This is the story of how I tried to get a +9 magic staff for my mage by enhancing....
A gong lime ato ina falaxy war war agay....anyway...
I was ready, I had the first tab of my inventory full of elurus (however you spell it...), and a few in the second, witch was mainly composed of the items to upgrade the stones. Few slots were open for the wep and the singled out eluru. I had 10s for buying extra magic staffs for when they broke.

This is my aproxamate*succes rate:
0->+1:100%
+1->+2:100%
+2->+3:95%
+3->+4:25%
+4->+5:10%
+5->+6:0%

In the end it was a big flop, I used up all my elurus, and had about 2s left...and a +3 weapon... and the +5 i allready had equiped but that doesnt count...

GM's answer me this: How are we supposed to*make a +9 weapon when we cant even make a +6??
You think +9 suppose to be easy?
Only a few people should be able to have such high upgraded things. It should take a LONG while before someone succeed with +9 stuff.
But knowing this game has a cash shop there will either be items that prevent your item from breaking or increase success rate. So it will probably not take a long time until some rich guy spends tons of cash to get his stuff to +9

I knew it wasnt going to be easy....i was hoping for possble.

Though I did notice one thing... A while back my +1 +2 and +3 rates were 100% 50% 25%...now those allmost never fail... Im still wondering about this one. GM if you read this, whats the explination for this?

+1+2+3 doesnt really refine n increases ur dmg alot
thats is why they success most of the time
the risk comes at +4 and above and apparentyle lvl 20 weapon has more chance of breaking or failing compare to those below lvl 20

+8 what lvl weapon? Because refining a lvl 15 weapon (cost 243 copper?) is alot easier than a lvl 20 (5s 454c?), you can only do it so many times til you're broke.

I've had the weapon break after trying to make it +1, so err yea, your 100% is not correct.

exactly...i dont think there is a set success rate. Ive broken PLENTY trying to get +1, and even +2. So dont tell me they are 100% man....cause my pocket book knows different lol

yea i've failed and lost my items going to 1,2,and 3 many times...i went through 5 wands yesterday and the best i got was a +3...upgrading should be hard when you get to the higher grade..but seriously,when the price of weapons jump up at ridiculous rates(a few hundred copper at 15,then 5+ Silver at 20 >.<) you shouldnt have to worry about failing from 1-3 so easily and breaking the item ontop of it,the boost for 1-3 is so low that making them almost guarenteed wouldnt hurt anything

lol hit the reason for a cash shop lol you no there gonna have a item like(your item will not fail when you try in upgrad it)or lol then the kids with money in real in can speand it on the game will have full +9 gear in own us all i bet you no am 100%sure thats how its gonna be in OB in beyond am i right?you buy the item in the cash shop were it makes it where your item wont break or a 100%sucess rate of it uping to the next lvl.

Heh maybe prevent item break but I dont know about 100% success rate cash shop item.* Why provide 100% when you have that slight chance it might fail and make even more money off of cash shop? (Vegas ring a bell?)* It is sad to see but many game developers are banking on this notion.* Otherwise you are paying a monthly or upfront charge.
Other than my rant.* The GMs should answer with something to the effect of "Keep Trying". (This is of course if they answer or even read the topic.
My advice (to anyone) IF you are having money troubles is to try and plan out the best way to keep yourself afloat.* Closed / Open Beta will give you that time.

Refining is done here better than in most games.
If you upgrade here beyond the pretty easy +3 mark then the upgrades become really worth it. And to make a lvl 9 weapon I would suggest doing a lot of KQ to get a few +6 if you're lucky and then with even more luck, and maybe blessed/lucky 7-9 stones, refining them even higher.
And it has failed me on +1 before, +2 as well. Pretty low chances, but they are possible to fail. My +1 failure even broke that weapon. O.o

They should make it the more you refine, the higher the chance of success. At least that way, once you get lvl 60, or w/e and you wanna get to +3 (most likely higher) you won't fail at all til +4.

i think to make your wepon more sussful they will make some cash items that make you 100% when you enchant that what i think...

i tried looking for a pattern manage to make (6) +6 weapons (3) +6 shield (1) +7 weapon (1) +7 shield, i believe its all luck but then again 6 times in a row w/o breaking is pretty more than luck it failed once or twice but didn't break once. had different effects on shield they are harder to enhance it annoyed me... pattern or not so far it gave me a higher chance at upgrading.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are tier 2 and 3 elrues/lix/forgeththehighestone'sname That bump you by more than 1 point per refine correct? At least the tool tip implies that is the case. I'm still working my stone skill up to 1000 so I can make them to find out.
*Also, shouldn't you be using Lix rather than elrue up over +3 and the third once you get to +6?

i too would like to see some skill..like the xp in crafting
-to increase success rates..gives us somthing to work toward

on the breaking side i broke a weapon last nite goin from 2-3
-then immediately failed again trying for -1- broke
-then in the next try i failed at +2 it lowered to 1..then i got it to 3 and stopped
-these were lv15 clubs

on the cash shop side..theres often an item called a -seal-
-and it usually prevents an item from breaking on upgrade
-then theres usually a different item for 100% success..so money money money..yea

if your wondering why som1 would buy both
-100% success are one-shot so many are needed
-seals usually live on the item forever..but the seal fades if you trade/sell it <acct tracking>

Looking at the messages here, I see confusion. I wasnt talking general success rate, I was talking for MY success rate for that period of time.
