Black screen after login

today the game work!!! there are 2 updates for vista and after having installed them, the game worked!!!

mine doesnt. I have xp and still black screen after correct password :( what does that mean?

when i create a new character all i see is a white square where my character is supposed to go. I log in and can see my menus, HP and all that stuff but the rest is pitch black... does the game start in a room with no light? lol

No, but I dont think that it sounds like a graphic problem ( but who knows im just guessing :D!). I think you should try restart your computer.

If by updating the graphics worked for vista then it should be the same for the other versions of windows. But I dont know which one should we load.:confused:

i can teleport to other place
and in other computer in this same connection game is working

so I know the problem with Vista. Some versions aren't working because they aren't compatable. I have talked to Gm's cause i had this problem like forever ago when CB first came out. They said they were aware of the problem and that we would problably have to wait til the actual game releases with the solution. All you can do right now is wait or play on a different computer

I installed SoS in my computer Vista.. and the screen go black when i try to enter the world? do i need to download all the drivers in the site or just one that is compatible to vista?

I don't know about the XP thing i play on my XP and it runs fine so it's some issue i am unaware of.

For Vista refer back to my above post. If your having a problem stop complaining because there isn't a definite solution for everyone yet you have to wait.

Go to the carpet of solstice (not launcher, solstice), and here u'll find a file name : SOSsetup, i used it, for change the resolution, and put it n full screen. Worked for me, hope can help someones (u can also change the resolution to 800*600/,1024/768.... 16/32 bits...) try it

The graphic issue you are experiencing is with your graphic drivers. In order to play Secret of the Solstice you must have the latest version of Open GL drivers. i got latest drivers for my comp (i use xp) and it says in the driver that it includes latest openGL but when i start the game it works fine until i log in to the game all works fine with the game expect that background is all black i can see effect and snow on the ground and all that stuff only thing that is black is the ground and the trees ._. so i really wonder whats up with that i can play RO just fine and all else games but im wondring why this game does that >_<

I had the problem where the screen stayed black after you started and i fixed it on my computer. (vista user)

you need to know what graphic controller you have...(you will have to find that yourself)
i have Mobile Intel® 82945GM graphics controllers (Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset Family)...
