Unfortunately, I do not know enough about either of the aforementioned corporations to make an informed decision comparing and contrasting them. However, "I don't know, but I don't care" would not be accurate, either, because I do indeed care.

I like them both and (and Nintendo) and they all entertain me. I am enjoying my 360 more right now, however and I don't have any of the later Sony consoles. In fact, right now, I don't have any Sony consoles, (we sold the PS1 to get the PS2 and then the PS2 broke....) Consoles aren't the only things that they do, I know, but that's what I usually base Microsoft Vs Sony opinions on.

Couldn't vote, no option that fits my take on it: "No preference worth speaking of."

Microsoft's made steady progress with Wndows since the first version. Slow progress to be sure, but progress enough to satisfy me that they're at least making more than a "token" attempt.

Sony- I've no gripe about their products, and never have had any. Only thing about them that got under my skin a bit was their repeated attempts to become "the industry standard" in any product line they work in. Looks like they finally succeded with Blu-Ray over HD-DVD, and more power to'em. They finally figured it out and did it right.

I hope it soothes the hit their ego took when VHS ran BetaMax completely out of the market all those years ago. ;)

I like both. Both companies make products that I use everyday.

However, since you threw in Nintendo in the poll, I just used this poll as in game consoles, since Nintendo does video games.

When it comes down to it, I chose Sony for video game consoles. SNES is my favorite system, however I do love my PS3 and enjoy everything I can do on it. So, in the context of video games, I vote Sony.

Also, I love all electronic things made by Sony XP

*nods* Precisely why I didn't vote- the poll almost, by default, has to be about game consoles. Because if you ignore those, asking "MS or Sony" is a bit like asking "Nike or KFC?"

And as a side thought...ignore consoles, and how should the owner of a Sony laptop running Windows vote? Things that make ya go "geeez, what's that clown grummin thinking- or is he even bothering to?"
