I've been seeing alot of the same post about KQ over and over again...so I'll make a little helpfull guide for those who need it. First off these types of quests are completely different from what some of you might be used to. These quests are done with a party and a party is recommended. When it is started, your group is transported to a private map where you must complete the objective assigned. Please be aware that there IS A TIME LIMIT. Also these quests involve you FIGHTING A BOSS MONSTER at the end. When the quest is finished the players will receive a “Present Box” with something inside. Usually it will be an enhanced weapon and another item. Some say that rares come from these but i have yet to see proof, also if your lucky a pet can drop in a KQ I have witnessed this many times and even had it jacked >_> *******s. BUT anyways.
Here are some of the KQ's and Level Requirements | King Slime's Counterattack: 5 - 16 | Mara Pirates Rage : 17 - 25 | Gold Hill Adventure : 20 - 32 | Millenium Robo Plot : 33-45 | Giant Honeying : 40-50 | Lost Mini Dragon : 46 - 60
Tips On Getting Into KQ's : I have heard two ways of helping get into KQ's one is to go to a non-populated area and camp in your shroom till than exiting a few seconds before KQ timer hits time required and supposedly that works
The other way, the way I use which seems to work better, Is to go to said non-populated area, wait 1-2minutes before KQ starts (depending on how long it takes you to relog) and Log Out Than Back Into your character with the right timing you'll have logged in seconds before the KQ and have the least amount of lag generated for your comp.
Some hints for some KQ's I've Run : King Slime Easy kill all mobs each level till you reach the King Slime, before engaging him make sure your party knows WHO is the main tank and if you have two spare fighters those should take aggro from his spawns, If possible also provide a Vit scrolls and Defense to Main Tank, now its easy 2 clerics heal the main and lower level ones heal off tanks dps you will focus on King Slime and Drop any mobs that spawn, easy right?
Mara KQ : This is even easier than King Slime if you ask me, you only kill the mobs needed to make way towards the main ship, don't waste time trying to clear every mob, when you reach the first boat clear the right side and have your party camp their, than have your main tank at bottom of steps ready to pull aggro when you designate a archer or mage to pull the non clone mara and marlone which are Real Mara - Blue Symbol on her hat in npc portait Real Marlone - Has Horns on his npc portrait pull tank grabs pew pew to death
Gold Hill- Well easy yet hard. time is of the essence you have a few players dps down mobs and a few mine make your way around the hill going to the left seems to be the luckiest direction, you do NOT need to open the gate as soon as you get the key take time to rest if you have time to spare all the times are pre-set and opening the gate early will not give you bonus time NOT even on the boss.(This is the KQ where i found most of my pets also)
Robo -Yep robo this one is fun... you kill mobs till they mass spawn than run around like chickens with their head cut off hopeing to out live the timer...easy if clerics stay in middle and the rest run LARGE circles outside away from them, I hate idiots who track mobs through the middle it not only kills your rez'ers it also shortcuts the mobs to other people.
Honeying KQ - "Exactly like Slime, except the mobs are a WHOLE lot thicker (and harder)wicked hard, farthest I've ever gotten was halfway through the second floor in 30 minutes, mages are a must....WAY too many bugs...." Quoted From Sexy Alph
Mini Dragon - Kinda Similar to King Slime so same tatics but he has an aoe fire breath. or i think he did.. idk.. it just burnt really bad and i saw alot of people die first time i did it.. but fairly easy if your not with a buncha slackers
CAUTION : YOU MAY GET EMPTY CHESTS, HAVE BEEN REPORTS OF UP TO TEN PLUS EMPTY CHESTS FROM KQ'S GM'S HAVE SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THIS BUT IT HAS'NT SHOWN SO IF YOU GET AN EMPTY CHEST YOU'VE EITHER BEEN JIPPED OR RECIEVED FAME, SO BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN CHECK IF YOUR FAME HAS INCREASED
