Hello everyone. I'm Kaede, and I decided to post a monster list for those playing or for those just starting. It basically lists the monsters you will encounter in your quest to rid the world of the darkness that plagues it. I will try to make this as accurate as possible and if there is an error, please, let me know. It's still in the making, so I intend to update the list whenever I can. Also, I will update this list as I play the game, for as of right now, I'm just a level 28 Acolyte. So, for those requesting for data on other monsters, I would need assistance in that matter.
As I just stated, I do need assistance to gather data. If anyone is interested in helping, please tell me in the "Would it be wrong to create a beastiary?" forum I created. I believe I should list the monsters in a separate thread, so I don't separate the beasts of Solstice.

Well, I'll start with with what to expect from the list.
Name - The name of the Monster
Hit Points - How much life they have
Locations - Where they can be found
Description - A decription of what the monster looks like (to me)
Hostility - The tendency of attacking a character out of the blue
Item Drops - Items that may be of some importance to your journey
Notes - Extra Comments I may need to address
To explain the item drops, the data is based on the items the monster will drop that you may use to fulfill a quest in the game. I can't list all the drops that a monster may produce for a few reasons:
-All monsters drop kron (based on the difficulty of the monster I suppose)
-All monsters drop potions, trackers, fruit of some kind, scrolls, etc.
-Items vary (like when a monster drops a weapon of some kind, it could be a weapon from any class, and could have a +1 attached to it)
So, to help those looking for a particular item for a quest, I decided to list the items that you'd use to do so.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f270/Kamui_Makoto/Secret%20of%20the%20Solstice/Poyopoyo.jpg

Locations - Brynhilld Trisects
Description - A pink pig that has the traits of a dog.
Hostility -Their pretty docile, but very rarely, they will attack.
Item Drops - None
Notes - A pink pig that people can either raise or beat up. Either way is fine. However, if you travel upon such areas like the Trakian Path in Essene or traveling in the Augilias Gorge in Brynhilld, the Huge Poyopoyo may spawn some "offspring" to provide support. The offspring are more fierce compared to their brethren in the Trisects.

Notes - Nothing special. It's just jelly...that seems to be "high" for some reason. Maybe it's because you can find a few of them in many areas in the beginning, or maybe it's because of their high reproduction rate...or something...
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f270/Kamui_Makoto/Secret%20of%20the%20Solstice/Makuri.jpg
Name - Makuri

Don't pink slimes drop cherries? Maybe that's why they are pink.
How are we to determine HPs? I can watch to see how much damage I do before something dies but still...
Also, when counting drops, consider kron - an average would be nice (i.e. 20-40 kron)

thats a pretty nice list there:)

well the hps may be determaned by hitting the monster with different attacks and just counting how much u do to it and when it dies. then kill one or 2 more to lower the definative hp till u get a near accurate hp count. also kron seems to get higher depending on the monsters level. cherrys drop from at least 3-4 monsters that i have fought so far. long branches and such are the same way. things like the pendants i was getting 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4 from the pocupocu's so i think the items stil seem to be pretty random amongst the monsters. and nice list so far kaede ^^ dont forget robin fly, parrerabbi, theres also some dancin flowers north of essence i havent gotten into my list for maps and beast locations yet *which can be found in kaede's is it wrong to create a beastiary? topic ^^

Well, I'm going to work with the current set of monsters, and find out a few things. Since I'm in no hurry to progress in the game, I have plenty of time to collect data. Of course, that will happen when my computer likes to function. Also, like most researchers in the world, I do need funds to complete my search. Buying all those scrolls and items can be quite expensive.
In regards to Monster HP, it's quite a task. AdrianOX, who helped me in the first four, weakened the monsters to about 1 to 3 bars, and I literally, chased the monster around and whacked it myself. Being an acolyte, I don't do much damage, usually just a point or two of damage. I did this to a few monsters, and got accurate readings.
I will need some definite data I can exploit in order to list item drops. I need to know if level, class, or attacks will actually play a role in drops. Every monster will drop trackers, scrolls, fruit, kron, and potions regardless of what it is. If I can't find a sufficient formula, then the item drops may very well just include items such as the jureah pieces, Guard Reports, Long Branches, and other such items for completing quests.

Wow, Thats nice I support you on your collection of data. If you need any help message me in game... I am only lvl 38 Rogue names SenkojI I will help you out as much as I can. Also dont forget that theres Essene also... but the east and south paths are dead ends right now until those maps open up.

Thank you for the support. I gathered as much information as I could, and now I can continue with the list. I'm also covering the list with each monster I encountered as I progressed through my journey.

I would imagine on the HP issue for monsters you could just put an approximated hit point value.
Like say.. "~120", or something.
SenkoJi
11-01-2007, 07:26 AM
Its pretty hard to get exact numbers without hitting a solid number of dmg. like 1. but that would take forever. Lower leveled monsters would be easy to get exact numbers, but once you get to things like stuff in the mine just get rounded #'s
Kaede12
11-01-2007, 07:42 AM
I'm thinking of doing so for the stronger beasts. Some could have much to around 1000 hp for all I know. Whenever I do have the time, I believe I will find approximate amounts. I updated the location list on the other monsters, so I'll post the next batch of beasts.

If only there was some sort of spell to "scan" a monster's HP value.. :P

I'm going to post a few Items Drops for a few monsters. Again, I will list items that may help you finish a quest, (They'll be a few exceptions. Fairy stones can drop from every monster I've encountered, thus, their's no real need to post it.)

That would be great! I do ask a few things though: I ask that the screenshots need to be as close as possible during gameplay, I need to know the name of the monster, and please try to keep the name and the life bar off the enemy.
