Heya, I thought it'd be neat for people to show and tell their KQ mishaps and successes.
I'd show some screenies of this one, but I forgot to take some.
Anyway, King Slime KQ. I slide in, round up a party, and notice something odd: THERE'S ONLY ONE CLERIC. The rest was a pretty good balance of Mages, Archers and Fighters, but with only one guy on the healing job, it got pretty hectic.
By the time we were at the second level, there were about 9 guys. We fought those gold and prince slimes and warrior boars as separately as we could, but it just wasn't going well.
When we reached the King Slime, there were seven of us. I remember it clearly. Two fighters, two archers, two mages (one of which was me), and the one cleric. So, the two fighters rock-paper-scissored for the tanking job. As a mage, I stayed back, let them take the blows while charging magic as fast as I possibly could. Let me tell you, we were doing pretty good for a team of seven. The archers and mages were able to wipe out the first and second set of reinforcements.
Uh, I can't remember too clearly from this point. Either our cleric got attacked by a Fire Slime and ran out of SP to heal himself, or while he was being attacked, the fighters needed a Heal and he couldn't give it to them. Whatever the case was, it ended with the cleric dying and probably one fighter dying.
King Slime went crazy. Without a proper tank, we were forced to do a run-around strategy, where one archer / mage is desperately running around in circles while the other archer and mages blast the heck out of it. And with only three guys attacking, it was pretty slow. I can't remember what happened when the Queen Slime and the Prince Slimes came out. I was blasting the heck out of the king and didn't bother looking. I think they trampled a fighter and was left standing around.
In any case, we managed to wipe out the King Slime. Unfortunately, the Queen and at least another Prince was still active. I didn't realize this, and got smacked in the back of the head by the Queen. And having lost two lives running from the King Slime, I was out of there.
Good times, good times. I'm curious if the remaining people managed to win, but I'm pretty sure what happened after that.
