I am very interested in making a scout and have done alot of reading, talked with a very good archer friend of mine, and watched him kill for a number of levels while i have been using my aco to keep him buffed. I have a few questions, a theory or two, then i'll give my planned build and the reasons for it you the people can criticize me for it or say interesting or whatever.
It has been proven that men increases spamming speed in increments of 8, and it is more or less guessed that agi increases spamming speed in increments of 24. Is this right so far? and how high do you think the spamming speed can go for the Archer class with it's short animation? With each complete set of 8 men or 24 agi, or a compatible mix of the 2 such as 4 men 12 agi for a full skill speed increase.
I have heard that 32 men is the max, while at the same time i heard a rumor that 40 can also give you another boost in your spamming speed. Anyone try that out recently or only have old tests to go by?
If spam speed level can be figured with men and agi using the info above, and the most common build is 32 men 24 agi, then the spam speed would be lvl 6(32/8 + 24/24 = 5 + the original spam speed of 1) I have another archer friend who recently did a stat reset and, after obtaining 120 agi(which would equal the common spam speed build) he decided to add 8 men to see if it could increase and, wouldn't you know it did so he was able to spam wind blow even faster than before, giving him a spam speed of lvl 7, faster than the average archer and with a heck of alot of dodge as well(no pow in this build either but he still manages to hit hard)
He plans to keep adding to agi now, to increase his attack, dodge, and skill crits a little bit more and hoping for another increase in his spamming speed if it's even possible at this point.
I want to be unique, attempt my own build maximizing the skill speed as soon as possible but not going all men for it. My current goal is to cap my pow at 60, adding to pow every level and adding all extra ponts to men til i have exactly 40 for a potential skill speed of 6. After getting pow to 60 agi will take it's place til it reaches 47(increasing skill speed to just below the potential skill speed lvl 8. and when men gets to 40 that means i'll be pumping agi all the way til my goal is reached. The reason for 47 agi is because i'm taking into consideration the class accessories. Payshan 2 agi, Jewel of Accuracy 2 agi 1 pow, and Earths jewel? 3 agi 2 pow for a total of 7 agi giving me 56 in all. I mapped out the points of agi and there effects thanks to my archer friend when he reset, and found a pattern that puts 56 agi at maximizing it's potential with an extra crit.
To sum of my planned build for those not wanting to read all that or not understand it all.
60 Pow(temporary), 40 men, 47 agi, then back to full power
In theory it would be a hard hitting critastic quickdraw wondershot dodging Ranger with all the crits, the fast spamming, the extra dodge of 30? and hitting hard enough to keep up with other rangers.
I expect people to say you are wasting your time and your points, but thank you for reading far enough to see what kind of build i have planned for myself and make your own recomendations based on your own experiences while playing an archer/ranger, or from your own readings and discussions and watching archers/rangers in action.
