Okay, one of my friends actually tried to download fiesta (without my prompting, he found it on his own xD) but he stumbled across a problem ... He couldn't get into the game. No matter what he did. Because he lives in the UK.

In most of the areas designed for "help", like the starting out section and the troubleshooting area, there are floods and floods of threads about "strange symbols instead of the server list", which I know for a fact means that the user is trying to log on from an IP address in Europe as it happened to me when I tried to make a new storage account >>

Shouldn't Outspark make it clear on their downloads page that you can't play this version of the game if you live outside the US/Canada? Like, in BIG RED FLASHY LETTERS at the top of the screen so people don't ignore it? xD
Shouldn't they at least try to fix the weird symbols that come up so that anyone who DOES try to load up the game at least knows what the problem means?

As far as I can see, the only people who would know about this would be people who were actually already playing at the time of the big EU business or people who take the time to read through every single thread on the forums =o

Good idea/bad idea?

Ick, I'm so sorry to hear the bad news :(. I read a while ago that UK became one of the countries under contract for Gamigo so new accounts can no longer be created through regular channels for Outspark's version of Fiesta.

Maybe someone would be kind enough to explain about proxy servers to resolve your friend's issue perhaps?

EU IP block is alive and there is not a chance for anyone from GB to access US Fiesta, HOWEVER i would not advice any proxy back door because this might effect in very quick ban <proxes are considered illegal by most MMO games including OS Fiesta>.
I remember how Elfenlied get in troubles whit staff during IP block crisis for "promoting" proxes so in other words using proxes to access US Fiesta will be playing on the ban sword edge...

Perhaps it would be good to make it more clear on this site that this particular version caters to the US, Canada and Mexico regions.

On the main site for the Fiesta games, fiestaonline.net, they do actually tell you that there is a different version for the EU area. I would suggest linking your friend to that site and helping him with the download for his version. You can still help him get started and find his way around :)

Yeah, I figured a proxy was no option since I'm pretty sure that violates the ToS somehow xD But thankyou anyway Rin~

Thanks Celtic, I didn't actually know that fiestaonline was sort of the base for the whole thing, every time someone posted something from there I assumed it was something to do with the Korean version ^^;;
Most of the links on websites and advertisements and so forth automatically link to Outspark, hence the mixup Dx

Lol I stumbled onto the main site through a game review when I first started playing. It does contain links to every version of fiesta as well as basic information about the game.

I'm warning you now though, the translations are pretty interesting sometimes. For example, they say "Fista" online in some spots....
