yeah as the title says ..

this happened a few hours ago.. to me :eek:

I was having dinner with my family.. and my siblings and I went into a discussion about the latest news.. ain't gonna say what news.. since we talk about many stuff.. but something my brother said had me thinking..

yeah well, i was already stressed at work, with all this swine flu spreading around the world in less than 1 month.. so my brother's comment set me thinking deeply about stuff..

Dinner consist of a whole chicken.. and i chose a piece of juicy drumstick, and was gnawing at the chicken drumstick bone after dinner..

I was thinking pretty deeply about our discussion, therefore i was going around on pre-programmed mode.. clearing table.. boiling coffee.. washing dishes etc..

I had already finished gnawing at the drumstick and was washing some piece of cutlery when my sister asked me quietly from the side..
"erm.. lookie, what are you doing ?"

its pretty obvious i am washing dishes right.. so i answered..
"i'm washing my spoon.."

She prodded me..
"Are You SURE ?"

i answered.. albeit a bit annoyed at her asking me the obvious..
"What does it look like.. ?"

She pointed at my hands.. and it took a moment for me to realise..

yeah, well.. how do you guys eat crabs and lobsters ?
1) crack it open with a tool ?
2) crack the shell with your teeth ?

WELL, i have strong teeth, so i normally and always use option no.2. Is not an exception today either.

But one particular lobster died with ever lasting regrets i came to conclude now.. As i was cracking open its pincer shell with my teeth and sucking the juicy inner flesh..

Well.. since i am sucking the flesh.. i don't really crack the shell completely all the way.. a small crack or a small hole will do..

in the middle of this precise operation, 1 of my fingers squeezing the shell slipped due to the oily surface.. and the left side of the shell came up to meet the right side of the shell when the pressure on them loosens..

the result ?

the crack closed up.. not completely tho.. there's an obstacle in its path.. heh, one might feel glad about it.. but not me.. reason being simple..

well, when i was in the army, my codename is Ghost. well, its given to me by my section mates, stealth is my specialty. there was an occasion when my whole section was manning the platoon command post in a forest somewhere out there in the middle of nowhere.

I went on a recce mission with my buddy, his nick is King-Kong.. cus he seriously look like one.. ( visualise arnold in terminator 2 ). We went to take a look at the western area of the deployment area..

Another pair of our section mates, Squirrel and MotherCow ( dun ask me why their nicks are this, long story ), went exploring the East area of the camp.. another 2 pairs went to North and south respectively.. 3 were left at the command post.

30 minutes later, command post got a transmission on the radio from the the SM recce team.. which is actually Squirrel and mothercow.. They say they saw some ghost at the east area of the deployment area.

Command Post radio my team and told us to stick to our area.. and not to mess around. Well, king-kong was swinging from a tree-branch when the call came in.. soo.. it made me wonder how the command post dudes know we were playin a fool -.-

well.. we acknowledge the order.. and sheepishly continued our mission and reported back to command in 4 hours.

Well I can do both, though depends on the condition of my finger nail. If I just paint it, yeah tool. Else visual mermaid movie. :D

For me when stress gets to me, I will first feel it in the tightness in my shoulder than lower back will start to hurt. If I don't walk away, or start releasing the stress, I will start feeling my head hurt. Finally I will explode and start yelling at people may be for the small things they are not doing right.

haha, in army, its all about the brotherhood. we dun call each other by their first names, middle nor last names. we have nick names for each other, and when everyone feels the nick name really suited one, it becomes their codename. My platoon is well, i can say 1 of the most interesting since the last decade, one of my sergeant major commented.

oh yeah lols, i spoke with a lady aquaintance today. She noticed i looked stressed and commented on it. She told me that she drinks water whenever she felt frustrated, irritated, confused, etc. She pointed out that its not only a good way to destress, it is also a healthy way..

With regards to physical theory and laws of probability, there is no such thing as 100% safe. Everything will have a margin for failure, thats the reason the term is coined, safety margin. Newbies to the world of engineering disregard that, as they learnt only about safety margin theoretically, albeit basic practical skills they possess, they're practically useless on the job.

Don't try to dissuade me on the topic of fresh graduates, as i have meet my share of more than a thousand useless new engineers who only know how to talk, but when you put them to the job.. epic fail.. so.. all those young'uns out there.. don't act smart, and blow a load of crap, unless you know exactly what you are talking about with sufficient experience to back it up..

and Erick, the way you word your sentences leads me to assume that you must be some successful inventor, a president of a country/corporation, or a smart-*** kid. oh yeah..the fact that my hometown is a really unfriendly place hits me in the head again.. i was on a train going to meet a friend at a place one stop before the train interchange.. and a call came in on my mobile phone.. well, my mobile has a ringtone melody which is a japanese song..

Immediately, the groups of middle aged to old aged people stared at me as if they are looking at a traitor.. my my.. are they still remembering the war ?

5 minutes later.. a message came in on my phone.. i laugh out loud since its a funny message from a buddy.. the stares came again.. why.. is it a crime to laugh ?

i returned the stares with my evil eye.. and the carriage went very.. very.. quiet.. and everyone stood up.. and left the carriage slowly..

for a moment.. i was kinda shocked with the power of my evil eye.. but a few seconds later.. i realised that.. i have missed my stop..

I had this very young neighbor girl (15 years old) hit on me and I am old enough to be her father. She flirted with me on several occasions but this last time she came out and directly told me she wanted to do it with me. I told her I wasn’t worried about going to jail because if her father found out he would kill me first.

She assured me she wouldn’t tell anyone including her father and she wasn’t taking no for an answer. Finally after realizing she wasn’t going to back down and take a “No” for an answer I was very concerned and tried to figure a polite way out of it without offending her because I’m not into younger girls.

I then asked her to reassure me that she would never tell her father because he would kill me, and when she said she swore on her life she wouldn’t tell her father I said..

“that’s great because your father and I are having a secret gay relationship and I really know him well and even though we take turns being the girl I know he would still kill me if he caught me cheating on him with his own daughter”

She looked horrified and said “No way” and then she immediately got disgusted and ran off. I wasn’t sure if she was going to make it home before she threw up but I did know she was gone, and thank God she was.

lols.. 16 year old is good memories.. it was pretty conservative back then when i was in high school.. couples involved in BGR dun even dare to hold hands after school when visiting malls..

i had a girlfriend in high school.. everyday after school.. we would meet each other awkwardly at the school's study shed.. and proceed awkwardly out of the school gate and move slowly and awkwardly to the bus stop..

awkward is the word -_-
my high school has a student population of 1200, and the ratio of girls to guys is 10 to 1.. my class for example.. 27 students, 22 girls 5 guys -_-

so getting a girlfriend isn't really that much of a big deal to a guy, although it makes you look good.. but getting a girlfriend out of so many girls.. the girls realised that this girlfriend must be so special that she is chosen by a guy from the school.. err.. i actually found this out a couple years back when i attended a class reunion -_-

the ladies there told me that it is a really special thing for a girl to get hitched to a guy from the same school.. i understand the logic, but its too long to explain..

anyway, thats not the point.. the point is.. it was a conservative society.. just bringing a girl to a mall.. you can find a horde of her girl friends stalking us.. if we so much as hold hands.. we can hear the screams from the stalkers.. if i just brush her hair a tiny bit.. the screams come too -_- the thought of kissing never came to my mind even one bit.. too stressful LOL..

i recently read a manga named 1/2 Prince.. about an online game.. there's a vr world called 2nd life.. but when i registered and went online the first time, i felt that its too delusional.. -_-

Some years back, i played a game named JinYong Online.. its a predecessor for the game known as Perfect World.. and same type games..

The game has skills and spells based on chinese martial arts novels. skills like "18 palms of dragon subdue" .. "9 sword strokes of loneliness".. or something like that -_-

my team was made up of a buffer, a tank, a mage, a thief and a lurer.. we were killing mobs 5 levels above us.. but they're dying just too easily.. -imagines lvl 3x killing blue trumpies easily.. in a party of course..

We decided to go to a stronger mob area.. where all mobs we saw are deep dark red in color.. woah.. this means they are more than 13 levels above us.. i was the tank -_- of course.. i always play either tank or fighter in all games i play.

our lurer aggro 1 mob ( bandit mob ), and we finished it off in 3 seconds. its too fast, considering our level difference. After an hour of solo mob killing.. our lurer said :

"This pretty boring.. too easy to kill.."

We agreed in a chorus of voices.. we're using skype..
Then he continued..

"maybe i should go in the Bandit Camp and take a look ?"

We agreed.. and off he went into the camp.. i forgot what class he is, but his dex and agi as well as evasion and running speed is the highest.. he came out within 20 seconds with a mob of 5 mobs behind him..

i tanked.. and our mage does AoE.. and we pretty much pwn the mobs.. altho the damage on me was very high.. my gear is considered good.. but the level difference cancelled out the defense rate.. 3 to 5 mobs is good.. anything more than that.. its no good.. our lurer said :

"Not bad eh ? good exp, good loot, fast kill too.. maybe i lure a bit more this time.."

We agreed in another chorus of voices..

30 seconds went by while we have an idle chat.. then our lurer's voice came on out of the blue..

"RUN !!!!!"

We turned our screens and saw.. the whole village of bandits coming after us.. We ran amidst lots of curses.. from the West bandit camp.. right into the East bandit camp..

hohoho.. we have 2 bandit villages after us.. as we tried to run back to town.. besides cusses on skype.. we shouted on world chat..

"OUTTA THE WAY !!!!!"

the mobs aggro in the game is special, as in the mob will chase you all the way into the town.. or until you die or teleport away.. and 1 aggroed mob will call for help from his friends.. thus we have over 100 mobs from both bandit villages coming after us..

if the mob is chasing us.. the spectators are safe.. but if we died.. and the innocent people are in the way of the mob running back to the mob camp.. the mobs will kill them too..

such is the way it happened -_-

We ran into town.. with the 100 or so bandits chasing us.. and we ran circles around the town square.. with people scrambling out of town.. We ain't doing it out of malice -_-

i was running happily with my friends and laughing my asss off on skype when suddenly my screen froze... a chorus of "****!!!!" came on skype..

15seconds later.. the screen unfroze.. and i find myself staring at the ground.. and i can see my team mates hp = 0.. not only that.. i can see the town's many many vendors as well as innocent AFK people.. lying dead on the ground..

Out of the corner of my screen.. i spied the Bandit Leader strutting away THROUGH the cities' walls -_- and a chat bubble on his head..

"Weaklings.. now you know our power.."

That's the day in JinYong Online, known as the NPC's Independence Day -_-" where over 100 npc mobs pwn over 500 players -_-

its one of the greatest pwnage in my gaming history ^_^ V

my internet was down yesterday, and i got a computer-savvy colleague of mine to come over to my home and take a look.. he's a smart indian man with black, curly hair..

he got the problem figured out in a few minutes.. seems i have a damaged LAN cable, internet and networking still works fine tho, only my specific computer has a problem..

after he left, i went out to buy the LAN cable. when i came back home, no one else was home except my sister showering in the bathroom..

i plugged in the cable and was able to access the internet as well as the home networking.

As i sat down to check my email.. my sister finished her bath and went to her room, passing my room in the process.. and she backtracked and walked into my room instead..

She stood behind me.. tapped me on the shoulders and said :
"Lookie.. ?"

I replied as i always did when replying to her..
"yeah =.=?"

she said :
"i noticed some curly hair on your computer table as well as your keyboard a while back when i was using your computer.. "

i gave no immediate reply as i let her words sink slowly into my head.. when you're doing something.. and people ask you another thing.. if your attention isn't exactly there, the words will not register immediately.. thus the delayed response..

As i was contemplating her words.. she said again :
"Did you.. um.. "

As i turned to face her.. her initial question half-forgotten, our eyes met.. and she kinda blushed and gave me a wink.. a pat on my head.. and left my room with a knowing smile on her lips.. while muttering.. "oh.. nevermind.. lookie is a man afterall.."

As i watch her retreating back.. i turned stiffly back to my computer screen while my mind played out her last sentence.. as well as the conversation since she came into the room..

ahh.. she's been giving me knowing smiles since yesterday.. and i had no freaking idea what they mean.. although some train of thought did come to pass in my mind.. but that's not quite possible.. -_-

gah, women.. after living with her so many years.. i still have no idea how her mind works -_-"
