I just recently joined a Mara Kingdom quest late last night with my Level 18 Cleric. As soon as I was warped I advertised my no party status and waited for an invite. None came, instead everyone took off running. I was left behind allong with another cleric in the same boat as me. For the majority of the quest we where partyless clerics, at the mercy of the pirates the group had pourposly left to shave off time from the ticking clock. Both of us pleaded that we still needed a party, but for the most part was ignored. We strugled through and eventually caught up to the main group that was already figting a mini boss.
By that time we where exausted and running low on stones, pots and patience. Having no party, when there was a kill we both obtained 0 experience points. As we drew near the final boss and the group stopped to heal, I was bombarded with demands to heal them, buff them, focus on the tank and to stay out of everyones way. The cleric that had kept me company was fortunatly taken in to party that had lost one of its members. I however, was not as lucky. When the quest was over my overall experience gained was much less that what I would have gained if I was training in the field. I spent the entire quest partyless, and am extrememly iritated on how everyone treated me.
They abandoned me, leaving me to die. They where extrememly rude, demanding that I heal them now and thats all that Im good for. Even though supporting is our best abilty doesent mean we are usless otherwise and should be treated like dirt because we cannot tank like a fighter can. It also doesent mean you have to be rude and say we are usless to our face. He should have kept all his opinions to himself. In the words of my Cleric companion, "Clerics are underpaid and underapreciated". I believe that is true. Next time I participate in a KQ Its going to be "No party=No Heal"
I understand that healing is an important job that only clerics can do, but I refuse to be treated this way. Next time this happens to me I am going to sit back and watch them all die. They can curse me all they want, but its only untill respect is given that respect is earned. Rudness wont get you anywhere in life, Fiesta is no exception.
Anyone have comments or similar situations such as this? Im quite curious to see if anyone else has been treated this way >.<

It happens deary, you just have to move past it. It has sadly happened to me as well and my lag didn't help one bit either :/. Level up a little bit and you won't even need a party next-show em up ^_^ Btw I love the title of this.

I feel for ya Mega, I've been through similar experiences in the younger KQs when I was growing up. I took a different outlook to it. If they want to rush and leave me, a healer, behind then they are welcome to.
However it comes with a price, I dont do anything and make them do the work the entire time. If they want to leave me behind because they want things done, then they can finish what they started. If they don't like it, to bad, I'm there to stay till the KQ is either completed or failed. That usually pisses them off and I remind them they ignored polite requests early on.
They walk away angry and pissed off but I really don't care. If you want to "use" me, you've come to the wrong cleric. I'm sure many of us older clerics can relate in some way, shape, or form.
Don't let it get to Mega, just remember their names and pass the word around if they want to join YOUR party in the future. Kharma has a nasty habit of coming back to collect interest with such folks. ^.~

So I see im not the only one with this type of problem *sigh*
I'm just not going to tolerate being treated like this anymore
And yes, Karma will come back to bite them in the end x3

I understand you~ :x And yeah, people are like that -.-'' It's stupid how theres 15 people in the KQ, and there SHOULD be 3 parties of 5...Yet, theres still some who remain unpartied.
I've experienced somewhat the same problem as a level 17 cleric in the Mara KQ. After being added to a party, and seeing my level, they banned me from the party afterwards. During that time I accidentally got a cut on my shin xD so I decided to go suicidal xD Since it was pointless to continue without a party... Once I got to level 20, it was a lot better... considering I can revive -.-'' But even being able to revive, we're underappreciated by some, and appreciated by some ^^ People 'scream' at you to revive during KQ's often. Some would stay dead quietly, then thank you afterwards. =P You'd feel nice being thanked. =D
KQ's are harsh when there are very few clerics u.u Especially if there are very few clerics that can revive.
~End's rant~ :x

i hate to say it, but yes it does happen, even when you get higher up the lvl's today was my first time in Robo KQ and i didnt get a party invite until the last 10 minutes of the KQ, i died about 7 times while asking for a party i was told repeatedly to "quit whinning noob and form your own party" well kinda hard to do when everyone BUT me is in one...i am a lvl 35 Archer, almost lvl36 and i was really upset by the behaviour and treatment of the other players...i take that back it wasnt so much the other players, just one in particular. And its people like them that dont make this game fun at all, we all have quests that need to be worked on and the only way to get them done is to work as a team. Im not entirely sure if it was just that one particular group in the KQ but it has made me apprihensive about joining another anytime soon.

Haha they can't do anything about it if you don't wanna heal them now can they? Next time, don't heal them. Doesn't matter if you fail the kq, it's not your fault. It's theirs.

if they aren't going to invite you into a party, then don't feel oblidge to heal them since they should already have a cleric in their party to heal them, if not, what the hell was they doing without a cleric in their team? Just try to keep up with the group (in the middle of it all is safe) and help heal the main tanker at the boss since after all everyone should contribute in for the KQ to be successful.
Back when I was doing Mara, since i was a END/STR cleric, i often prefered to solo (unless not many clerics are in that KQ then you should join a party to help out). That way I can kill things and just heal myself if needed instead of being boss around by a bunch of people. Some of the players who are in the higher end of the lvl requirement also prefer to solo in KQs too, hence not every single KQ will have 3 full parties. Don't feel bad if you didn't get invited though you asked b/c may be there are a few others who are just soloing b/c they prefer that way. But then again, if you aren't in a party, that means you aren't oblidge to heal any of them till the boss part (then you help heal the tanker) :)

In slime KQ I very rarely got treated badly. In mara KQ I very rarely got treated well. I gave up on mara after a while because it got too aggravating, I just went out and did other quests or fought mobs to better use my time.
Do speak up for yourself, though. If people treat you badly and then demand a heal just say no, I don't heal people who do [x] to me. Then if they apologize, heal them. If not, let them die and don't rez them. Maybe it'll teach them some manners.

Ha! I experienced that in a Robo KQ. I ended up sitting back there just as you are in your picture, the entire time. I even got a chance to dance on a few corpses and then run off before stuff latched onto me.
Robo KQ is a hit or miss middle ground of levels. [A] tends to be newbs with no clue joining so B or C are usually better odds but you'll end up with some slipping into those too.
Me? I'm just waiting to see those newbs get around to joining the Mean Giant Honeying KQ. I rarely see it active these days.

if noone invites me i just go after the boss because i dont' care if my party is ready because i don't have one. SO when I am tanking with my cleric they are panicing. I solo'd them both with my cleric. So people don't think clerics can only heal. Plus usually if you hit the boss people will start to join and then curse you these people just watched and hoped i died but i survived so i got all the exp for myself and noone else got it.

On the contrary I think clerics are in high demand, the problem would be that there have been an influx in clerics recently which means that even though everyone needs a cleric there is a higher supply than there is a demand.

That always usually seems to be the case. The main tank also usually gets snapped up fast.
I remember one Mara KQ I did I asked for a party invite no one invited me then I asked again 5 seconds later saying I'll be main tank then I was invited to a party with 2 clerics.

not being able to form 3 full groups on KQ's keeps amazing me. I can recall very few runs where someone wasn't left outside or some party didn't have less than 5 members. Despite repeating questions of who in undermanned usual answer is silence. I've played all classes except mage and i cant understand the motivation behind staying silent. Even as cleric which i consider my main, i always prefer my group being full, not matter if the last members added are low levels or not. Even if it means slightly more responsibility, you still get more exp, stronger buff and better odds to successfully finish the run

See having knowledge of both being a fighter and a cleric, I know both sides of the story, but I am always on the cleric's side. I respect all clerics as long as they are willing to help the group. I do Mara KQs on Bijou with my pure END tank Kris all the time. Those in a Mara KQ that don't know me by name, quickly learn that, if you stick with me I will do my damnedest to not let you die, or even take much damage. I am probably one of the few tanks that will never ask for a heal unless fighting a boss because I am willing to use my own pots and stones. I will never spam rez if I die, I will ask nicely and give my location to the best of my abilities, and if no one rezs me I will simply use a life. I also have a cleric named Gobbles on the Teva server lvl 25, and I understand the clerics pain. I too went through many KQs that were annoying because of all the people that expected one cleric to be so uber that they didn't need any help. A few times I was the only cleric in Mara and all I got the entire KQ was REZREZREZREZREZ! Finally I told them stop dieing and you may get a rez once in awhile. In any case I feel your pain, but I would never not help a person in a KQ.

I just did a Mara and guess what we had four Clerics and only one healed!. One was dpsing and only healing himself and Dpsers, one was a total noob and didn't do anything and one was like 'ZOMG KILL EVERYTHING, WE NEED TO KILL MARAS LEVEL UP' and guess what he didn't heal either.

Happens all the time. 99% of the human race are idiots who can't be trusted with anything. If you want a party, do what i do. As soon as you teleport in, invite the first 2 fighters and 2 mages you see. Grab an archer instead if there are no mages or they're already taken. The last time this happened to me i was asking for a party every few seconds the entire KQ and never got invited. I decided at that moment that the only way for me to reliably get invited and for the group to be well constructed was for me to do it myself. Since i started making the group myself i've always had 5 party members in every KQ. Every time i see one of the other people asking for a party half the quest i feel sorry for them because i can't invite them. I also feel relieved because if i didn't make my own party that could have been me.

I completely understand you, I went in at lvl 17, and got NO help, what so ever. Mara KQ needs to be changed though, for the simple fact that anyone lv 20+ can simply run arround the pirates but anyone lower then that cant do crap without dieing out.
We went in there for the first time (My fiance and I) and recieved no help... we were just left to die.

At the times when I do get invited to a party I do my very best to heal all the my teamates when needed and stay back when a foe is too strong for me. I see that this situation seems to happen allot however, in most cases Ive only seen about 4 or 5 scattered partys and almost never 3 full ones. Its a shame, the bonus for our buffs would have been a great help. And having all the partyless clerics die off before the final boss can only hurt them all in the end. *cackles*

generally a lv18 cleric in that KQ is pretty useless. its like having a lv8 in the slime kq. hell, even at the higher level KQ its the same. just level a bit before you do the KQ so your usefull.
wait till you hit robo and the fighers dont aggro the monsters from the clerics, then everyone dies. its a sad sad scene. ive failed like 4 of them because of people not understanding how a party works with huge mobs...

IS TRUE WHAT U HAD SAID
AND ALL THE DISCRIMINATION AND ALL THE STRUGGLE
still the game won't look up into our cleric ability
we try to make the character worthy like any classes out there in the game
I hope that the game will look into the problem and issue
for us cleric we did help everything and supported every other character
and the only feedback from others is that we cleric branded as "lousy"
blame who?
-healing skill cool down 3 sec
-no party heal skill
-sp consuming
-no range spell (as warior got taunt)
-healing doesn't effect undead
-invincible skill buff last 5sec and 2min cool down(r u kidding me)
in 2min u can do wonder
-hammer description stun enemy (lier) only damage doesn't stun
What the GAME Moderator got to do with the issue
will it be solve?
CLERIC SUPPOSE TO BE LIKE NOT TO BE DISCRIMINATE
IS NEVER TOO LATER TO MAKE A WELL BALANCE FOR STANDARD CLERIC SKILL
CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG
ok,
1) healing cool down- put points into it to dec cool down time to max. does wonders.
2) decrease sp consumption on heal to max, basically halves the cost.
3) party heal spell is a high level spell (50 or 60's i believe)
4) all our heals have a long range, when we're in a KQ let the fighters fight, we just keep everyone alive. because we generally dont do enough damage to make it worth it for us to fight.
5) duh healing doesnt effect undead >.<
6) put points on duration of Invincible, one point gives 3 seconds. its a life saver.
7) i use a mace so i wouldnt know....but i didnt think the hammers would stun, never saw it in their description.

sorry to hear about all of yours experiences, but i haven't had the unfortunate luck of that happening to me except for the first time i entered into the slime kq ... i thought i was quite low level so no one invited me but also because i didnt ask for a party...
after that first kq experience, i ALWAYS form my own party... when you first enter the map, have a shortkey to invite people into party. i ususally invite a cleric first, to ensure that my party has 2 clerics (myself included) then i spam the invite key on other players....
in the case where im short of partymates, i shout to the map if anyone needed party or if my party and another merge to form a full party...
best of luck in future kq's ^^

I understand your situation. I was in a Mara KQ earlier today on my archer, and we only had one Celric. I was one of the kinder people, asking for revives when they could and thanking her when she did. Others were ranting saying the celrics weren't doing their jobs. It's a little hard when you are the only one. Then we had a mage who wanted to randomly pull everything and gave her a hard time when she didn't rezz him. Is this really how us celrics get treated? If so, I don't think I want to continue on with my celric. (She's Lv.10) A please and thanks would be nice, and don't leave us behind. I guess it's just how it is with celrics, use 'em and abuse 'em. :/ At least there are a few people who show gratitude that I see. None at the lower levels where my celric is.

i would say take charge, make your own parties, warn the idiots that fight beside mara bosses that they will not be rezzed if they do not fight from behind. and if they miss out on the reward on the final moment it's their loss. this usually will keep them on their toes :P

this is how all lower end lvls of the KQ's are treated. level up so the kq can be much easyer and fun.

It happens deary, you just have to move past it. It has sadly happened to me as well and my lag didn't help one bit either :/. Level up a little bit and you won't even need a party next-show em up ^_^ Btw I love the title of this.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. 2 days ago, I joined a Mara KQ... and found out that I was the only HighCleric there... I was constantly swarmed with demands to heal and rez (me and 2 others ended up getting left behind because I was busy rezzing), and when we finally reached the ship, I freaked out. I started sceaming out that rezzing has a 30 second cooldown and how I was the only HighCleric there, until one kind soul says, "OK guys, let's just give him some respect." Everyobody stopped swarming me with requests, and I began rezzing eveybody, smiling. The man who aked the others to give me respect is the only reason I kept helping everybody else. He deserves a cookie

um....sure you did. and if its true you deserve to have the snot knocked out of you. and dont threaten other players, there was nothing wrong with what Jaded said. its the truth. learn to deal with life in the real world as well as the life in game.

i find that in mara KQ that happens alot
My mage has gotten left behind and trapped when she had no sp and i was left partyless many times until the last boat. I think that every class can get left behind there.

way to rant. That's exactly what you do, No party=no heal. Cleric's AREN'T useless, I've relied on them in other MMORPGs, and they've saved my skin more times then I can count.

O.o What are you talking about? When I was able to do robo, [A] tends to be the pre-formed guild parties who want to down robo...and [B] and [C] had the most difficulty.

Flexing your internet cyber muscles are we? Doesn't that just make you feel SO grown up. You can keep on living in your little dream world because I doubt you have any skill to follow through on those words.

Well maybe [A] has changed since early OB then. My majority of experience with Robo is that people don't join [A] as often because most of the new people to it quickly join but the KQ fails a lot because there's to many inexperienced people joining it. [B] and [C] were the better ones to settle into back then. :3
