I think it be a great idea if SoS offered a name change item, which is of course, needs SC in order to take effect.

Pretty much its for people who wants to change their in game name, thats all to it xD

That might get complicated. I think when you pick a name noone else on the server can use it, even if you delete the character. If you start letting people change their names, then you are going to tie up a lot of in game names. Maybe if they put a limit on it, like only one change per character and the character must be at least level 45. Either that or set the server so deleted character names and changed names become available again.

Well my idea for that was once you name change, you can't change it again for 3 months, lvl requirement 45, and the name changes apply after next patch.

Sound good >.<

Uh. If you delete your character, the name is free to use again.

Buying your way out of trouble? Ah, smells like America.

But Outspark keeps track of all SparkCash transactions and IP address..etc.. (list goes on)

Point is, even if you did change your name, Outspark has a record =o

I don't know about this idea. It could be use positively as it can be used for wrong reasons...

bahaha.
FTW. :D

Also, it would be cool, just... Extremely confusing. And PLEASE don't let them come up randomly in lucky balls. Homagawd.

Eh well ._.

If you think of it on another view, let's say a new person came and took a name of a hacker...

Ah the party ~.o

But as I said, the name change should be changed during a server check, rather than instantly, so Outspark can review if he/she did some illegal stuff and is attempting to run away from it via a name change.

First point was directed at Taz. Second was directed at pooch. xD

I have no opinion on the idea itself. It could work fine, it could be confusing.

It is free again? Someone who accidently got his neo deleted told me he couldn't make a new one with the same name. Maybe it was too soon or maybe someone beat him too it.

I don't have a strong feeling one way or another about the idea, but unfortunately my mind kind of went the same way as Poochy's. Only I thought someone would borrow some gears, join a few guilds, empty the storage, change name.

Would the new name automaticly change on your friends buddy list or would you have to run around explaining and doing it manually?

As much as I would LOVE this idea, but it WOULD get extremely complicated and confusing.
There was another thread like this... I'll try looking for it.

Interesting. I've deleted my own character to re-make one of the same name immediately before. Maybe I'm special, i don't know.

If you delete a char, the name is free to use again. I did it many times to get the hairstyle I wanted, because I had that glitch when you cant see the char when youre creating it... If I knew there was the hairstyler ingame :|
So I guess your neo friend just ran out of luck and got beat...

By the way, why do you want to change your name Ayu ? I like your name and I think it's pretty original :D

Aww ty and your name is familar =p

But this idea was for my alt (around the lvl 7x ) and deleting and remaking it just to get a new name is a waste >.<

The SC option would be a convience to me and a few others =x

As for other people's intent for changing their name for rulebreaking, again I say Outspark has logs D:

I don't think it'd be as confusing as some people seem to think it would be. There's a lot of other games that offer name change services and it works just fine. The policies/compromises for these services are usually along the lines of:

- The name change has to be bought (with real life money) and ranges from $10-$15 per character
- The actual name change will take place 1-2 weeks after the request has been put in
- You can only apply for a name change once every 3-6 months

If Outspark were to adapt these compromises for a cashstore name-change item or a service, I don't see it becoming a big problem. 1-2 weeks, for instance, is plenty of time to tell your friends and acquaintances 'Hey, my name is going to be changed to <insert name> soon!'.

The 1st bullet was quite expensive, I'd say $7-$9. Other than that perfect ideas x3
