Kiting, drops, & SC

When you solo-kite, how do you pick up drops? I tend to have a hard time picking up drops. If I kite a large group of mobs, I can forget about picking up drops. If I kite a few mobs, I'd waste too many HP pots and stones to stop/slow down to pick up all the drops. If I make a circle, my drops are either being picked up by other people or disappear. Even if I'm able to pick them up, I can't pick all of them up. It's more irritating when picking up rare quest drops. >.<

When I play a cleric and duo with an archer, I can't pick up drops either, especially in a big room in abyss. I always use auto-follow to keep me from getting lost and keep the archer within healing range. The drops were all over the place, I could only put my luck in auto pick-up. If I stop and pick those drops, that means death to the archer. Or it'll be impossible to keep on grinding w/o the archer's need to re-stone. I remember those green drops, what a pity... But I love the exp. ^.^

If you guys have used the King's Touch before, how does it work? 1 click = all drops pick up? Or 1 click = 1 guarantee drop is yours? If it's the latter one then the King's Touch is useless in this case.

well when I kite, I wait till a bunch of the monsters are dead and go kite/pick up items at the same time... :/ it all really depends like in 7x I would kite a mob of monsters then stand still and kill them and gather the drops, then continue gathering monsters

How to pick up drops varies from location to location. Some of it is mob size control, some of it is making sure your kiting area is small enough that you can get the drops. There's just lots of factors.

I was told I "run funny" because I swerve a lot to gain more time while spamming autopickup in the 5x abyss. 6x abyss gave me no trouble, as the rooms were small enough that I could pick up drops as a natural part of kiting.

What about King's Touch?

I thought King's touch was a farming speed enhancement O.o;

But I usually kite like cercia, running in swervy motions to get all the drops.

i think king's touch allows u 2 either:

1. no annoying .5 sec CD on pickup or;

2. 2 items per pick-up
