I was wondering wouldn't it be better if they sold those 3 minute buffs in the town shops or had a quest with 1-2 day cooldown where you can get sets of those buffs for grinding use. What do you think? ;)

Sorry pooch gotta disagree with you there.

It's a great idea to have them available for sale. It will make items cost less (deflation) if everyone is spending their kron on candies.

This idea has been bounced around multiple times before, but Outspark and the GMs choose to ignore it. :(

A Kron sink does not necessarily mean deflation.

Case in point. Candy goes on sale in Brynhild for 1000 kron each. Candy has a 3 minute buff. Candy provides higher attack power for someone to kill faster on higher maps then they could normally play. They get more drops in shorter periods of time due to faster killing which COULD lead to more money in the economy due to selling at NPCs and actually cause inflation. I wonder what the point of diminishing returns would be? What should the market price be for candy?

Anyway, I would still like tradeable, bankable, buyable candy. A week trial followed by a month of economic observation (without the candystore) would be most interesting.

The term may not have been completely context-appropriate, I just wanted to use a term people would understand.

10-20K each (maybe more). The price could be dropped if it turns out no one is buying. The candies actually last 5 minutes each, so it would cost 120-240K an hour to use them. This may seem like a lot, but I guarantee all the high levels would be buying them up.

While the candies help people grind faster, I don't think anyone would be raking in an additional 100K+ an hour by using them.

I would at least like them to be bankable (so I could put any useless magic souls I had onto my app or something). I'm not sure they need to be vendable/tradable if there's an NPC shop. Then you'll just see people trying to jack up the price reselling. I don't really care if people try and resell, but I don't like the vending clutter of useless stores. >_>

Sounds like a reverse Monty Python gag...

1, 2, 5....

3 sir...

right, 3...

*pitches the holy hand grenade and blows the evil bunny to bits

Point taken...5 minute buffs for candy not 3...Never keep track of that stuff

20 k might be enough to be an effective kron sink on all but the highest levels, Rangers in particular. I think they keep the same programming for Adeline/Mariane so 20k would be extremely high on Mariane. I would miss the crazy events with Mayos. Maybe they could get mayos to drop pet quest items...

They sell those buffs from the mayo mayos in xenepic in the store and last for up to 30 days. There also ones that expire at different times , so if they were to sell them it would definitely be in the cash shop.

I'm glad they scatter those candies for everyone in town instead of putting them in cash shop like the case in Xenepic. But yeah it would be even better if the candies were given as a reward for some challenging or difficult quests.

what about a mob extermination quest? like where u have to kill a certain number of certain mobs on a checklist based on your lvl tier and then u check back w/ the npc and u get a certain amount of the candy of your choice?
