Is the Ranger Hide skill like invisibility, as to where your name tag disappears and you can't be targeted (Unlike maybe in a party)? Because after I saw the metamorphosis skill, we have to beat it... Even if the bird has blinding neon blue and green feathers, they can fly...and that's too cool. >.<

Does hide match up? ._.

I dont really Like "hide" cause it cancel as soon as u do anything >.>
But ... well we are Archer,we dont get cool skills like mage or fighter

it does NOT cancel when you move, i've seen it in action , it only cancels when you attack and lasts for 4 mins with a 1 min cool, so you could pretty much stay on hide forever.

If the archer was selected prior to using Hide, would the selected char screen disappear or still remain seen? If archer is in FBZ or abyss, would tab select the hidden archer? Anyone try this yet?

I was there when GreenBean turned Ranger. She showed me all the lvl100 skills. Hide, cancels once you attack. As in for now..there no duration time on the Hide. I guess you can stay on hide as long as an SS finds you or if you get hit by an AOE attack or if you attack on hide mode. Also you cant Target a Ranger when he or she is on hide. As for SharpShooter and Ranger.. I think all the lvl100 Skill damage are bugged.. there making less damage for some reason..

What about mobs detection? As in, would mobs detect archers' presence in hide mode and attack?

why would you be stupid enough to talk in a pvp match anyway? >.>

how i see it rangers will be the most annoying class to face in pvp, they probably be able to kill mages, Fighter dashes at you, entngle him and run the other way, wizard summons skeletons hide and get the hell out of there.

Party dies in a mob? Hide and get out LOL, need the boss kill hide and wait at the boss place wait for someone tog et it down to low health and ks x3

how does the flying thing work??? can you fly anywhere? (I know there is a certain height) or do you have to follow the map still? example: in uruga can you fly over the bank keeper and leave the town, land and fight orcs or do you need to fly the path of the stairs, go down and kill orcs?

:3 sounds fun to me...and the only way people can uncover us is with an AoE, which that wont be hard to do...but I still think hide will be kick booty

Um...the only way to hit a Ranger in Hide mode with an AOE would be by accident.

Erm, maybe SS have special eyesight to see those in hide mode.. well they have to lock on somehow or detect will be useless. unless someone goes : 'I think someone's hiding there!' then the SS spam click that area with the detect skill.

The radius of detect isn't that large. It about the same radius as all archer AOE skills. The point of the skill would be to catch a Ranger as he tries to get away. Having the ability to see a Ranger while in Hide is pointless. You wouldn't need Detect because you could just place you AOE attacks over said Ranger.

dipper, and yeah, that is true but one would think that you wouldnt be too inclined to use it when your getting your face hammered in with an attack. And if you did it before hand all you would have to do is get someone else to kill you, even then if you died by the person or party who set dipper on you once you come back just hide again

What if the Rangers are already among us? Hiding in Elderine, watching us...

What if the GM's were using test-rangers in this fashion before they were released? You come back from the MD KQ and nobody knows that Silkypico's alt Ranger is dancing in your face in hide mode before anyone even knows Rangers exist o.o

Actually, just before the cap raise, while I was killing some King Mushrooms on the Uruga field, others and some Orcs in the area were just randomly dying.

Seriously, they start hopping in a direction, then dead.

I was like, "Is there an invisible skill?"

So...possibly debugging a glitch where Hide didn't reveal the attacker. This was just before a maintenance, too, so it probably was a GM.

Also, someone on Teva used the Invisible suit and the slime mask to create a floating slime. It'd be funny to have a ranger Hide then come back as a flying slime.

...okay, I think it would be.

What would also be funny is to hide in Elderine, and start shouting "1g to whomever finds me!" while keeping yourself in Hide.

if hide did cancel dipper there would be no way sharp shooters would be able to find us. Even if it didnt go away in a battle zone its gonna be hard to find that person because you cant open your map...o.o

If you guy's haven't seen. Go to General Discussion and there is a link to a youtube video of GreenBean(first 105 archer) doing skills. Hide is used and she's standing right next to a monster, not aggroed.

One question I didnt see asked...

this Hide mode...

has any1 tested if it cancels the skill thats about to be casted on you?

For example...
A fightrs is about to cast deva. Shes at 180degrees of her 360degree turn. then hide is used...Will that Deva be canceled or will it be like the clerics heal?(the light shines after you die..)

From my experience today in FBZ it seems that if they have already started it, we are s.o.l. T____T
I think best bet is to bind them, run a little far ahead, then hide D:<
I choose ranger because I really wasn't impressed with the sharpshooter skills of the other archer on Teva. Not too impressed with the ranger ones either. =/ Entrap does not do very much dmg at all. I was really looking forward to that. Oh well. Hope I answered your question anyway ^^

Blinding shot doesn't last long at all unfortunately. That's one of the reasons that I went Ranger instead. Slow shot doesn't do much either I'm afraid =/ Sorry to disappoint yet again T_T
