I have been having some real bad dc problems lately I know it is not this game. My mom called my uncle to fix it and when he did he deleted the whole SoS form the computer. Meaning that untill I can get it down loaded on my own computer with internet of my own I wont be playing Sos or anyother game untill this dc problem resolves it self.
Now my uncle thinks that everything that is wrong with my moms computer is because of games like Sos he very old and dose not understand that the games I play are safe. So then he gose and deletes Sos because he could not find the real reason it was disconneting in the frist place. And now I have the game gone and its still disconneting like crazy:(
To sum this all up: the point is that my uncle came over blame the disconneting on (Secret of the Solstice) deleted it now I have to start all over again and I dont even have my own internet.
I have a question can you download this game on a junk drive

do you mean a jump (Flash) drive...with all of the updates the game has...I don't think a flash drive is adequate. Get an external hard drive (if it's affordable for you) [I'm using an old hard drive from another laptop that broke to install my games on]...make sure it has enough space to handle solstice and it's updates.
Yeah, your uncle is so computer/internet illiterate...why didn't your mom call in a real expert...is she too lazy to call in the phone/internet company people, so she calls uncle to look at the problem when he isn't a certified computer/internet technician?

dang, don't be so hard x_x
expert people cost alot of money just to look at stuff, y pay alot of money for something that some1 like your uncle could probably fix
example~
i'm not an expert in math, but i will always help some1 on the math hw if they needs it~

Have they made changes to the sos installer that let you install it anywhere other than the c drive? It's been awhile since I had to install the game, but last time I did you had no option other than the computer's main drive for installation.

I think my boyfriend has the installation file saved on his external harddrive...but not the game itself. [unless the installation file IS the game... no clue]
But blaming the computer's problems on Solstice is totally bogus. My family tried to tell me that's the reason my laptop is broken; but when I consulted real experts, they started laughing when I told them that. Especially if the computer you have is a desktop, because really, the only problem games like Solstice can cause is for it to overheat; but desktops don't overheat like laptops do.
How are you connected to the internet? Maybe it's your modem...thing. Every once in a while we have to disconnect & reconnect to our internet to make it run smoother. [no idea how that works rofl]
There should be plenty of computer forums and stuff that'll give you [better] advice for free! Google it. xD

I re-installed it yesterday on another drive (if you downloaded the most recent installer)...so yeah, you can install it elsewhere. I believe they did make changes to the installer so you can install it elsewhere.

LOL
I've been running SoS non stop on my computer for more than six months now, and I feel like my computer is working even better now :D.
On the computer running Stefia my alt account, which is running 24/24, 7/7, I even have 2 virtual machines (Vista and Ubuntu) running non-stop, just get some good fans to cool all that correctly...
So believe me SoS cannot do any harm to your computer ;)
