This sounds like a graphics or memory issue. What is your graphics card, is your graphics driver up to date, what is your RAM at?

or maybe your computer just really slow? My computer's screen always turns white when the game first starts and when it's running really slow it seems like it'll freeze, but eventually it'll start moving again.
Then again it could truly be a graphics card issue.

For some reason whenever I open the login thing it loads the stuff in my webbrowser rather than in the launcher.
