Back from a 1-year Break, What'd I Miss?

Hey guys,

I stopped playing Fiesta about a year ago and lately I decided to start playing it again, as I was getting bored of Runescape. So after one week of troubleshooting and not being able to load the game (darn you xtrap), I was finally able to properly load the game and use a character. I was actually surprised to see that my level 3x mage and 2x fighter in Apoline were still alive.

Can someone give me a brief overview of what happened over the last year in Fiesta? And also, I have a few questions:

-what's an academy and how do I join one?
-I still have holiday items from way back (moose choc, easter eggs), are they worth anything?
-what's a BK axe?
-has the Fiesta market stabilized and is there a general pricetag to everything now? I remember when I was playing, copper ores could go anywhere from 3c to 150c.
-what's the best way for characters my level to make money?
-this is related to troubleshooting: My launcher always tries to download the newest client, but I already downloaded it. At the moment, I'm getting away with typing in my password really quickly before the launcher disables me from logging in because it's trying to download the new client. Any way I can fix this?

It's a bit hard to cover everything, (when you're lazy like me,) but as for your client problem, I'd actually suggest downloading the game again. I know it's a pain, but I just tried the same thing earlier today with an earlier version of the game and it didn't let me in.

-what's a BK axe? lvl 95 axe
-has the Fiesta market stabilized and is there a general pricetag to everything now? I remember when I was playing, copper ores could go anywhere from 3c to 150c. it's kinda stable now but fighter stuff are ''overpriced''
-what's the best way for characters my level to make money? abyss

Can someone give me a brief overview of what happened over the last year in Fiesta? And also, I have a few questions:

Academies are tied to guilds. Any guild that is created automatically has an academy. Players can join an academy without invitation. A guild receives points when an academy member levels and a 5% guild buff (5% increase to all stats). The academy members receive rewards when they level, too. The higher ranked a guild is, typically, the higher the rewards. The rewards are set by the guild, so they could vary from money to scrolls to pets.


-I still have holiday items from way back (moose choc, easter eggs), are they worth anything?

The chocolates currently aren't that valuable. The Easter Eggs are as the quest is still going on for this year.


what's a BK axe?

Bellow Knight Axe. The first one is level 85 and there's another at 95, but that's, technically, a Bellow Knight Rord axe. (Yes, that's what the axe says... Rord.)

Something like copper ore will probably always fluctuate because it's a lower level item and new people will try to sell it for insane prices, but as you go higher things will tend to say in a range.


-what's the best way for characters my level to make money?

Join an academy. The Abyss is an okay place to get money, if you can stand up against PKers (Player Killers). If you're killed in the Abyss, you lose exp. It's a sacrifice to be made for the drops/exp to be found in the Abyss.

If you've not tried it yet, try uninstalling and reinstalling. Also, make sure you're downloading from the OutSpark links, not somewhere else, as sometimes those links don't work as well.

As for a quick summary of things that have changed:
-Cap is 105, new maps,
-Roumen's different looking,
-Cash Shop weddings work (you get a power of love buff of 5% and it's 10% when partied with your spouse and a "summon spouse" skill),
-Monarch system works (I recommend getting a master if you're lvl 1-40, you get nifty stuff, like War Rants and Exp Boost Cards, when you hit level 10, 20, 30, and 40 in your Reward bag)
-New Reward bag in your inventory for Academy and Monarch rewards
-Fiesta Leaderboards (http://fiesta.outspark.com/news/leaderboards) which is a reward for killing people in the Abyss.
-Level range for Dungeons are changed (i.e. 20-36 for Marlone, 30-46 for Graveyard, 40-56 for Concealed Peak, etc).
-Abysses have different ranges than originally ("2x Abyss" is 10-36, "3x Abyss" is 10-46, "4x Abyss" is 10-56, "5x Abyss" is 10-66, etc)

There's more, but I can't remember atm.

I've actually found the new patch has fixed a good deal of the "lameness" of the game. I'm glad to get back to doing AoE instead of mindless repeats over and over. Also, as a support cleric, I'm super happy mages have good damage again. Gives me something to do. =D

-Academy is the mini version of a guild but you get prizes and money for every level you leel up. You can join by click f then clicking the academy button and typing in the academy you want to join.
-Keep your holiday items they use the same ones. I had some easter eggse from two years ago and they used easter eggs again this year.
-all items can be sold if you have the right marketing techniuqes.
-The way to make money is pretty much the same though.
