I think the thread title pretty much explains itself. ;)

If you`re hoping for an official response, better post on General Discussion ;)

Well since I'm too lazy to make a new post. I'd like to request a CL to move this thread.

Moving this to General Discussion.

And to answer your question, Outspark is not obligated to compensate for SC items while their services are down. They have been known to do so in the past, but that was usually for insanely long downtimes.

I don't think there will be any extensions on timed items during the service maintenance today, but maybe a Staff member will drop by and give a definite answer.

Its just the routine maint right? Would askign for this be like asking for it every Tuesday when servers are down? Servers stayd up all day yesterday, I could see this as the compensation.

Then again, I don't work for OS.

Well this is a maint is well exceeding the usual 2-3 hours they normally have.

I don't really see them compensating, since it is announced. But, as stated, they have done so on occasion in the past. I happen to think the SC timers should stop during all server down times.

I agree. Only reason I'm asking is to see whether or not I'll need to open up new sc items as soon as I log in.

Okay. I just went to the news page. Hadn't been there today. I saw the news on it. So yes, it will be 4 hours instead of 2. but with everything that is going to be included I do not think they will compensate you.

[Fiesta] Patch v1.25 (http://fiesta.outspark.com/news/view/?id=zbn.7713) Posted by Straega on Jun 17, 2009

Fiesta Update v1.25
------------------------------

Greetings fellow Isyans! For those of you who haven't run into me in-game yet, I'm Straega, and I'll be providing you all with the weekly updates for your favorite games for now on, and since we've got some server maintenance scheduled tomorrow I thought I'd fill you in on all the details.

The maintenance will be taking place tomorrow, June 7th, at 10:00pm, pacific standard time, and will last for four hours until 2:00am. This maintenance is extended because along with some game updates we'll also be upgrading our server locations to help improve our online user experience.

I'm glad to announce that we're including a new event to this update that'll satisfy your sweet tooth! "We Want Ice Cream!" Head over to the event calendar (http://outspark.com/forums/calendar.php?s=&month=6&year=2009&do=&c=1) for scheduling and more info.

We're currently planned for a possible update on an issue that some players may have been having when they've tried creating a guild, which didn't allow them to. We apologize for the inconvenience and, depending on the bug, it's likely that this patch may address that issue. On a related, albeit less joyous note, guild creation costs will be raised from 300 silver to 1 gold to address issues regarding guild creation abuse, we apologize for the the cost hike, especially to the Cypion players. We're currently working on improving our guild system so stay tuned for more guild updates in the future.

Find the challenge of Gordon's Kingdom Quest a tad less rewarding than you feel it should be? We're increasing the experience so that you'll be receiving more from it for now on. And for those of you in Gordon's who've ran into an empty treasure box, rest assured that all treasure boxes going forward will contain items.

Balancing:

Because it was slightly overpowered, the stats for Helga Shield will be dropped from 1496 physical protection to 573 with its magical protection dropping from 910 to 349.

Miscellaneous:

Though I know all of you loved the smell of the Isya blossoms that dropped randomly from spawned flowers, we've removed them for the game. But fear not! We've got plenty of GMs in Fiesta willing to spread the love until our next Valentines Day event.

A manual update of this patch will be available here after maintenance is completed.

That'll be all for this update. See you in Elderine!

I bolded all the nice things I found in this. The increase for Guild Creation is nice, as it was a long debated player submitted discussion. They are also fixing TWO bugs and romving some unneeded stuff in this patch. They are putting A LOT of work into tonights patch. I mean... A PLAYER SUGGESTION IS GETTING IMPLEMENTED!!!

On another note, I underlined a typo =P

@drigr_x: it states that it will start tonight at 10 (usual) but run into tomorrow morning, as opposed to the normal 2-3 hours.

@jonnoh: I see. I guess it depends on when they open back up, but if they're due to run out in the next 12 hours, I would guess you do need to get new ones.

Yeah. Hmm, I guess we'll have have to see if a staff member will answer our question...

"After reading the news" I also made a new thread to move the discussion of the Maint/Patch itself off of this person's thread who wants to talk purely about compensation.
