Amg, FFVI/III is awesome~ Apart from the demonic clown, cause clowns eat people.

Morrowind is lush <3 graphics schmaphics. It was sooooo much better than Oblivion because there was so much more to DO, since they focused on that rather than making it AMGPRETTYSHINY.

You could have your own freakin' ESTATE. Forget houses, why have a boring old house when you can have three, plus a watchtower and your own guards?
And you could collect books and candles (which IRL would burn down your house, but who cares?) and fill literally so much space with your random karp that the game can't take it and it puts the excess in a little bag, which you then proceed to swear at for mucking up your perfect layout ...

I was busy finishing all versions of Pokemon. I didn't really paid much attention to any other games when Pokemon came out.

Dark Cloud 2 is superior in every aspect over DC1 other than "difficulty" factor.

Graphics: Comparing Dark Cloud 2 graphics to Dark Cloud 1 is very simple.

The only real difference is that DC1 characters are a tad taller. The rest is that the textures of DC2 are much better than DC1. And the lighting effects are nicer. And the overall character design is a lot more vibrant. REally, when you think about it, DC2 is a much "Brighter" game overall.

Gameplay wise, the two games are exactly the same, and not.

You still have WHP and ABS to worry about and you will increase weapon levels in the exact same way, and most of the healing and repair items are the same and the general controls are the same.

HOWEVER.

In DC2, you are introduced to the left hand weapon. This gives you the chance to fight from a distance without having to change characters, and some monsters, mostly flying monsters, are very weak against your left hand weapon and can be brought down with a few attacks. Also, Power Attacks (You know, the hold X for a second then release attack?) no longer drain WHP when they are used. Only if you manage to strike your opponent does your weapon take damage. Locking on and guarding is no longer a chore either. AND you don't have to worry about the thirst gauge. While I thought the thirst gauge was innovative at the start, by the end of the first dungeon, you'll wish it didn't exist. Oh yes, and your attacks aren't limmited by a "Speed Gauge" that determines your number of hits. Also, each character has more than one combo. Max has four combos total for his wrenches, two five hit combos and two three hit combos. For the Battle Wrench to the Poison Wrench, it is one type of combo and for the Sigma Breaker and the Grade Zero, you get an entirely new combo. Hammers have their own combos, different types of swords have different combos. Short swords have longer five or six hit combos while longer swords have shorter combos. It's not the exact same combo for every weapon, so that spices up the game a bit. Throwing rocks at enemies is fun too, so is throwing an enemy at another enemy. Especially since they both get stunned and then you can mow them down with Last Resort, the most freakin sweet gun in the game. (Its a freaking four-barreled handheld machine gun of DOOM. It is also blood red, most likely from the fact that this thing kills enemies in the most gory fashion possible, turning them into swiss cheese. >:O)

So yeah, DC2 has better gameplay. Oh and there is also the fact that Power Attacks make you invincible for a split second, making them a nice choice for evading the Dark Element's and the Dark Genie's GIANT LAZAR OF DOOOM.

Weapon care:

Weapon care in DC1 was number one priority. If your weapon broke, it magically TURNED TO DUST. That means all the work you put into making that Chronicle 2 sword was just undone. Having a weapon break was like watching a loved one die in front of your eyes. It hurt to the very core. Especially with the rather horrible item synthesis system in DC1. Come on. Admit it. It was rather clunky, but very innovative, but still clunky and in need of serious tweaking.

In DC2, you aren't going to throw your console out the window because you broke your chronicle 2 sword. No, instead, the weapon becomes ineffective against monsters until you repair it. Oh, and it loses a chunk of ABS. D: That was bad on rather high leveled weapons, like say, a Grade Zero +22. Leveling up a weapon like that takes time. Getting one level usually equates to four or five fights through a Zelmite Mines stage, and even with maxed defense, monsters in there can kill you in two hits.

Synthesis:

The synthesis systems are essentially the same, but DC2 refined it to near perfection. The steep ABS requirements for higher level stuff is annoying though.

The ridepod:

D: I didn't like the ridepod in DC1, but I liked the one in DC2. Maybe cause it looked better.

The Georama system....

I'll be honest, I liked the georama better in DC1 due to the fact that you didn't have to waste a ton of money buying materials to make houses and stuff to rebuild the place.

But, the Carpentarion in DC2 has a mustache..... >.> Tough choice...

The atlamillia....are the same. Sorta.

DC1 also has a sephiroth wannabe in the game as well, so it gets another negative point for having that.

Items:

The items are, in essence, the same. A few have been taken out, and power up items have been reduced to three, instead of the fifty flipping million you had to watch out for in DC1. (REALLY. Bag up grades, defense boosters unique to each character, thirst meter upgrades, health upgrades, pain in the butt to keep track of them all.) The only items that DC1 had that DC2 should have had was the auto-repair powder. >:O That stuff was freakin awesome. DC1 also had better access to revive powder at the beginning of the game. If you find revival powder in DC2, you are really lucky. (Number of revival powder I found in DC1: A bloody ton, more than 200. Number I found in DC2: 2. TWO FREAKING REVIVE POWDER.)

You also don't die every five seconds like you did in DC1, mainly cause the damage monsters did was decreased slightly, and you find more defense power ups since there are only two to watch out for.

Escape powder was another REALLY EASY TO FIND item in DC1. I had found around 30 before I finished the first dungeon.

But yeah, you found so many Escape powders and Revive powders in DC1 because, lets face it, you died in that game.....a lot....a freaking lot. Like, normal monsters kill you in three hits a lot. And they don't flinch much, so they keep attacking a lot. Really.

D: The main character's voice was really annoying to. He's supposed to be what, 16 years old? He sounds like he's been kicked in the man parts really hard and is stuck yelling in a high pitched voice, not unlike this guy here.

But yeah, to me, DC2 was a better game. It had better gameplay, streamlined customization, two characters chosen by the atlamillia and they go on a time traveling adventure, which is something we all want to do, better graphics, a more memorable characters, a fun combat system, awesome weapon designs, face it DC2 is an all around better game than DC1. The only thing DC1 does better than DC2 is it's aggravation, and maybe its Georama system.
