I have been a player of Fiesta for a while now. and have slowly watched the community downfall... The attitude of newer players is insane, Noone is ever there to sort them out and not everyone is going to be bothered to Screenshot misbehaviour, as its a waste of time where you could be grinding.
Ages ago, i used to see many GMs in Teva ( sorry this is probs going to be biased to Teva as i dont play in any other server) These GMs ran events, and random little things for players as a friendly way of keeping the community alive.
Unlike now... i havent seen a GM in absolute ages! I havent really seen many events where you can get involved in! just sale by sale of Spark Cash items! the older players are leaving and getting fed up of all the attitude and nastly things happening, and the server is getting run by lower levels demanding things with no respect at all! The Community of this game is dieing and noone has any respect for anyone else anymore.
Tbh, the attitude of the players to the staff of Fiesta is outrageous! show some respect to them as they are there to help the best they can! but seriousley we need more Events, Random GM Visits Excetera! i loved the summer dance party and the Angels & Demons events! these were so good and got everyone together having fun.
Why has all that stopped?

The GM's are now non existent..........whereas we had the great Dakkon/SnakeEyes/Silky/Wildfire/etc...........we now have fairly wishy washy GM's who are not special in any way.
The old GM's played and had fun, these new ones are just bots >.>

I couldnt agree more, the attitudes of some are insane, im close to quiting , ive played aslong as robRENGADE... as a few know I am an older player and i get so much disrespect its unreal....people seem to forget on the end the character is a real human being, people who have feeling and being direspected does alot.....feelings get hurt, not to mention angry cuz of no respect for others ... it would be great to see Teva the way it use to be.....but I cant see it happening....

This is what happens when they get so interested in money that they just forget/ignore the community. It happens in all games eventually and is pathetic.

I guess it's gotta be hard to try to interact with the player base on a personal basis now, since there's more people and all. But I have so many fun memories with the old GMs. LOL on one of my first trips to Uruga, I was soloing... GM Steam snuck up on me in the distance, and spawned trees all around me. I couldn't see anything, it was hilarious! Then he just ran off. Dakkon would just poof out of nowhere and hug someone (front and center action), and then poof off again. I remember Nei popping into KQs just to watch and cheer us on. You know. Little things of a personal nature like that. It was a nice touch. :)

i started around october 2007 i've had different characters cuz i got bored and deleted them tried different strategies. but all the time i've played i've watched it get nastier and nastier. and yes it's true that the lower levels have started demanding things without respect. i also used to enjoy partying up with fighters. i'd party up with them and i wasn't told to sit back and heal. if i was in trouble with something they'd come and help and we'd have a laugh about it after. these days if you party with a fighter and your a cleric your told to just heal. and it's not politely either. and if you dont party up with them you get ks'd or if your in the abyss killed because you were in "their" room
i remember the first actual wedding they had. it was gm dakkon's. that was really good. but really laggy too. but it was still a laugh. i used to see dakkon everywhere. along with silky, snakeyes and a few others too.

I remember the old days...I especially miss Steam..and even Dakkon sometimes o.o even though he was always angry when I was around. I do have to thank him though, 'cause back when I thought buying from gold spammers was legal he let my account live ._. I was too terrified of getting the ban hammer to remember to thank him before he spontaneously poofed D:
The community was much nicer back then...the gradual increase in disrespectful players is extremely depressing. I feel like an old lady sitting on her porch screeching at the "younguns" to get off my lawn and go to school. x.x It's horrible.
I still think back to the way things used to be...and think; "can haz rollback D:?" As if the new fully charmed/extended newbies would stand for getting their turbo charged SC chars revoked o:x.x~ I wish I had screenshots from way back when o:
As wolfy said, yea, fighters had a better idea of how to...well...be fighters. I was a super squishy magey, and they always protected me and the cleric in our party. People actually knew how to do KQs back then too...

I dont post much and i guess i would be considered a relatively new player. However i started playing fiesta about a year ago (started on Bijou now on Apoline), and even then i remember events and weddings and a good amount of GM activity. I took a break for a few months cause i really wasn't having any fun. When i made my character on apoline however i started having a lot more fun but i haven't seen ANY GM activity other then announcements about BOGO and whatnot.

Wow, you miss a lot being off for a while. Life got crazy so I more-or-less stopped playing in December. I just started re-playing a week ago and all of a sudden all the servers are "high". Now all clerics think they can clank, and ignore the rest of the party - and then get themselves killed and ask the other "clanker" to rev. The fighters are mean to non-fighters and KS all the time. Archers seem non-existant, and, well, there's really no one generality for mages, but I'm sure it's bad. :P
People aren't nice anymore. Just today I spent a whole KQ listening to 2 guys curse (or attempt to) each other out! And no one seems to understand the higharchy of higher leveled characters!
Pwah! What happened to the GMs? How did I miss their disappearing act?

This is sooooo tru! I may be a new player ( been playing for some time now, I have a 64 mage) but I can say that some people have some nerve! A lot are really cursing all the time or are blackmailing or things like that. To the point that the game suffer from this. People making pt and quiting when mobs are there just to have a good laugh at his dead comrades. I dont know wy theres people like this...maybe they should put an age restriction or something....And theres not only that...theres the spammers that sell golds, theres the vendor who sell false item..theres so much bad things going on lately and YES the GMs are missing. They are never there.I just dont know what to say about this..guess theres nothing we can do
I see Silky (afking) and at random times other GMs such as Nekopon pop in ^^
The best place to catch them is in Elderine! As for the community, I've noticed in EVERY new mmo that has come out, people are all generally nice to eachother for the first few months. Then the true sides begin to show. ;)
I don't believe the community is all that bad. :P

Yes I know what you mean, some people are very rude especaly to clerics, but not everyone that is new is rude(I joined nov 2008),I always try to nice to other players, and on my fighter i'm nice to the clerics in my pt(even when some of them don't heal).Myabe it's cause I'm older(I turn 23 on the 15th).but while some people aren't nice, there are nice people to, just today I was on my fighter she was lv 17 then, ans someone was offering free weapons to people to clear their inventory and gave me a lv 20 2h sword, plus someone gave me a lv sword and t1 lix all for free, I never asked for it, they just offer it.there are still nice people, their just harder to find.
Oh btw there is a age limit, your sopost to 13 or older to play.
I agree with more events thing too, they did do the angel and demons thing back april or march.
I'v seen a few GM's, but they don't come on often.

Keeping all the dances would be a good idea. The new ones pale in comparison to the old ones.
Here is the problem with GM events: people would hate them because lower level players couldn't take part because they'd just get slaughtered. Higher level players had to be there to kill the boss monsters, and for their hard work they would earn.. yes that's right, a possible chance to pick a chest that will give them a t1 elrue.
Maybe if they made the chests drop T4 stones or more valuable items sometimes, it would be more exciting.
One downside of having less GM activity is that players feel more lost in the game. They want reassurance from "the big boss man." But.. what I noticed when the GM's would talk a lot was that some of them would get pretty irritated and make rash decisions. It wasn't all fun and games. I actually saw GM's bullying players.. It got really bad sometimes..
I'd like to see GOOD gm's around and no bad ones. They really need to hire GM's that actually enjoy playing the game, because it is those GM's that understand what it takes to make a funny joke or to address the concerns of players.

I've been playing since the very first day Fiesta came out and LOTS has changed during the course of the game's duration. I admit I miss the old GMs but the reality is that history does face changes. As the community grows, so do our mentalities. It's an awesome journey, a journey that has changed my life in awesome ways :)

They are probably have attitude problems because other people have attitude problems to them. But yeah, I agree. It's less fun without all the events and os keeps just having deals on the announcements instead of events. Some //most?// players ig thinks they are all that and they pwn us all, they have no respect. Most people in Abyss PK, they don't care about the people that have no bot and loosing all their hard work and exp >.> then wars comes along. Srsly, what goes around, comes around. Treat people with respect if they want to be treated the same .___. or people are just evil and meanie and stubborn to not listen and just do whatever they want QQ. I'll been playing for liek 2 years now? I took a 6 months break from September 2008 till February 2009 and a lot of changes happened. x.x

To answer a few things I've seen:
The GMs are online, and somewhat often - but if you're in MS, HS, or work a 9-5, you'll probably not see them much.
GM_Frank is overseas, and thus, no longer a part of the States' version of Fiesta. He amused me, though, killing a bot that was harvesting near the BCT patch at one point.
As was mentioned, the typical events in towns were frowned upon by a lot of players for the reasons already mentioned - and don't forget Vendor deaths. During that time, though, there were also the GLs who ran events.
The 'greed' of the players is somewhat the community's fault - we tolerate it, and whine about it in the forums. Very little effort is made to correct it, and to a large degree, we reinforce it (how many of us have power leveled our alts with a different account?). On top of that, what has been said about all MMO communities is very accurate - they start with nice people, and then, once mainstream, gather an increasing number of jerks. This is normal, and applies to all hobbies and professions.
Really, to me, this thread is somewhat pointless. Things change. If you want the environment/community to go back to what it was, then make a determined effort.

Yeah...but saying "I miss the old Fiesta" is like saying I miss the 50's. xD
And I started playing shortly after closed beta...
People change as the community changes. We adapt and learn from the environments we are in.
Yeah, I miss the fight-a-boss events (the only time it seemed I could get Robo or Honeying =P), the "special" events like the olympics and the find the GM. But I think some good points were made here...and I also think that we need to take into consideration as to what the GM's role really is. I mean, do they need to cater to our every whim (as some noobs seem to think) or should they fix all the nagging bugs that annoy and dishearten the older more established players?
In all honesty there is no answer...but what I think SHOULD happen is that they (GMs) need to listen to the everyday, regular players. WE are the ppl who see what is going on day-to-day. AND...for the most part they do, and I applaud them. But, they are limited in the capacity as to what extent they can regulate the game. The players need to take more responsiblity for their in-game actions. For example, one of my pet peves are ppl who train on other ppl. It's just rude and will often time result in the trained upon person's death or make them work real hard to survive. In-game solution to this is to NOT quest in "high-traffic" areas. But what about kill stealing? Like doing a Greenky quest when you have 3-4 groups all fighting over 3 Big Greenky. I mean, is cussing that individual going to accomplish anything? Or even better, take a screenie and report them right?! like that works (I've tried). What about KQ leeching? OMG soooooo many issues O.O!! I know >.< Rant, Rant, Rant!!!
Yes, I miss the "old" fiesta when people were newer and kinder and more considerate, but the truth is they are still out there and it is syphoning out the good from the bad...check your friend list lately? lmao How many of your "old" friends are still active?

You know, the new GM's always will have the older players (like me) to contend with, we remember the first, the original. I still think Steam was the best, along with Cretz when he was a CSR and Dakkon coming in third. I once said in Elderine on shout when a GM (a newer one) that I thought Steam was the best- they replied that if he was so great, why isn't he still here?
Then I said that so long as we remember him, he still lives on. I cooincidentally disconnected quite quickly after that made shout... I'm not going to accuse a GM of doing this, but we know GM's have disconnected people for fun before, why not because they hear something that isn't breaking ToS, but disagrees with them all the same?
Anyways- the attitude of the community has declined. The few badmouths do tend to ruin it for many. However, once you find the good groups of people, it's not easy to leave them behind- they become great friends.
My only real grievance is that there are now spammers in Uruga =O... There's this spammer called qinbaobao399... he's been in Uruga this whole last week- and no GM has gotten rid of him. Players are taking it into their own hands to train an orc up the stairs and kill him.
Before they did away with GL's- we had regular visits from Nei and Asp (My favorite GL's, I loved those guys) they regularly cleaned out Roumen and Elderine of spammers. Now who's doing that? Supposedly Rayse, as he randomly appears- but there isn't a regular cleanout-
Example:http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff29/TakimiRyumi/screenshot1565.jpg
That's alot of spammers... not to mention the strange fighter peculiarity... And there were more behind me, but there were a couple just sitting there...
Anyways. Yes, I feel the GM's are slacking. I also feel that punishments are getting more and more... communistic, I suppose. You mouth off once, you get banned. I've even heard there isn't a jail anymore. There appears to be no more 1st offense, this punishment, 3rd offense yer outta here!
It's like, first offense, BAN 'EM! There is no moderation. And you know what else has been sickening? I'll hear about how this one person is the rudest you can ever imagine. Swearing left and right, but as soon as a GM shows up? They're the biggest brown-nosers you'll ever see. I'll see it on shout and feel like wretching. And from their shouts, the GM's seem to fall for it.
No offense if you're a GM and reading this, but for goodness sakes, look around! What about the other problems in this game?
Let's take enhancing. T1 items, fairly easy to enhance. I can get to +8 before it breaks about 2/5 items. T2? It's still reasonable. But now we get to T3. I spent 20 xir once on an item. I didn't get past +6. That weapon is still only +8 today. I spent 25 dollars worth of stones to enhance ONE item, and it's still not +9.
And let's not even get into T4. And T5 will be practically impossible! Your gold nines that increase the chance by 15%? Yeah, like it helps much. Doesn't do diddly squat.
Here's a pet peeve! Fighter's stun! Who else has noticed that a fighter can seemingly stun you from ACROSS THE ROOM? I'm on my archer, I'm running away from them. I am OUTSIDE of the stun range. Guess what? I get stunned. Then I get beaten to a pulp. Maybe try, oh, I don't know, making it more realistic? Fighters are far to overpowered, the stun just being one issue.
And what about mage and archer stones? That's screwed too. I'm barely in 7x abyss for a half-hour before I have to restone. There's even a thread going on right now catalouging all the class' stones at each level. It's already obvious that mages are more than handicapped there, archers coming in second.
Events? I feel they don't mean anything anymore. They aren't explained very well. The trivia event for example. The GM running the event DOES NOT TELL YOU whether X = true or false. I get disqualified on the very first question because I thought X was true, so I ran to X, guess what? Apparently O is true. I would have gotten the question right if they'd told us. That first question ruled out 3/4 of the competition because it wasn't explained.
My next biggest peeve? Clerics get nerfed at the job change at level 100. Guardians don't even get shields. The way the skills get divvied up makes NO sense. It SEEMS like Holy Knights get the buffs and what-not- but you're FORCED to use a mace unless you want to use a hammer from 9x levels. Personally? I hate maces. But I want to be able to buff.
And what about the T5 decomp scrolls? Fiesta releases T5 recipes for every other production at the NPC's except for decomposition and composition. I'm currently about to dish out more than a gold for one recipe. It might even end up being more than 2 gold for two recipes combined.
Yes, I think Fiesta has declined somewhat- but the current state of affairs makes it seem like it won't be improving. We need a call to action- but wait, we've done this before and it's been ignored.
Hmm~ I wonder what this will even accomplish? Probably nothing.

Ya and those who expect to be plvled. When i first joined the lvl-exp hadn't really been sorted out yet so you could lvl grinding cause quests didn't give much exp. But now people expect to be plvled. They say they're stuck or they keep dying. If this was ur attitude back then you would have been 1% of the population. Now its up to 25% i may be exagerating but its my closest estimate

i started playing fiesta around march 2007, i have to said that lots of things has change some are good and some are bad. most old players are gone now only leaves their legacy behind. many friends come and gone. the gm events, [event hold almost every weeks just before maintenance] truly something i love and always looking forward to it and truly a nice way to end the day. the times i has spend with them was remarkable memories. but now it's a different story. some gm a lame i have to say, no events, and etc.....i wish i can turn back the time to where it's hold my happiest memories and why i enjoin playing fiesta til today. i wish the gm will be more like a gm instance of bot.

I started on OoS for CB, unfortunately didn't get time for OB or when OS took over, but I started playing here last, um, Feb? March? Early in the year. I made my first character, a Cleric, who I still proudly play and enjoy playing as. Back then, I wasn't much the conversationalist, actually Fiesta was my first MMO and I've done the years of single-player of console games, so for a while I was that on here too. Never disrespectful to people and none to me. Sure, there was the mass Gold Bots that I had to block everytime I went into town/logged IG (thank gawd they've added a perm block!) It was only several months into gaming that I really started to open up to the community as a social person, all thanks to one fighter. Very polite, a good laugh, great to party with. Man wish I'd kept those screenshots. Good times.
Took a break around July '08 for RL issues. Came back in Feb this year. My time back has had its ups and downs, but I quickly noticed the fall. Over the last month I've seen GM's (Silky and Rayse, mostly) In Elderine a lot, but they barely talk, I've seen perhaps three or four "events". Okay, so they do their bosses and mobs a bit high for the lower players and the vendors get slaughtered (yay one less lag -.-), but rather than everyone complaining (oh and the items in chests, yeah, could do with being a bit more rounded) perhaps the events being done slightly seperately to actually involve everyone of all levels. One mob for lower, one for higher, so on so forth (too much?) and more range of item levels from chests.
As for the attitude of players, I've had my good encounters and bad encounters, c'mon, that happens in life too. But yes, there should be a bit more respect going round. I've had a lot of nice people, pleasant players who have been polite. And then I've had the odd jacks who are utterly rude. "buff" or "buff me" no please IT WONT KILL YOU! My gawd I even had one while in Roumen, higher level character, "buff me *** omg *** buff me ffs", so I outright said no. What next? "F**ing *** im gna war u haha then kill u" Seriously... And there's been one or two others like that, foul-mouthed I swear I hope they don't talk to their mother like that (if I was their mother I'd wash their mouth out with soap) And yes, reported them too for it. If I wont stand for that treatment offline I sure as heck wont lie down and take it online.
However, it's the good times and the good friends I've made that keep me positive about this game. And I do enjoy it. I mean if I don't want to listen to people talk crud to me I wont, if I don't want to party with people I wont and oh my there's another rant. Yes I'm a clank build and I love my build but I know my place in a party, I do NOT need some stuck up fighter telling me how to do my job or some other person whatever their class telling me "use this it will help" when obviously they're the ones needing that anyway or trying to say "use this weapon/gear you need X stat" ("so you can stand back and heal") MY GAWD PEOPLE! If I can withstand half the mob you gathered because my Heal causes the agro I can stand where the heck I please to heal you. And it does NOT matter where I stand oh my I've stood farthest away as possible to still heal, I STILL GET THE ONES YOU ARE NOT HITTING! Or I just get the ones that spawn/are near me come at me. Safer next to you than away from you, least you can AoE them still and not need to run to my rescue (even though most of them don't anyway -.- ) Only time I run in and clank with the party is if it's just me and a friend duoing and I know we're both safe for me to do so.
I'm done ranting now, I hope, anyway, for your sakes lol But yes, more GM interactivity more events preferably for all round, GM's that are helpful and willing to help and PLEASE PEOPLE PLEASE! Please isn't that hard to say nor hard to spell, none of this shorthand crud D:

Archers seem non-existant, and, well, there's really no one generality for mages, but I'm sure it's bad. :P
People aren't nice anymore. Just today I spent a whole KQ listening to 2 guys curse (or attempt to) each other out! And no one seems to understand the higharchy of higher leveled characters!
Pwah! What happened to the GMs? How did I miss their disappearing act?
As for the mage if your not "the best" then your treated badly and called "the squshy of the party"

We need more events that aren't just kill kkp or ghost knight we need walk a lvl 1 to uruga or defend a town from a mob of orcs not BR monsters monsters from uruga those were fun events where u had now its mass BR spawn and complete murder
Yeah, I like that even too escorting an archer from roumen to uruga. Now if we have one go all the way to new town it will be real fun.
I have make a new mage, block the spmmers and after 1 week the spammers are still not grey (dead).
Just today I got a wonderful insult form nubblet. I log in my cleric for a couple of minute before lunch and want to do some buffing. A nubblet is begging buff by storage so I buffed him. Than he turn around say not you <my cleric's name> I want <another cleric name>'s buff, he is 80. Oh well so am I. Instant block and no buff ever. :p
It is people like these that I really starting to dislike the game and do less and less buffing.

OMG i know that feeling. I really hate when player that already got buff from lower level cleric begging for my cleric's (8x) buff. I find it really rude to rebuff someone when they already shown kindness by other cleric with buff. Buff is a privilege, and as i play with 2 of my nubs start on march this year, i found out even without buff i could lvl fast. with repeat quest is there, there is no need for a buff unless i gonna solo bosses for my quest.

Hamsters...
Its not like the old community is perfect as well though, always on forums they pick fights with each other increasing tension by such trivial matters such as 'Im not charmed'. Just as Stingerdans siggy quotes from GoldenWidow 'its a game, get over it'. Funny how some of the people who complain about Drama are the people who start it.
Also it sickens me when I see people all sweet-talking with the GMs, expecting them to gift them something nice, i pity the GM's if they fall for such a trick. Seriously, ***? get your own sparkcash. You hav to work for it. I may be biased cos i never got my own sparkcash but...nah, me? jealous of pixels? you kidding me? You dont like the game, you dont play it, grow up, get out of ur comfort seat and do something productive. I dont think getting to lvl 100 and becoming a warlock is such a great achievement...No business is gonna accept you for that, not even McD's.
Also i never had a problem with the new people, but i guess thats a pro for me :) Anyways, Fighting over pixels is completely stupid. Just shows that you are too addicted to Fiesta. You know when you play a lot of Fiesta since Fiesta will interfere in your life. You know when you're addicted since your life will interfere with Fiesta. And if the latter happens to you...good luck
I wrote that with my own bias so it doesnt apply to everyone.
Love and peace, stop fighting over pixels, ease the tension

Your'e right.It is JUST a game.Id like a better community though,and I hate sweet talkers,
even though I tried it once too lol.I somehow remember when I started playing Fiesta,I think a NPC told me to add friends and especially add GMs but to do so, you need to be really friendly with them, they might even give me a little gift and its also nice to know them. However, at that time, I thought GMs are NPCs ore Guild Managers lol.I tried adding a GM once but got rejected.Broke m heart lol T.T.Anyway, all people want a good community but to do so they need to be good too.

haha set up a good example...Have like 'fiesta prefects' running around Eldy right?? Technically...the GLs were the 'prefects' but they gone now i think
Why not make a Fiesta Training School/camp, in which they send new players to some deserted cybercafe in which they are forced to be trained in the harshest conditions in order to become ideal fiesta players...Re-education ftw right?

How many pages will be filled, with complaining about how fiesta is getting bad, BEFORE Outsparks take notice? Have you seen fiestaonline.com? Why is it different? If the people running the game, the production staff as well as the designers are tired of game, then why not bail out and sale to someone that is willing to make this the HOT game that is used to be? There are notices about how you SHOULDN'T do something cuase you will get banned, but have the staff at OS hanged out in the towns? Elderine mostly, but Uruga in the evening hours or early morning? OS dont want you to buy 3rd party gold, but the spammers are so huge that who isnt temped to buy? Now they have the gold spammers in Uruga! You account get banned, but being high lvl...... Who isnt maken a second account!? Yes there are REAL people behind that character running around doing all sorts of things, but your telling me that there are really stupid people here that dont know how do go around something? You had to take 10 minutes to run to Burning Rock, fighting your way there. You are good and get past, maybe you die and now you rather fight in Abyss cuase it isnt worth the travel time. Guilds started making warps, people join just for that warp. OS make gates to use, BUT its a 1 way gate! I have to laugh, all the Great things... turn out to be a tease! Tease you with marriage, YAY! People shouting, "DIVORCE!" Tease, perm. mounts.....people shout, " Gift me Feed!"
Its, "gift me", to "Gifts for gold". No you cant do that, but you cant curse, doing it..... you cant spam, doing it......you cant put down, call names to fellow members, stalk or get a divorce without having to contact Outspark.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.......... what more is going to happen to push more and more people away? "God all might up in heaven.... please let some one look down on us fiesta gamers and grant us our wish. Make Joy and Happiness rain down and spread the cheers that we missed so much!"
Thank you for reading, if you see me say, "hello" and I will try to give you a smile and a, "hi". Knowing I understnad, support and hope we cross paths again.

It's true that OS could do more to help out the community; but then again, so could all the players that are tired of the rude and inconsiderate newer players.
For example, they could use the Master/Apprentice system for its intended purpose: showing the newer players how to play and what the general manners of the game are. It may not seem like it would do much; but it does have an effect.
When you think about it, it's pretty obvious how most newcomers will act if people don't help them; I mean, what do they see and interact with when they are learning to play? Other low levels, who don't have manners, silver beggars, scammers, spammers, buff beggars, over-charging price gougers, and high levels with new low level accounts who frequently don't care about other players and will KS, spot claim, and threaten with high level alts when they don't get everything they think they deserve...what do you expect the new players to act like when these are the people they come into contact with more than any other?
I'm not saying that using the master/apprentice system will fix everything, I'm saying that if you want something to change; then change it. There are too many people in both worlds I watch where people are much more willing to complain about how bad things are than they are to take steps that could improve things.

Well x being false and o being true makes sense to me ,I wouldn't need a explainsion for that.
(I apolagise if that sounded harsh, i'm just saying that it made sense to me)
My next biggest peeve? Clerics get nerfed at the job change at level 100. Guardians don't even get shields. The way the skills get divvied up makes NO sense. It SEEMS like Holy Knights get the buffs and what-not- but you're FORCED to use a mace unless you want to use a hammer from 9x levels. Personally? I hate maces. But I want to be able to buff.
As for the shield I'v heard you can use a shield as a guardian.
And as for "the inbanlance", it's not as inbalanced as you think.
I'll explain with an older post of mine below:
Ok....let me see if I can brake this down so you people understand this as this thread got very confusing.
Guardian: Won't be as good solo, but if your a suport cleric(like me)you don't need to. As for the lack of party buffs, well if you can upgrade your heals, your healing more then a holy night, there for may not need the buffs to back you up,plus you can still use the lower level skills(everyone seems to be forgeting that). And as for the hammer as a tank/healer this makes sense because your aim is lower with a hammer and you attack slower, prefect for someone who won't be attacking much.
HolyKnight: Can solo, but can't heal as well so the party buffs make up for it.As for the mace, this make sense for a DD because your aim is better which means you hit more, and it has a faster attack rate which means you attack more, so in the long run your doing more damage.Plus you can still heal others, you just can't heal as much, but if you solo a lot, you wouldn't find as many situations when you to.
What it comes down to is what kind of cleric you want to become.
And if you have more then one cleric try doing one of each, it will take awhile to level up though.
And like I said in a older post on this thread, their are nice people still here, you just have to look, and it's just a game have fun with it, sure it would be nice if some people were nicer, but like in rl there's gonna be people that's are not, and refuse to let someone's inconsiderit behavor make me leave fiesta, cause there's lot's of nice stuff in fiesta too, you just have to find it.

Oh yea..the suck ups...omg I hate those >.< There was a girl who danced in front of [GM]Rayse for OVER 24 hours...I was like good God, log off, go level, do something else ffs!! There was also an occasion where a player (not naming names) had the angel wings LONG before she was supposed to...many people saw it, but she denied ever having them. I was like ..okay..whatever.. o.o
A few weeks later she was POTM. Whoopee O:
I desperately miss Steam; killing us all and randomly spawning stuff to confuse us o:
The new GM's are rather hateful sometimes...sorry, but they are. Instead of feedback or letting us know that they understand and are considering our concerns...they give us some smart *** comment and nothing ever happens. Or they denounce what we see first hand and go on with their day like we're the crazy ones. I know they have a lot to deal with and stuff; but come on... We're the ones fueling your paycheck o.O
I've vented about the increasing price of SC items in several other threads; but you all get the point. Everything is in packs now; for the love of all things holy, seperate them!!! Put each item in the Avatars section, and leave a slightly discounted pack in the Packs section. I don't want all of that other crud! =.=
Some people might not notice the difference in the community...but it's there. When you're a cleric you can't get out of elderine without 2 or 3 people chasing you across the map for a buff they don't even need. You get cussed out over absolutely nothing. Newer players (not all, but most) don't have the slightest idea of how to play the game, and they fully expect you to do everything for them; including dish out money every time they need it. Even high levels do this sometimes. It's depressing really...

D;
i feel your pain dude i feel the same way i remember when people had respect for each other and wernt so uptight i think its the pvp element thats making people this way

It actually still matters, and is most visible when mobbing. Extended and charmed characters without skill will often borderline die (if they survive in the first place), and are generally too dependent on said charms/extensions to be able to mob properly without them.
Now, in PvP, that's irrelevant, because as far as I know, you can't PvP mob. Or at least, I've not seen it happen.
