If there is one??.....

I am wondering if the questions you answer at the end of the Pet Quest determine the outcome i.e. what kind of pet you hatch. So far I have completed the Quest twice and recorded my responses and the type of pet hatched in order to determine whether or not you can choose what type of pet to hatch.

My First Pet


1. Do you think red looks good on me, or do you like my old colour? (like red / old colour)
2. While I was sleeping, what were you doing? (adventuring / sleeping)
3. If you equip the incubator something good happens. Did you equip it? (favorite item / didn't like it)
4. Will you be disappointed in me, no matter what I become? (of course not! / depends)

Hatched: White Kitty
Hatched on a Male Warrior

My Second Pet

I answered the questions the exact same way and got the exact same pet, I will be hatching a 3rd pet in the next 2 days, I will answer yet again the exact same way.

I would like to hear feedback, thoughts on this. Also if you are about to hatch a Pet please post your answers and the outcome (what you hatched) here. Please do not post old information about answers that you thought you might have done or I think i got this pet so on and so on. Just post recent information.

I am interested to see if we cannot identify a pattern to hatching pets, or if it is a truly random system.

Interesting topic force, I heard there is a certain way to answer in Xenepic to recieve the pet that you want, perhaps it was left in? Let us know how it goes.

I answered the questions the same on both my quests and with the same answers as yours above and I got two parrots. Either it's fixed per different character or just good/ random luck.

It is possible that the class of the character or the sex may have something to do with it, interesting... I will update with the sex/class of the characters hatching the pets. What class was your character that hatched them?

Hmmm, that doesnt help alot, now i have more variables to track LOL but it just might very soon ^^ my next pet will be hatched on a Female Mage, I will answer the same way! If I get a Parrot then we might be on to something! Nice very nice. Thanx for the Info, keep it coming peeps.

i don't think there is a set code, cuz my latest pet i picked all answers on the left side, *just trying to breeze it. and got a fatty. 2 pets prior to that, i remembe picking random ones, some on the left some on the right, and still got a fatty.

And also u know how the egg's colors are different sometimes whe they re are about to change? Well my firs fatty was red, and my second fatty was blue. So that knocks that idea out too

If you read through the pet quest guide.. Its really long.. Anyway, people have done research like this already. And came to the conclusion that it is completely random. BUT they could have changed things with out us even knowing.. But I would suggest you read some of that long guide and see what others have to say :) Its interesting to say the least. In Xenepic it is fixed based on your character and if you are male or female I believe.. I can't remember.. but do know that. Its all in that other guide :)

Very interesting topic im doing the pet quest now I will write down my answers and post them here when im done. I also know some friends who are doing the pet quest I'll try to convince them to write down their answers too.

[EDIT]btw this pet is probably gonna be turned in to a mount so if u want me to answer the question in a specific way to make it easier to study the pet quest code. Then post the answers u want me to use here :D [EDIT]

My first pet I got I answered the same and I got a White Kitty with my own Male Knight (Before he became Warrior) Considering that I'm still on mine and it's been about 5 months since I started due to not finding leathers x_x I was told I'd be getting a Fatty, but if I get something else with the same setup I will let you all know.

Btw, anyone figure out the one for the Fairy? :3

There can easily be other variables that we are not sure of like the date, month, person's level, etc. My last pet was a White Cat and the previous pet with the same answers (just clicked through) was a Bow Wow.

I was told or was a rumor has something to do with where your training at the time your "growing" your pet and the answers.

I answered ALL of the "LEFT" options on a LVL 46 MALE Squire, got a purple/magenta egg with a flower on it and hatched a Seahorse.

My first 2 pets were both Fatty's: random answers, on a lvl 101 MALE SIN. Both were purple/magenta eggs with a flower on it.

I'm hatching another one hopefully by next week, and I'll post up my results. *crosses fingers for an elephant* ^_^

Ok i finnally finished the pet quest on my lvl 62 male sout
all answers to the left:
I like red
i went adventuring
favorite item
of course not
I got a purple colored egg with a flower and opened it right after the last cooldown ended and got a hippocampus(sea horse) I hope this helps

Ok, Lvl 46 Male Squire, purple/magenta egg with a flower in the middle....hatched ANOTHER Fatty, lol. That's 3 Fatty's @_@...coincidence?

Perhaps, WHERE you hatch it counts? I hatched in Essene near the transporter.

I've come to speculate that MAYBE the length of fast or slow you take doing the pet quest makes a difference....I mean, the times I got my FATTY's (all 3) took approximately 1 week and a half to hatch. Just speculating....

(Pink flower egg by the way. but i think you get that same egg color if you say those 4 answers.)

Sorry it took so long to get back to this. I hatched the 3rd pet on a Female Mage and answered all the questions the same way as I had before and this time I hatched a Yellow Kitty.

I am wondering if the pet you hatch the most has anything to do with your actual account on outspark. It has to be more than coincidence that Roku keeps getting Fatty and that I keep getting Kitty. There are other players that I have talked to that have said the same thing happens to them, I got 2 Seahorse or 2 Elephant.


Im starting the pet quest again on my Warior and will post the results, this time im answering everything in the second column of answers and at this point I have a strange felling that my next pet will say Meow.

i Answered my questions as you answered above the exact same time 2 times on my male rogue and both times i got fairy!

I hatched a white kitty on my female paladin a few days ago, I answered all the answers on the left side, and did about 3-4 cool downs a day, hatched in Essene, and afked in jot or essene for the cooldowns, I don't think I even set foot in a map to train during the quest.
