idea on how to get more +96 gears!!! moved from warrior section to here

what about making a random day of every week where we all set a time to be around the maps that drop 96+ gear for a few hours or so at random times, doesnt have to be much time but more would be helpful. that way there are more chances to get more satis gears/challenge gears that can be sold in shops. that way we raise the supply and lower the cost.

now i know some of u might be thinking "oh yeah thats a stupid idea" or "why do i have to waste my time for others" or "dont wanna waste my time cuz i wanna lvl and be an awesome warlord someday" etc. etc.

well i tell u what, in order to get more lvls what do u need? Hmm lets think about this.... we need gears but oh wait NO GEARS cuz people want to lvl/plvl as fast as they can in the new maps!!! idk but my point is that getting alot of ppl together, even those close to or already warrior changed chars (like myself, lvl 97 atm) make parties and just kill everything in site in these maps. this would still give us a chance to get satis gear and then some, help lower prices for the next set coming in and be less stressful for us all and those under us.

sorry for the rant mixed in on this, i've had my share of not being able to buy/find any gear so sorry if i offended anyone and plz no hate, i just threw this idea out there trying to help fix the situation, as the title says, if u have another idea lets hear it.

sorry to make this look one sided only focused on fighter gears. i forgot to edit this from when i first posted in the fighter section cuz i was focused just on that but i'm also hearing that the other classes are having simular problems so i'd like to point out that this idea would also benefit everyone.

Good idea but...

Those maps don't drop good gears until you reach at least Heather Basin/Simpson Valley. And there, the hard hitters hit much harder than at templar. Also, the big difference with templar is that there are spell casters which will easily mob lock you and will also easily put lots of negative buffs on you (you need poison, curse and magic healing pots there :S).

You're actually asking to party to those maps. But I doubt many people would come, because for the reasons mentioned above, it makes the place really dangerous for healer and magician classes, especially because of the spell casting monsters. Why would a healer go for a grinding party, and eventually take the risk to die, when he can lvl faster and easier with a good tanker in east Eir maps :D ! He doesn't need good gears like us fighters to begin with... Unless he's bored, or just want to take a break from aoeing...

Finally, grinding is really not efficient if you want to get gears. Believe me, I've been grinding desert maps for more than one month, and only got a 6ap sword (very lucky ^^; ), but beside that, not a single 4ap and a couple of 2ap that I npced cause worthless. The best way to get gear is definitely aoe, but I've been discussing about that more than enough here (http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196329)...

However, I support your idea. Call me in game anytime, IGN is Yanane.
Get your negative buffs healing pots, HP buffs, SC pots and blazing pots ready.
Get a healer(Phybb ?), a sin (Origyn ^^), a mage, a complete party, and let's go for suicide aoe ^^ !
Oh, and last but not least, get some 7% pendants ready, because we are certainly going to die ;) !

Before complaining about how "not fun" it is to keep dying because you don't have this so-called right equipment, try to imagine what you would be doing if you DID have it. Chances are, the answer is you would be in harder maps to get better experience. Correct?

Games are fun because they are challenging, not because they are easy.

Unfortunately, not everyone sees eye-to-eye on this issue, so please try to understand that the real fun of your endeavor is the hunt for gears inofitself. From my own standpoint, I applaude you that you would even go out and hunt for these gears. Many people are far too lazy, and would rather wait until someone else finds them to buy them all up and prance around acting like they earned their keep (and while money does talk, talk is cheap.)

There has not been an ap6 event prize since mid-2008, due in part that so many people were playing the game around that time it was asinine to even give such quality items out at all. True enough, you could even say it was the "game veterans' " fault for flooding the market with so many ap6 that everyone came to be found desiring them, but that's neither here nor now. As far as being efficient with finding ap6 gears, the ONLY way to get them is killing monsters, and if you cannot use AoE, then grinding is the only other answer. If you can't find party members who would help you grind in these difficult maps, then make a self-sufficient class character (Archer or Templar) and hunt for them on your own.

Once more, it's really great that you are going out of your way to find these gears! It's unfortunate that so many are willing to take the "easy way out" and party/leech at higher levelled maps, but honestly, what makes those maps any safer? No ranged aggro? That just means they are lacking in the skills necessary to survive in the game. Take it from me, a player who has been around since before the days of 'full ap6 gears' characters that the game is far more rewarding if you put the effort into becoming powerful on your own terms, and not because you took the easier path.

(PS, Edine is a great place to start your Satisfaction ap6 hunt, shoes and gloves only, granted, but it's a start nonetheless!)

ok well i do see what ur saying and i'd agree that i'd be VERY tempted to go to the the new maps over doing that but i'd still would take some time out of the day to try and fix the problem. non the less i still respect what ur saying and ty for commenting ^.^

I'm in for some suicide aoe after i level(the game seems against me atm but not dropping below 75% is good enough for me to keep going) I have really good defence already, reset my build for alot more agi for dodge, just need a good cleric and time to farm for items for those darn incubators(or get lucky and get a defence accessory of equal or greater value)

Just 1 sollution and that is to go to Phil,Taq,Sher,Etc. and train there in any way if that will be Suicide AoE, AoE or just 1by1. It will just take time"! Then about buying those gears: I think there are some in circulation but at high prices which sux. The market in the whole game has become very unfair and esspecially with the new Mounts, Wings and Enhanced pets ppl who could get lots of sc got like 1000+ xens. But back to those 96+gears they will always be expensive untill ppl stop being greedy for exp(and i have to blame myself for also sometimes being greedy Q:Q like training from lvl 109 in amor)

I don't see why you would be greedy for aoeing amorica at lvl 109... I saw that video where you aoe while taking 50 damage per monster... That looked pretty fun and got me to think, if he does it why not me :D ?! In fact, I got my little party and I did some suicide aoe like that in desert map, grabbing like 15+ hard hitters and that was super fun ^^ !

Maybe gears are expensive because people paid lots of xen for it and probably want to resell it with a little profit. So prices are just gonna keep going up this way, especially because there's more and more people getting to third class, and the number of gears available still being the same, or not enough new gears getting in the market. That supply < demand thing again. Until they get lvl 96+ maps aoeable so supply can catch up with demand, I dont think prices are ever gonna go down.
I guess I'm just gonna start harrassing you guys on the forum, not for cleric aoe or unicorns, but for lvl 96+ aoeable maps :D !

What I would call greed is that :
I recently made a guide in which I tell how to easily get butter, cheese and salt. Those are so easy to get... And now I see lot of people farming more than a hundred of those and selling it for 100k-150k when it's actually worth no more than 30k :(
I know there's still a lot of kron from the hack, but that is really abused.
I did that guide hoping it would help the prices to go down, but it actually had the opposite effect. GREED just took over...

I saw in your profile that you were from Honor before Glory, that's why I picked those names :D. I know them well since I partied a lot of time with them. I also know them for being good players and perfect partymate for suicide aoe ;) (actually did it with Origyn all the way up to Turmeit)

If I was able to play, I would hit 96, turn assassin, and farm 6ap uni gears (and whatever other gears go with unification), because I wouldn't care if I died. =D!

It is extraordinarily hard to farm ap 6 gears in your own class. I tried for months without getting a single ap 6 gear. Granted, I don't and didn't play a lot, but normally I would pull 1 ap 6 gear a week.

Greed is a part of life. Supply and demand dictate market prices as things are only worth what people are willing to pay. For many, farming butter and such is not worth the time investment. They are able to make more money in the short time it would take them to farm it.

Being that I have been spending most of my time playing this game to farm the stuff I want, I can say that farming equipment for your own class is quite tedious. I am not that patient so I buy it by selling other stuff in demand in my shops. I feel for all the new 96+ ppl still looking for gear. Warrior ones are hard to come by and will cost you a mint. Plan on 10-40 xens per item if buying.
