This short story was written by Epith's own Sean (Master_X) ^^ <333. I thought it was cute so I asked him if I could share it x3. Enjoy! :)
“Come on Poi let’s go, we need to hurry before the KQ starts,” said _Lucretia_ .
She quickly ran toward the middle of Luminous Stone 2, which was inhabited, by spiders, bats and anything else that could harm you.
“:( Eh _Lucretia_ we kinda missed the first KQ, should we join the next one?” queried Poisonous.
“Yeah but we got to hurry, come on!” she shouted as she crushed a spider underneath her +9 axe. It was a race against the clock to reach the dreaded Skeleton Knight; a 6ft tall monstrosity that had been plaguing Elderine for some time.
“We have to do this, Elderine is depending on it,” she said as she crushed another spider. Poisonous quickly ran past and shot a volley of arrows at a group of bats, “Come on Luc, we should just run through all of these guys, they are just slowing us down.”
She nodded and ran forward and mocked a group of bats and spiders, “Run ahead I’ll deal with these guys,” she said as she dropped the head of her axe down onto a bat sending it straight into the ground.
“T_T that’s not what I meant Luc XD I meant for you to just keep running,” she said in frustration.
She laughed, “Oh sorry, I’m so stupid >.<.” She quickly ran through the group and dashed past a bunch of mage books.
A loud shout came from the next room over “Luc! The second KQ is gone we need to hurry!” She kept running, bashing her way through clusters of bats and spiders. An arrow whistled past her head and straight into a bat, leaving it with a gaping hole in its stomach.
“POI! Don’t you ever do that to me again, you gave me a heart attack!” she screamed, as she chuckled quietly to herself, the room was within reach of the two adventurers.
“Ok so how are we going to do this? You tank and ill provide support or I tank and you provide support?” she quickly blurted out. “I think I’ll tank, since I am a fighter and all ^^” she said as she proudly boasted her strength off by smashing a bat into the air.
“T_T okay fine you numbskull lets do this” she replied.
She quickly ran up and dropped the axe down onto the Skeleton Knight, it howled and swung the sword towards her face. Another volley of arrows rained down upon the skeleton and it began bleeding. “Last KQ lets move this show along!” she yelled as another arrow swung past her head. She quickly released a loud shout and swung the axe in a circular arc, which split part of the skeleton, it winced and slashed _Lucretia_'s arm and left a nasty wound. _Lucretia_ cried out in pain and started bleeding, “Luc he is almost dead hurry” shouted Poi, “I’m trying Hun! You try fighting with stupid periodic bleeding and nasty lag!” She sighed as she thought to herself “You’re the idiot that wanted to tank T_T”
She shot another arrow and it pierced through the skeletons head, making it falter slightly, “Hurry deal the finishing blow!” she screamed. She swung the axe and sent a bone-shattering thump into the skeletons pelvis. It crumpled to the ground and slowly disappeared as its soul drifted upward.
She shivered all over “Thank god that’s over, now Elderine can live in peace, well lets go do the KQ now ^^”. A look of horror drifted over her face “We…. WE MISSED THEM ALL! Thanks a lot Luc! T_T”
Such are the perils of doing a quest before a KQ!
