Well when im in a team, i yell sry team first.
If im not in a team, i say... you want heal/rez? i want team.
Its not free in my world. You want to lvl, so do i. Ill help you if your helping me too.

And i even go out of my way to help when i can its just the right thing to do.:p

It's your job but all job merit pay then find some friend and with them or when you jion a party tell " I'm a god only a cleric who need level and some drop too " after that focus on healing the tank if you die 2 time in 30 minute QUIT them

You don't have to let them walk on you. Just ditch them if you don't like it. ^^ I personally love healing and reving people. If they say thank you afterwards, all the better!

you make it sound like clerics are totally blameless of Kill-Stealing... I on the other hand, have builds of all the classes - I see way too many clerics that are played as selfish little dweebs that cannot be relied on as team players. in a KQ, instead of being a healer- these clowns rush ahead to attack - leaving their party to fend for themselves-
outside KQ- they are some of the biggest KSers in the game. In Echo cave, just watching how they act is appalling- I'd say 85% of the people who play clerics are clueless about how to help others.

Said this before in many threads - there are idiots and jerks in every class. Don't go making generalizations.

That said, I'm sorry you feel like people see you as a servant. Those people just deserve to be ignored. I always say thank you to whatever cleric helps me out, personally. Or I do my best to anyway. Please and thank you go a long way :)

85% is a large number to pull out of thin air like that.

Clerics are noway the largest Kill-Stealer's in the game. If anything, it is tied between Mages and Archers (no offense guys) who can't be bothered to level themselves up. Not to mention the obvious fact that Kill Stealing is nearly impossible with our crappy damage output. How are we going to steal your kills if we can't kill faster than you/your party?

Clerics solo for a reason, they don't need to KS like other classes who cannot solo.

Yes, there are morons out there who rush ahead because they think they are invincible with invincible and heals, let them learn a tough lesson. But don't even go on saying 85% of all Clerics are are clueless.

I know a load of Clerics on Apoline who are not only helpful but friendly as well. May it be low levels or higher levels, 85% of them is not a good estimate. Next time, use 'majority'.

Because the majority of lower leveled clerics do not know how to play their class yet. Some never will, some will learn. Don't be ignorant. The fact is, a lot of newer players have no idea how an MMO works. Especially in a game where Clerics have the ability to solo as well as they do, it throws them onto the fact that they can solo anywhere they want.

Try talking to them nicely, send them a whisper and guide them how to play a Cleric well. If they reject it and cuss you out, oh well, you tried. If you are nice though, asking them to stand back a heal instead with a please, the 'majority', will listen.

I know from experience, I've seen it many times, I've asked of it many times while playing on my alternate character lowbies. To me, it sounds like you just make a generalization about everyone you see right away without giving them a chance.

But that's just my opinion.

Lastly, it is the player behind the class, not the class itself. Stop with the ignorant generalizations.

Regarding KS'ing... at least one on the forums is clueless about how to differentiate a player from a bot. No clue how many are registered, so for the sake of argument I'll say it's about .02% of the forums are clueless as to spot bots. (percentages are fun!) As for your 85%, I assume you've tested this with 100 different clerics, on at different times at least, if not more? (You'd had to have, for your % to work out to an odd number.)

ya, a lot of people abuse clerics. ill randomly heal and rez if im not buisy or if it doesnt affect my health and such. if im in a party and they're not sharing drops i leave, specially in the higher level areas where i have to use a lot of sp to keep the tanks alive. also, when im in a party, i want to rest to regain sp, us clerics can burn through a LOT of sp, specially with multiple tanks.

as far as ks'ers. bs. we dont do enough damage to really steal a kill. ive tried to steal kills from bots, its hard. hahaha. its much easier for a mage or archer, or even fighter, to step in and take the kill from us. bots are a much bigger prob, it just happens that a lot of bots are clerics because they can heal themselves.
