I was just wondering what people thought a good response would
be to this phrase, which many fighters use to mages and archers.

The phrase is "Why you gotta run?"

My answer to this is. "Why you gotta deva and face roll D:?"

running indicates "don't wanna mess with you because your a lamer"... what a noob. Then have him follow you to a room with like 20 of your friends sitting and waiting for him.

then he will start running and have all 20 of your friends chase him and all 20 spam the same thing that he said to you, "why you gotta run?".

Many threads about this in the PvP section actually, but it's very simple.

Telling an Archer not to Kite, is like telling a Cleric not to Heal. A Mage not to Fear or Stifle, or a Fighter not to use one of, 10+ instant cast hard hitting melee moves. Each job has a strategy, to try and deny someone their rightful class based instincts, just because you CANNOT KILL THEM OTHERWISE. Doesn't make THEM a noob;

It makes YOU one.

In conclusion, never, ever. Complain about another classes PvP primal instincts, it's just freaking annoying.

Yeah, I don't pvp but the one time I did, I got accused of all sorts of things because I was running and was told not to run. Like duh, I have low defense for a reason... cuz I gotta avoid being hit. xD

Yea, cause standing around watching pixel-numbers fly around requires skill...I have nothing against most players but you have to admit...Fear is such a pointless skill, you can't even touch the mage so you might as well just sit there and die. Deva is a pointless skill because it's almost garunteed stun, you might as well just sit there because a fighter is going to keep chasing you and tanking your skills. Clerics just heal themselves and have trouble killing anyone else.

Sorry to say, but this is the result of a money-based PvP experience. The PvP is extremely unbalanced and it causes alot of drama over who is holding a fair fight.

At some point you just realize, there's no point, archers are going to run and kite you, mages are going to fear and DD you, clerics are going to heal and tickle you...screw it, PvP is pointless.

Have you ever been two seconds from dying from a fighter stun, then CC'd fear and saved your sorry hind end? o-o Yea, it's not that pointless..we can't win against clerics because *ahem* they spam heal and most have rather good Mdef. If we don't do something to stop you from spamming heal ...well, we aren't going to get anywhere. Archers DOT the crap out of us, so we have to fear them too. Otherwise we'll kite each other all over the place and the archer will win. Fear is basically one of our only defense moves...

ok if a fighter stuns you its NOT auto they win you can come back and own them if your a mage trust me my friend does it all the time and hes a lower lvl then me lol and clerec pfft i have a lvl 25 clerec ( still is XD clerecs suck to lvl) and killed a lvl 32 fighter with a +9 axe ? how you ask well thast my little secret ;) just gotta be able to read a person and thier stratagy ill give you that much info and archers yea theri gonan run why they have almost no def like mages so yea theri gonna run theri asses off cuase ITS THEIR JOB fighters stun mages fear clercs heal archers kite all ther is to it its about stragy not stun power hit spam spam spam no you use the right skills at the right time you cna win heres anohter example ima lvl 61 fighter now and use a 1 hand sword and sheild ( just like link in LOZ ^,..,^) and i beat a lvl 70 clerec how lol easy dont be an idiot and underestimate your openets thats why mages lvl 70 think they can beat me then i kill them and they wonder how =/ its not spam skilling its stratagy like any other games

(I got chars of all 4 classes but I'm speaking as a mage here because he's my main and I love mages :D)

Fear is perhaps one of the most useful skills mages have. ever.

Like WolfAngel rightly said - it can be a life-saver (for a mage) and a life-taker (for most fighters, archers, and sometimes clerics too). :D

Oh and regarding Deva... I don't know about you but my mage has managed to survive many-a-deva. Thanks to my smexy dexy gear :D Half the time Deva misses, and when it lands, the 'face-rolling-on-keyboard' skill spams miss. :D

Do it sometime! If you chain it, chances are atleast on one of the runs he's gonna go smack into a mob :D

Only thing that pisses me is "out of range" bug when i stun somebody, he/she continue running, and when he/she stops i cant skill spam (so basically its same as not working stun). ._."

I wasn't saying fighters shouldn't have devastate or that any class is superior. I was just stating that some fighters get mad when archers run, which is one of their main forms of attack. Thanks for posts guys, some were quite funny. :P
