Are you 1 of the 72% of male gamers that would give up on a chance of dating or socializing of any kind just to play a game on the night of it's release? Yes or no. If you don't believe the 72% thing, look it up... Also, if the poll thing doesn't work, sorry, I have no clue how forums work, I'm new at forums...

Then you better hope there aren't several new game releases coming up. ;)
'Cause having watched the activities of my fellow males for many a year, my only doubt about that 72% statistic is that it might be a bit low. :D

Interesting poll, but why does it have to be one or the other? Surely there are girls out there just as into gaming as guys...
why not make a date out of the game release if its something you're really interested in?

Real life comes before gaming any day.

I would only give it up if it was something I didn't want to do or if it involved being with someone who annoys the crap out of me.
Otherwise. Hell no.

I only socialize if I absolutely have to, so my answer would definitely be yes.

I'd definitely give up on a date for a game.
Screw hormones, I wanna pwn people I don't know!
Or maybe people I do know!
I suppose it depends on the game.

It would depend...on how much I anticipated the game's release, and on how much I disliked the place I would go to socialize/people that frequent the area
...btw...does playing the game with my gf count as socializing?

If you had said dating, I would've said yes, but you said socializing, too, so no. I don't intend on dating anyone at my age....>.>

What would such a statement imply, might I ask? Please elaborate.

When I was still at school, I was highly introverted, and would thus undoubtedly pick a game over socializing any day.
But, being highly introverted (and a stereotypical "nerd"), it's not like the girls were throwing themselves at me, so a date would be a rather rare event. Hence, for my situation back in the day:
date > new game release > socializing

I think we all know it depends on what game it is. :P Yes, i was one of those people that standed outside of Best Buy waiting to get Halo 3.
