Toonami was removed, i forget the reason why. We will never see a Tsunami of toons that awesome ever again.

It was removed because people stopped watching.

In short, CN started playing less anime -which is what Toonami was about, originaly- and more of their own "original" shows, which peop quickly grew tired of. In the end, all Toonami was was an episode of Ben 10 and Naruto, plus some random crappy movie...then thy took out Naruto and ratings sank to 0, so they removed it.

AS is heading the same way as well...it used to e all about anime with wording that wasn't allowed in normal roadcast days and more blood than could be shown while the kiddies were awake...now it's a bunch of crap shows about.....wait...what the heck is Super Prison and Squidbillies about, exactly? They have 1 good night of anime for AS (Saturday...Bleach, Full Metal and Code Geass -why Star Wars the Clone Wars is in there, when it has no bad language or lood is eyond me...which are a far cry for the heyday of InuYasha, DB(original/Z/GT), Gundams, etc) then pretty much crap. And due to this, AS has lost a lot of viewers.

Oh gawd, Toonami. That brings back flashbacks of Gundam, Outlaw Star, Yu Yu Hakasho, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo...and of course Tom. I'm not even that big of a fan of anime, but the shows they picked to show really caught my eye.

Yeah...that was when I first watched anime as well (DBZ and Gundam Wing)...it's so sad they trashed it like they did (I loved Outlaw Star and Yu-Yu Hakusho as well....those were hilarious).

I wish I knew why they stopped showing the good shows...and why they got rid of the old Tom...and Tom2...and Tom3 who was not as good as Tom or Tom2 (Tom4 -the thing with the humanoid face on..whatever planet it was- sucked..what the heck was that thing supposed o b, anmyways?)

btw: remember The Midnight Run? The precursor to what is now AS? I miss that as well...AS is...disappointing

I kinda felt the one after .hack//sign sucked (I liked //sign, really)...th one with the brother and sister in cutesy Kite and Black Rose characters just...never really impressed me

Indeed.. I too miss Toonami. I always looked forward to many of those 'toons', and now it's all gone..? What is wrong with the world??!!

By the way, Star Wars: the Clone Wars is awesome, if I do say so myself. Ahh, I still wish they had not messed up Toonami, though...

I miss Toonami as well :/ it got me into anime in the first place. All started with Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing and Dragonball Z. The good old days of Cartoon Network. and yeah Toonami Rising Sun XD I enjoyed that too. But yeah last I saw Toonami on it was some cruddy modern cartoon, Naruto then a cruddy movie. I stopped watching it during that time unfortunately.

That's when everyone left stopped watching it...The little boradcast staion on the red planet was shut down and the sip left laving the fail Tom and his bot-buds with him on that rock...a bad ending for a once great anime show

Ah days gone by T_T

CN sucks now or it did a year ago when i last watched tv.

They never showed Naruto on toonami. Last shows they showed was Rurouni kenshin and Yuyu hakusho. Then they replaced it with that weird underwater crap where the only good show was code lyoko. Then they just got rid of it and does anyone remember saturdays? They had lotsa good shows like Zoids Fuzors duel masters and others. I miss the good ol days. Oh for a time machine. Now i feel old T_T

Toonami moved to Saturday nights instead of weekdays (for a reason I have yet to discern)...or at least they called it Toonami...it was already decaying by that tim thanks to CN's decision to begin supplementing it with their own stuff instead of anime.

But it did show Naruto...it was the final anime show on Toonami before it was cancelled altogether

Lol.. I used to watch the same animes as you did. (on topic) I looked forward to Saturdays, to watch what usually came on Toonami. Now, that CN has dropped it, I find no reason to watch CN. (just my lil rant :D )

(off topic) Anyone remember, Cyborg 009? ^^

yeah that was the true toonami then cn killed it with their tv originals i mean they coulda gotten more anime instead of showing reruns of the same shows over and over and over and over implement infinite loop

As with many things...it held so much promise...then it was ruined because someone realized they could make more money by making changes...then more changes...then more changes until they had a piece of crap with the same name that generated more money -primarily because it has the name of something which started out good.

Toonami was like best like 2 hours it was?, idk, but it was like the best time of day, with the rly weird alein dude with the cool voice, the anime, and the rly cool elctro hip hop stuff they played during the comercials

but then they messed with the dudes face, changed the animes being played, and eventualy just it was movies with a suckish cartoony robot guy =/

but the original toonami was the best, and it kinda like killed a part of me when it finaly got cancelled =/ but then i had an idea... if they acualy made a channel just for toonami, and have it on all day and have like all the old original stuff like the guy and te animes

only part with that is most of the ones that were there got cancelled and now only play reruns on aldult swim at like 2 in the morning e.g. Inuyasha ( wait did they have inuyasha on toonami? .-. ) so anyways yea toonami was like the one time my parents could keep me quiet for 2 hours :D
