i just bought a new pc that has windows vista home premium with avec service pack 1 on it. i downloaded the game but couldnt get it to work. if you r having the same problem then do the following steps and see if they work for you as well.

step 1: set game in compatable mode with window xp service pac 2

step 2: update your Direct X

step 3: update your graphics card

i did all 3 of these steps and now the game is working for me.

i hope this helps others out there that is having problems getting the game to work for them that have a version of vista on their pcs.

finaly figured out after 4 dls of sos how to make sos run on my pc.Bought a new emashines last friday.
1.dont down load the first dl down load the bittorent one.the other one to the left doesn't work or well not dl and always doesn't respound so the bittorent is the way to go.
2.got direct x 9.0 from another game so i was lucky but as for you go find a direct x 9.0 dl.
2.after it is done dling before the updates make sure the game runs on mircosoft windows service package 2 or the clent well keep unrespouning when you try to log on to a server.

well i cant find where it says what kind of chipset or grapphics card the pc has but i did find this info.....

Right click on the client exe, hit properties, go to compatability, then choose Windows XP Server Pack 2 from the dropdown box.
