Unable to use Hp/SP Stone Issue/Other Patch related issues

Anywho, I've noticed several posts about an issue with users not being able to use their Hp/Sp stones, and usually results in them dying.

I'm not sure if the Staff is aware of this issue yet (Haven't been conscious long enough to see if there have been any Staff made posts), and considering it's about 5:30am Outspark time, they aren't awake either.

So the purpose of this thread is to gather information about this problem so the staff can look in one place and get the info they need to promptly deal with this issue.

Please include a very detailed description of your encounters with this problem (Such as any particular map it occurred, if it occurs more than once, etc) Also include your server name so we can figure out if it's isolated or not.

If there are any other issues along with this one that have popped up, you may include those as well in the same format above.

The servers are running fine, then everyone at the same time gets an issue that would make you think the servers are crashing. No one can you hp/sp stones, skills don't work, scrolls don't work, practically nothing but chat works. Then just when you think the servers crashed it goes away for a minute or two. Then it starts again and again and again. But the servers don't want to crash. Don't even try grinding or wasting your charms.

Enhancing also is having troubles. It glitched on me once. I put the elrue in the exact bottom bow and the tar end up landing in the top right. However, it curved down to the bottom box, resulting in a success. Also, items don't like to allocate, took me forever to try and move my elrues, etc around so I could actually use them. 90% of the time when I enhanced, the star would go around a few times then a message shows up in the log saying, "There was an error in item enhancement." Another 1% of the time, the star would keep moving in circles. I waited 5 minutes once and it still didn't stop.

Yea i couldnt use skills,pots,scrolls,or hp/sp stones. Also i got stuck in certain maps like just a second ago me and a freind couldnt get out of 80 abyss.PLz no roll back i just got my sparkcash yesterday and i grinded all day yesterday :( OOOPS! ohh yeah did i say wen i died i couldnt spawn? it said i was still alive also wouldnt let me logg. then i REALLY couldnt logg cause i was being attacked. then everything froze up. i beg of u plzzzzzzzzz no rollback... ohh yeah D: i dont have a siggy so i have to type my name and server now... In order to help OS sort out the glitches and bugs asap, lets try to condense all the bugs and glitches into one single concise thread so they can find it.

Currently known bugs/glitches:

1. unable to use hp/sp stone

2. unable to pick up items (mob drops/quest items)

3. unable to get up after dying (no option to revive, can't be revived by a cleric and will not auto revive after 1min)

4. getting stuck in abyss

5. 5-10mins delay in logging out of game

6. unable to auto warp out of kq

7. did not get experience or chest after successfully completing kq (relogging clears that issue)

8. unable to get off mounts

9. unable to trade with npc (cannot buy stones or cannot npc items etc.)

10. glitchy trading with other players (both direct trade and vend trade is bugged. the trade completes but the items stay in your inventory until the glitched person relogs, then the items suddenly reappear in the other person's inventory even if the other person does not relog.)

11. unable to move items in inventory

12. long lag time in opening storage or guild storage

13. long lag time in changing equipments

14. unable to block gold spammers

15. can't do production/alchemy

16. delay in return scroll warps

17. stuck at server selection page and cant log in after multiple relogs

18. gameplay lag

19. enchanting bugged (wheel doesn't stop spinning, enchantment stone used). likely lag issue

most of these bugs can be cleared by relogging. however the bugs are like a random lottery to get. if you logged out to clear bugs 1,2,3 that were plaguing you, you might log back to get bugs 4,5,6.

sometimes, the bugs that you cleared will return after playing for a while.

while i understand the need to provide details when bugs occur, but this time the bugs keep popping up so frequently, there is just no point giving any specific details.

to me, listing them is easier to see and for them to test it themselves when they finally do a maintenance to fix it, rather than having them wade through all the posts again to look for it. efficiency in time for both searching and fixing.

to make it look like something is actually being done about this recent non tested patch when in actuality, just like every other time a patch has rained down a hail of bugs on us, nothing is going to be done about it for at least 3 days as it is the weekend.

and get ready for this one cause it's going to blow your mind... this is going to keep happening over and over again. the very definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.

Yep cant get past server choice screen today....
Yesterday had same problem as everyone else just stated.
No hp/sp stones causing death...but not really dead got attacked while zombified so couldnt log or warp or scroll etc... had to restart my computer just to get out of that. ^^
Before that everyone was stuck in eldy or uruga ppl were getting booted from the other maps or couldnt login if their characters were in other maps. you'd click on a scroll but it wouldnt use until 5 minutes later ^^ now that was funny >.> all skilss were glitched too so all we could do was chat like other dude said.
But cant get back in now...my account or my husbands and I see others are having same problem. So we stuck in limbo waiting on fiesta fun XD

Mkay problems started occuring early evening outspark time yesterday. I heard people shouting in Uruga about their friends being stuck on certain maps, and not being able to stone/pot during mobs. Then there were some people who asked, "might there be a rollback" I really hope, just for the sake of all the players currently grinding like crazy to cap/level etc. that this will not happen. I hadn't yet experienced any problems, so myself and full party went to grind lava gargs in SoD, everyone was charmed/sc/etc. except myself... I R full end cleric, no need for charms =o. We had been there for about one hour when my hubby started to lag epically.. the kind of lag that kills people and makes them lose exp, like several people in-party who don't have teva. So he relogged and was still laggy, and we tried mobbing again. Another fail, this time, everyone started to lag. Lag isn't anything new for me, but I don't usually have to jam my skill keys- I was hitting them so hard I think my party could probably hear me on vent.. LOL. Basically, everyone dies.. except for myself and one mage. So I rev, and we try again. Someone else dies. Yey >.> people are dying and I can't do anything about it. In fact, I was also almost dying... Stone lag, and my skills were lagging by about 4 seconds. Then we hear some stuff about other people having the same problem in shout... Mind you this is SoD... not really a ton of people there. So everyone goes- omg server is gonna crash! log out now! My hubby couldn't log out... he was stuck for a good while. The rest of us managed, but they had just recharmed etc. Two level 80s lost good exp. It sucked. Majorly. My hubby and I ended up relogging some time later. It took me forever to get in, because the server screen was stuck on server names. It wouldn't load the next page. We went to FBZ1, and I couldn't restone at all. Neither could he, or a bunch of other people. My party was too worried to go back to grinding gargs. I managed a good chunk of exp there. Level 88 is slow going, but I ended up with 47% from my earlier 34%. Pretty good chunk of 116 million right? I hope my extremely long description helps x.x I really hope OS can fix this problem without a rollback. Right now players are leveling and griding as much as they can because of the cap raise. It'd be very unfair to everyone if we all had to lose a whole day of work. Thanks and I hope this issue can be resolved.

Results are varied. >.>

For me, it takes about 3 tries to login to any server. The screen allows me to click away to my hearts desire, but wont go past the server login screen. After about 3 tries of quitting the game and re-opening the Outspark Launcher, I can usually get into a server.

Once I'm in, it doesnt take too long before my stones stop working, usually when I'm fighting something (Senior Torturers or Des Harkens). I also cant pick up drops, however skills do work for me.

In short:

Server: Epith
Map: Scaffold Execution Ground
Problems: Stones / Pots dont work, Can't pick up drops

Buffs dont work.

Cant leave collapsed Pirson to any other map.
Cant use return scrolls.
Cant send Guild Invites.
Cant boot any one from my guild.
Cant Give any one new ranks in my guild.
Cant pick up drops.
Cant get quest items.
When i died i spawned at the cp gate to eldy and not in eldy.
Cant goto char select screen (when i try the game crashes).
Cant feed my mount.
Cant rest (cant use due to abnormal state).
I deleted the game off my computer completely and reinstalled and it didnt change any thing.
The 30 day blessings of teva isnt working i lost exp when i died. and it dont expire till:
6-29-2009 21:06.
Come on Fiesta Whats going on i can add more to the list but i think i got my point acrossed here.
Is the any way to remove the last update and just do with out it till its fixed and works better? i know it should be able to be done....

I downloaded the patch Thursday evening and it installed fine without any problems. I signed in, but when I got to the server select screen, I was able to highlight the server name, but not select it. Whether I double-clicked on the server name or clicked on “Join” made no difference. I closed out, logged in again, with the same results. On the fourth attempt I was able to login to Epith server. Everything seemed to be fine, at first. After approximately 5 minutes, I went to the Burning Rock map and that’s when I started noticing the problems:

1. A delay when activating a skill or scroll. Delay grew longer over time.
2. When I attempted to use hp/sp stones, nothing happened, whether I clicked on GUI graphics or used the keyboard.
3. A delay when attempting to pick up drops. Delay grew longer over time.
4. Unable to activate mount.
5. Upon death, I was unable to warp back to Uruga map. I just lay there. face down. With those little trees laughing at me.

Chat seemed to work fine, and there was no delay in the character’s movement response. For almost everything else there was a delay that increased over time. After dying a few times, I finally gave up and haven’t played since. Since the game is unplayable right now, I probably won’t try again until I see that a fix has been posted.

I am losing timed items as well.

So I created a Thread as well, I have copy/pasted my issues below, I do not know if my thread got closed.

so ok, i saw somestuff about the issues with the patch...not being able to DL it and such..HOWEVER, there appears to be new issues that maybe CSRs are un aware of?

1) There appears to be a prob with HP/SP stones...as in, you click and it says" Unable to use stone due to abnormal state." Or just "Failed to use.."
Also, this appears to be applying to Pots as well...was unable to use HP or SP pots, I did have a stack of near 50 in my inventory.

2) There appears to be an inability to pick up party drops, regardless of who get the kill, if the item sparkles blue or anything...my whole party was unable to pick up any items.

3) KKP appears bugged, 4 friends of mine were in a KKP party, none of them were dead when the KQ successed and none of them recieved a reward box.

4) NPC vendors and/or Storage not functioning properly. When you click on an NPC, sometimes there is a VERY long delay, or as happened to me, there was nothing, even as i am writing this, my storage has failed to open for my account. This also included turning in quests, Im spaming Jewel Trees and sometimes after arriving in Uruga, I am unable to turn in my completed quest.

So i figured i could just make Outspark staff aware of these issues.

thank you for the responce there is a glich with item pick up it says failed to atain item and for the hp and sp stones say failed to use hp or sp stones also i have been getting dced a lot on epith i really dont know whats going on but i have a really good internet connection and keeps getting disconnected from world server which was not as bad before the maintance on june 17th 09 i dont really run into the failure of useing hp sp stone usage but i run into failure of item pick up a lot.

i think they moved the servers because when Cyp was created it was at the bottom now, it's the 1st one and the rest are out of order too...sooo, idk what's going to happen.

i can't log out in just going to cher select page.... in the game after like three mins online everything stops working.. ( hp/sp stone) i can not move items or pick them up and scrolls dont work. i was in lvl 80 kq today and we all had to log out to go to uruga. there is something really wring with the server (epith).

I will be very upset if they do a rollback, the only real use of a rollback is to TAKE AWAY ITEMS FROM PLAYERS. There can be server re-boots that will not affect our EXP gained (Yeah I an 7% TNL-88!!) or affect our production skills and such.

I do think we should get at least a 24hr extension on our SC items...these probs have made it impossible to play...Whats the point of questing when I cant talk to the NPC to turn in anymore? >< Grr.

The problem is that most games dont have these problems to begin with.. Again, what other game has SUCH massive issues you are nearly forced to purchase things like "Teva"? On other games, seriously, not these issues, others arise where there are hacks and exploits, but not massive server wide issues that completely change/affect gameplay.

I see this very much as one of the following:
A. A ploy for consumers to purchase SC.
B. A sheer lack of competence.
C. A form of Job security. (If it's always "Broke" someone has to always"Fix" it.)
D. Outspark being ripped off by "Server Hosts" if the server used is unstable and/or can not handle the consumer load.

So take your pick...

I died twice because of this, and for me, that means a lot of extra grinding.
I was in cp1 both times, doing quests I had saved (I'm lvl 69), and I'd be kiting a mob, and all of a sudden I can't use my stones or pots, and so I die.
So, yeah, I'm pretty angry, because its not just this, but way too often, there is a glitch that affects gameplay so much that I can't grind or quest.

I have a strong feeling that there wont be a rollback... they only do a rollback if they loose money, such as the item duplication glitch a few months ago, if anything they will just shutdown the servers and fix whatever files they screwed up ^^

Many of us are losing faith in Outspark. Even if you can't resolve the problems immediately, please at least acknowledge the problems and let us know what you're doing to overcome the problems (if you're doing anything). Thanks. Many of us are experiencing far more frustration than fun since the server update.

Hi.

I'm a little out of touch with how this issue came to be and how long its been around, but anyway~

After servers "supposedly" went back up (I never saw them go down myself, my timing was bad, I guess), I went onto my mage on Epith.

The stones and drop pickup works fine for a limited amount of time. Then the two functions get "locked" again. It's occurred twice now, and its happened to my friends and guildies. It happened to me in Uruga, it happened to a guildie of mine near harkans (so either CP or SEG) and it happened to a friend of mine who was doing his lv60 repeat (so either CP1 or AEW).

So yeah, hope that info helps.

EDIT: A relog fixes it, but only for the aforementioned "limited" amount of time.

I mean seriously, I am using the 100% boost exp card and this kinda stuff happened. How am I suppose to play the game properly and gain my exp with this kinda problem? I play in the Apoline server. Everything was working fine for me but after several minutes of being logged in, things started to malfunction and this is what happened to me last night:

1. Can't use pots (but the stones worked fine for me).
2. After dying in Concealed Prison 1st floor, I clicked to warp back into town but I still remained in the same spot and still got attacked which prevented me to close the game (had to go through Task Manager to shut the game down).
3. Switch to another character; started off fine at first but after several minutes, could click on the NPC characters but couldn't get my storage page to appear.
4. Went to collect clam meat and starfist for a quest, was able to collect starfish the first two times but after that, was unable to pick up anymore drops.
5. Couldn't get on my mount saying that I couldn't do that in an abnormal state.

Can't use HP/SP Stones about 80% of the time, Sometimes, although rather rarely, I cannot pick up drops, Can't Equip/Un-Equip Anything, takes sitting at the storage for like 5-10 minutes before the storage will actually open, cannot move items in my inventory around, can't use scrolls... Oh, and the most annoying thing; whenever I died, I could push move, and go nowhere... and the monsters keep attacking your lifeless body .___.

This seems familiar to what happened last year when they moved the servers, they didn't tweak the servers after they moved them to make it so they wouldn't lag... Hopefully they will fix the issue before they go home for the weekend... There will be quite a few unhappy people if the problem doesn't get resolved before the weekend, alot of people that play Fiesta can only play during the weekend, and being unable to use pots or stones, or pick up drops, the game is practically unplayable... I tried grinding the 60 abyss yesterday, died repeatedly because of the inability to stone, and when I ran out of SP the only way I could get it back is if I shroomed while the mob was hitting me.

*Sigh* This is just stupid...

Hopefully Outspark will do something to compensate us... Extend our activated Cash-Shop stuff for the time that this has been going on, an Exp. Boost for the time as well... Something...

i was killing fire nix on my mage then when i couldnt use skills anymore, i realised i needed to use an sp stone

kk when I first logged into Epith last night (Uruga) everyone was shouting about the 'problems' : Couldn't buy stones, couldn't use stones, couldn't use HP/SP pots...

well I went into KKP KQ >.> we did it successful and yes, I was also 'glicthed' at times where I couldn't use my stones...bad to know/find out when you are tanking...I was VERY thankful for the wondreful cleric who kept me alive... it gets better >.> after we had successfully finished the KQ, none of us warped back to Uruga... *sighs* ok...I shouted to everyone to relog...viola..relog..back in Uruga...icing on the cake: no reward chest when we all succeeded...

soo couldn't use stones/pots, wasn't able to warp out of my KQ at least and no reward chest.. I am not crying over a chest... one person was stuck in that KQ for who knows how long..kept relogging and it didn't work..

soo... that all happened while on Epith..last night anyways...

Edit: I also couldn't use my charms..but that was the least of my problems when I was doing KKP

I started noticing stuff going on yesterday...I'd be in a party one second, and then I'd notice that I wasn't anymore, and nobody could invite me. Inevitably, all commands stopped entirely and I couldn't do anything but run around helpless.

Just a few minutes ago, I was in the lvl 50 Abyss, and things seemed normal...I was killing monsters and junk, and then I noticed that I couldn't pick up drops...THEN noticed that I couldn't use my hp/sp stones, and I was dead-meat. Even when I got to the gatekeeper with just a tiny amount of life left, the commands to get out wouldn't work either, so I died from one of the "???" archers attacks.

I'd appreciate it if this could get fixed asap...

the glitches seem to take a while, then for a few minutes it works fine, then glitches again...
so everyone should stick to lower level areas if they really REALLY wanna play, or just spend time in town chatting until the maintenance is finally started and things get back to normal.

I have problems not only using Hp/SP stone but my potions as well. I can only pick up items for about a minute and then it won't let me. It seems to get worse when I am playing with friends. Also I would "die" and my body would lay there with enemies still attacking me and was unable to warp, select character, or quit. The only way to get out of the game was to force shut down my computer. I was also having issues with my power of love buff. We had to re log in like 5 times to get it. Also I just equipped my mini dragon outfit and it would not let me on my horse for like 10 minutes.

im aware that everyone is trying to get things back in order from the last patch. but ive found something that may help:

most of the glitches appear / happen when an item is involved. maybe adding the other event for summer did something to the game. or it could be a problem with the pick up code.

im no expert coder, but im just throwing out some ideas. as i dont know what was changed, other than the fact that guild price went up 2 one gold, im lost. so i hope i was of some help.

I'm duoing with a friend in 6x dungeon. He's noticed that whenever he uses an item (HP/SP pots) his stones refuse to work. I've noticed sometimes myself on the vice versa, when I use Stones the Pots wont work. Perhaps confirmation on this from others who have or may notice this possibility? I have no problems using stones, but he seems to use pots a bit and always has stoning issues.

From extensive use (I mean Ive been on doing what I usually do on a Friday, which is spamming quests, aoeing, doing DT, etc)..

The stone/pot bug isnt just stones/pot. When it happens (which for now I think it is random), it locks up everything. By that I mean you cant change gears, you cant use scrolls, cant use pots, cant use stones, cant move items, cant split items, cant merge items, cant create items, cant sell or buy from a vendor or NPC, cant insert or take out items or money from storage, cant trade, cant drop items, cant pick up items, cant use any items, cant equip or unequip any item or gear or etc, cant change maps, cant move when you hit MOVE if you die, and you also, finally.. cant relog. If you try to relog, it will get stuck at 1 sec remaining, and you will have to CTRL+ALT+DEL close Fiesta.

Upon relogging, you must wait 1-5 minutes at the server select, then 1-5 minutes at the character select, and however long it takes to load whatever map youre in, granted the map is working. At any point along the way you might get "stuck" or "disconnected" and have to start over again.

Also, upon relogging, if you were in a party, oddly enough, the "glitch" goes away for your party members if you relog. Most of the time I saw this working (as Id get bugged completed since I was tanking, shrooming constantly in and out, and being perm bugged while she regained item pickup status), when I would relog, she would regain her other abilities. But if she relogged, I would still be just as bugged until I relogged.

Oh but if say, you are in DT, running for the exit, find you cant get out, DIE from a mob, then hit move, the mob hits you and you "die" again (even though on your screen you havent moved at all, and even though if you die in DT, its supposed to spit you out in BR) and lose additional exp.

But if you have the "bug" appear, sometimes exiting pt and rejoining will get rid of it for 30-60 seconds, but youll get it even worse. If you shroom or exit/reenter a pt, it tends to graphically bug you (say, you end up with your axe sticking out your chest hunched over halfway through the ground), and then 2-5 minutes later tends to disconnect.

Some players, instead of being bugged, when the "glitch" comes along, get disconnected or binned (you can see this proof by simply staying logged in for the duration of the "bug" and when it goes away, youll see a flood of members on your friendslist login).

All from personal experience of course.

I sure hope they didnt rollback players, because I had used SC during that time, and I had gotten items and such (dont much care about my exp, meh).

And seeing as how Im being told that this "maintenance" that I had to go clean / play Warcraft 3 for, didnt solve a darn thing. D:

Don't waste money, don't waste time, sc items, or exp by trying to grind on this conditions.

Many people have already lost a lot of things so don't go and waste yours too. It would be pointless to do a thread like this if we all go and make same mistakes others made because they didn't know about the glitch/bug. So read what happens and stay away from Fiesta grinding, just hang around and chat.

the glitches are caused by client to server connection lag, at least, thats what i believe. client side, we register that we have performed an action but the lag in connection to the server causes the server to not receive that info, or the returning lag in response from the server causes us to be unable to perform certain actions

Sweet. i was able to grind for about an hour, then restone fine, stopped on my way back to rhinoce (SoD) to harvest shrooms, and "failed to use the HP/SP stone" died and some of my hp seemed to regenerate when i tried to warp and the wereboars kept hitting me. Sweet. now i cant get past the server select screen. Sweet. So glad about the drop rate increase for the weekend, does me lots of good. Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is breaking news, or means anything, but there's this weird thing going on with the log in/log out processes, on my end anyway.

I have instances where I can log into my account, but can't access any of the open servers.

Then I've also had a couple recurring instances where I would try to log out, the timer would hit zero, and I just stare at moving avatars for several minutes afterwards ._.,, Which basically causes me to quit the whole thing and wait a few minutes to get back into the server.

Lag is one thing, having a message come back and say that HP/SP Stone/Potion Failed is another. Not updating can well be lag, but getting a message back saying something didn't work is not.
All of this started with the last patch.
IMNSHO The patch needs to be removed/corrected.

Its everything u cant obtain an item, use sp/hp stones even if u try to obtain a quest it takes long for u to obtain the reward scrolls dont work either but i have survived through the problem the glitch would usually go on and off

I don't know if it has been said, because I really dont want to read 20+ pages, but when you pick, or try to pick up the quest items, it lags you.

This makes it so you can't use your SP/HP stone as well. Not saying this is for everyone, but my friends have told me they are having this problem. I've had this problem before, of course that was just MY computer lag.

I stay in Eldy, but I aoe, and too lazy to get in my shroom, I used an SP stone. I did lag, that sort of lag where everything just clicks into place haha

Well anyway, thats pretty much it, the event quest items, I'm guessing, is what makes the lag, which makes you not use HP/SP stone (if you're about to die most likely) which is the whole problem :D well o.o Sorry if I repeated any information ._.

the problem is with the very server itself... it takes me like 3 minutes to log in (it never does that *has a new laptop* )

the announcements also cause a bug, so the problem isnt really with the items any more. i believe its more "serious". if there was a back up made of the old patch, that should be reinstalled as an upgrade, since this one is really just messing the game up.

i realize that everyone is trying to find the problem to this patch, and not all of the "team" is ready for these emergency fixes, but i speak on behalf of all of the players when we say: "please test your patches before allowing us to play / suffer through them"

we are greatly apreciative that all this hardwork is involved, but to be thorough, would eliminate these problems in the first place. if u need beta testers, heck i would be more than happy to apply, since im looking out for all of fiestas players.

to make it look like something is actually being done about this recent non tested patch when in actuality, just like every other time a patch has rained down a hail of bugs on us, nothing is going to be done about it for at least 3 days as it is the weekend.

those bugs occur so frequently, i can create 10 pages long worth of post just to give you the exact details of each and every bug.

My apologies. Considering it was quite early for me and I had a place to be I didn't read through the thread thoroughly. All I saw was the same topic as several other threads and noticed there was a problem. All of the threads sort of blurred together so I didn't remember which posts were what. If I had the time I would have merged your thread with this one after noticing it now. But I was gone far longer than I had expected due to some personal issues that needed to be taken care of.

My intention was not to cause any disrespect towards you, I was just simply trying to clean up the forums as best as I could in the time allotted, while providing a place for the Staff and Community can come for the issues at hand.

Since I see an emergency maintenance was done, I'm going to go ahead and close this.
