Some of the houses also have an upstairs and a downstairs. So they do get kinda big.

Well, to be fair, there are have pretty major bugs/glitches arising from the previous two updates. And DNC has a long standing habit of every new big update having some sort of noticeable bug in it.

Aya's Anecdote:
Hey, remember when emoticons first came out? 1st everyone complained that they flooded their chat box. So eventually this was fixed, so that the emoticon just displayed like it does does now. But then, every time someone emoted, if you were typing the cursor would disappear from the chat box and you'd have to click again. So then an update came out that addressed that issue, but THEN when someone emoted some people in the game would FREEZE for a while. This was enough to KILL PEOPLE that were aoeing or otherwise occupied. Eventually they fixed this but man, this is a great example of how new bug after new bug kept popping up.

So, I am torn between cautious optimism and my default pessimism.

If i remember correctly, Toasty told me the houses will be buyable in-game with kron but the furniture will be sparkcash. And knowing how Outspark likes to do things: the furniture will probably expire after a month so you'd have to keep buying and make their wallets get fatter.

If the furniture is only sparkcash...then you'd have an empty house? That seems somewhat useless...dang, looks like I'm a "party breaker" like tengokuken, lol. What IS the use of it? O.o I mean I could see the furniture being fun. Inviting friends over to "your place" to chat on the fun stuff, but that's lots of money to shell out on something that just looks nice. Personally, when I buy sparkcash it's usually something that's practical, such as items for added defense (cow bell, cloaks), exp. boost books, and a leveling kit here and there when they're on sale.

Hmmm...well, I definitely won't knock the idea until I find out more! They do look really awesome >.>

i THINK when you get a house, it will have some basic furniture. Not sure on this but i do slightly remember Toasty telling me that. Not sure though, he only said it once and its very hard to remember the exact words x_x But i clearly remember him telling me that the furniture will be sparkcash and the houses themselves will be buyable in-game with Kron.

But, what's to stop them from changing their plan and make everything sparkcash including the houses themselves? Yeah so even if Toasty told me that stuff in the paragraph above, they can easily change the plan if they wanted to so we won't know anything for certain until the update comes.

From the meeting we were told housing was all kron. Nothing was sc so idunno if that has changed or what. I will NOT buy furniture that continues to expire. Sorry outspark

Outspark is coming out with more things that people have COMPLAINED they havent done. They do it and look more complaints. There has been new maps. A few times already. Now we get fun things and we need complaints? I am excited for the players to have something fun to look forward to instead of just grind grind grind. Way to go outspark for attempting to bring fun back into the game.

Ok now with people complaining about bugs... Being a web developper I know what it's all about when your things are bugged and customers constantly harrassing you to fix it and stuff, since they put some money in it blah blah... I just say give the developpers a break, so far I think they have done an awesome job for bringing us such a cool game, which is absolutely playable. Keep complaining and you'll just put more and more stress on them. You should consider that making such a game is VERY complicated, so a few bugs wont hurt gosh. I mean, just take a look at Windows lol, it's more buggy than SotS :D

Why don't we save complaints about glitches until after the houses are out and then complain IF there are glitches? No need to take the wind out of everyone's sails! Why complain about something that hasn't happened? We're finally getting more content that is fun aside from grinding and that's awesome! That's what has brought me back to start playing frequently again (and my wolfies <3). So let's wait and see once they come out. I'm happy with the updates that have come out with recently, yes the chat glitch is annoying, but kinda funny at the same time (just find the humor in it!) but you can solve the problem yourself by opening the chat log and seeing who says what. That's my piece :3

I think these houses will be a fun thing to work for. stop complaining for a second and look at the positive things cant you? NOBODY IS FORCING YOU TO OWN ONE!!

Well, a couple council meetings ago we were told that the houses will be sold for kron only, and there will be some basic
furniture available for kron too. There will also be some furniture items that are bought with SC, I think it's safe to assume
the nicer stuff will be SC. So don't fear cashless players. :3

Where do these things even go? How do you get to them? o_O Is there any value to them beyond aesthetics? Not that it would be bad, although it's interesting that when people get bored of the grinding or pvp, there has to be something in-game completely unrelated to the game for them to do... instead of... doing something else.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it if that's all there is to it. Everybody seems to like the aesthetics part of them. It was a simple inquiry, not a shot at the concept. :P

EDIT: They should totally have SC food like pretzels and popcorn or whatever exclusively for gatherings at these houses that buff HP and/or MP as soon as one leaves another's house, ahaha. Or non-SC. Whatever.

Is anyone going to give some kind of solid info on the housing? instead of just pictures? not that pictures aren't cool, cause they are ;) it's simply that we have no idea just how far they are on the development of the houses or what goes in them or how they are realy bought, what npc would be selling them, and the real scoop on prices, items in them...will they posibly drop on maps or do u need items that already drop to make items that go in houses? there are tons of unasked and unanswerd questions about houses yet..more info is required before serious speculation on if they are good or not can be done, in my humble opinion lol
but all in all I'm way for the idea!!! ...i realy, realy am..*goes back to drooling over the gingerbread house* :eek:
and as for all the new stuff thats now avalable..the wings and pet stuff..I'm like so wanting them, but so not able to, but so working for it all!! it's realy given the game a shot in the arm and a reason for all that grinding besides the lvling. I'm all 'thumbs up' over the stuff even with the glitches involved. besides...I've yet to see in any game that runs while it's developing even one new thingy that didn't have a glitch when it was first tryd out. these thingys happen and make for some interesting stories later on while sitting round chatting wit yer buddies :D
