I've looked through the resources in the game, but I don't quite get guilds, academies, and especially apprentices. What's a guild for? How does it work? What's an academy for? How's it different? Can you be part of both? How do you become someone's apprentice? How do you take on an apprentice? What are the benefits?

Thanks

- Guilds are groups of people who level together, share stuff, or just wear the same green name above their heads. Guilds are what the members make them.
- You cannot be a member of an academy and a guild on the same character.
- Guilds can war, academies cannot.
- Academy members receive rewards for leveling between 10-40. (The rewards are set up by the guild, so not all guilds will give rewards for leveling.)
- Academies are best for players who are new and/or who are not yet level 40.
- Anyone can join an academy, one must be invited to a guild.
- Your best bet is to go to a guild manager in Roumen, Elderine, or Uruga, check out the guild academy rankings and join an academy that's one of the top 10. They tend to give out the best rewards.

To join an academy, if you're at the guild manager, click "Academy" and click "Enroll." Otherwise, hit F, G, or the community button at the bottom right, click the Guild Academy tab, click "Enroll" and type in the name of the academy you want to join.

With the monarch system, the apprentice gets premium items and a weapon at 10, 20, 30, and 40 (according to the in-game quest, it's up to 60, but that needs to be verified). The master is supposed to receive 10% of what the apprentice spends at an NPC, but that's not working.

To become an apprentice, you can hit F, G, or click the Community tab and click Monarch, then at the bottom click the Invite Master and type in the person's name. If you're close enough to the person, you can right-click on the character and select "Invite Master."

i will confirm apprentice only goes to lv40. the other versions go to 60, but this is os, and they are cheap :P

you can be a master to anyone that is 10+ lvs below you, once a person is within 10 lvs they will automatically be deleted from apprenticeship.

when someone in between the lvs of 10-40 lvs up, they contribute to guild buff and the guild's weekly ranking points. the higher lv the person is when they lv the more buff/points they give.
guild buff is automatically turned on as long as you have so time remaining on it, he more academy people lv, the longer guild buff you have. it boosts damage/Mdamage/defense/Mdefense by 5%. you get this buff if you are in the guild or in the academy. staying in guild after lv40 will give no buff or points.

the guild weekly rank points places you against other guild academies. the guild with the highest points will get reward of a 10% guild buff for the academy master and anyone close to him/her. 2nd place is 7%. the week ends on Thursday around 10pm pst.

also the academy master can be passed around to anyone that is council or admin in the guild, and the master of guild can reset academy master to himself/herself. The academy master also has the power to warp to anyone in the academy. you cant warp to kqs, abyss, and you can go in dungeons but that is against rules and they still dont fix it....

My guess is OnsOnSoft will eventually give us the lvl 60 rewards because of the most recent patch and the quests (that you can pick up at any level, btw) in Roumen.

Almost always. XD When the cap was 89, I had an 84 archer as my apprentice. He's still there. Too bad I can't rake in that dough. ;~;
