[GM]'s and Server Maintenance

This post touches on another topic posted today about GM's being non-existant in the game.

On Wednesdays I would get to my desk at work, log on to the forums, and see what changes were made to the game the previous night. Now all I get is Silkypico saying "Server maintenance complete at 12:00 PDT". Well no duh, it's always complete around that time. How about a list of things that were fixed, added, removed, etc. Those lists would get me jazzed about playing when I would get home at night. Now you have to figure out what's new.

Another item would be, no more boss events. Used to be once or twice a week there was a boss event in eldi. Not anymore.

Can we have new, more fun GM's?

Well, this maintenance was only a data backup.

There is no list of things that were fixed, added, removed, etc because there wasn't any.

There is 2 kinds of maintenance : those with patchs and those without.

That one was the 2nd kind : no patch, thus no list of things that were fixed, added, removed, etc.

It was just a routine maintenance so nothing was changed so nothing was needed to be mentioned. They always do show the patch notes when changes are made but sometimes there can be changes not even the staff are aware of that OnsOnSoft has made.

There should be another major patch coming up in the near future, but this wasn't it. lol. Why does something always have to be done when they have maint? Can't it just be a simple thing like backing up data? o.O

And on the topic of GM's... you have to be on at the right time, I think. GM's randomly drop by each server, and they still run regular events (check the calander?). So, it's not the same sort of contact there used to be when the game first started, but I don't really understand the mentality of people expecting it to remain the same no matter how big and populated this game becomes. People go on about how servers are always on high, and then expect GM's to accomodate such an influx of players to the same degree as when they were always on low/med. They do the best they can with the resources available. They still interact, they still have fun with players. Even when they're not actually working, you can still find them IG.

There are more GM's who assist and are doing a good job - go visit their OS pages and say hello if you don't see them IG.

There is always in the "Servers Status Announcements" forum the posts concerning the servers states aka closed (maintenance starting) or up (maintenance done).

Then, if there is a patch, you can find the details in a post done in the "News & Announcements" forum.

If there isn't any, then, that means that it was only a routine maintenance, with no patchs.

You're not a tard. It didn't say anything about it in the post because it just wasn't part of the maint details. The maint was just... a maint. Just back up. The recent level cap raise is only 1/2 done, with the second half coming up sometime soon, which will contain the class change details and *finger crossed* lv 90+ greens. Don't even talk to me about HK shields *stares at a page of HK shields* they don't count >.> lol.

on topic now, actually you will know if it is update or regular. Right after the game down, if you open launcher something download something is new. If regular maintainence nothing download and only say you are not invited to game message.
