Hey guys, so I've been playing Fiesta for a couple of months now NO PROBLEM. Just today, after the system maintenance, the game lags SO MUCH. I'm on vista home premium, and everythign worked perfectly before. I also recently installed a bunch of gaming hotfixes. I tried a system restore but the problem still resides. I don't know if I got rid of all the hotfixes, though I'm not sure how to take them off. HELP!

System restore should solve the problem, since it reverts back to a previous hard drive setting.

I do, however, believe the lag is server-side.
Meaning: Your computer/Operating system(OS) has nothing to do with the problem, as far as my knowledge goes.

Alot of players have had issues after yesterday night's patch.
All you can do, as far as I can guess, is try to shut down any background programs available, and hope for the best, if it continues, I might avise a reinstalation of Fiesta.

Hope this helps!

I'm not a pro at this but but Lunusastrian said counts.

The problem I could see occuring also could be happening inside your router and modem (Assuming you have those) If you do, access the router (you can do this by going to the brands website, like if you have a linksys, just typoe in linksys at yahoo and you'll find there site, from there it should give you the IP to access your router) From there my knowledge is limited. IF! If you DO have a lynksys, try reseting the linksys via accessing it or simply disconnecting its power cord in the back and using a pen or something to press down and hold the reset button.

Again I cant go into lengthy details WHY this would work, but it has to do something with Linksys's own firewall. Also depends on model of router and so many other diffirent things. Oh but if all else fails, try right clicking ont he Launch icon and go to proporties, then go to compatability and change it to another Windows version. It MIGHT help =/ No idea... just a random thouht

The problem is, I'm going on 7 years of computer experience,
and I'm lagging a lil, having a Belkin router.

I fidn that it's jsut server-side lag at the moment, as hundreds of players are experiencing the same thing.

its the server. i have been playing since CB2 and with every new patc there is so much new lag. but then it starts going away after a few days. you gotta keep logging in and out until your computer can handle the new changes to the game.

hey guys , thanks a lot. I had already tried looking at my router and compatibility issuesm, but I had no luck. So yeah, I did a system restore, and everything works fine now. Thanks!

Great idea, let's completely destroy all the port forwarding that's set up for customized applications like servers and other games that require it! (not.)

It has nothing to do with the firewall, and that's precisely why you can't go into lengthy detail. It doesn't depend on the model of the router either, another misconception. Please do not have people toying with things that you are not qualified to walk them through should things fail to work. It may seem like the right thing to do.. until someone urfs their router config and both them and their parents are clueless, know what happens then? They pay $75.00/hr to get it back how it was before your plan was put into action.
