The 1h sword was designed for use with a shield. It has fast attack and reasonable damage. If wileding 2 of them (effectively doubling attack speed and damage with skills) were possible why then would anyone use a 2h sword or axe, which have so much a slower attack that they would be dealing less damage?
No, dual wielding should not be possible for fighters...perhaps for clerics, who kill incredibly slow, but not for fighters.

hmm.....dual-wield 1h huh? It would look cooler if fighter can dual wield 2h swords or axes rather than 1h swords

Good point.....certain people prefer faster attack rate over coolness and strength of the weapon

I wouldn't suggest that.....because if clerics dual wield for more damage input.....there will be more clerics who solo and less support clerics (plus.....girls would look more manlier and less sexier as they need more muscle to lift 2 hammers up)

All classes should be able to solo to some extent; clerics are unfairly almost forced to party to level for most of the game because they take 3x longer -or more- to kill an enemy than other classes can kill 2.

No one said they had to be a cleric, much like end pure fighters. Fortunantly we were gifted with axes, clerics have to really desire to heal because of the slow lvling rate.

Most became clerics because they liked to heal, yes. But there was no disclaimer on the character creation screen "Oh by the way, you take 3x longer to kill enemies than the others, have no aggro skill so you have to walk into mob gangs to get quest mobs and no AoE so you can only kill 1 at a time". The other classes' drawbacks were fairly obvious; this was my first MMO and I knew a mage would be weak in def, and archers would have high eva (though I didn't know they'd have the ability to kite maps solo) and fighters would be weak to magic. I kinda figured clerics would be weaker in attack, yes; but I didn't know it would be to this extent...

fighters shouldnt be able dual because as orchid said..who would use axes and 2h's. also why talking about clerics? this is in fighters thread...

It could make sence if you decreased the speed of the 2 1h swords but then that doesnt make sence cause should 2 weps hit faster then 1? Maybe if we got to chose between shield or sword where only stats effected total damage but WAY too much dmg for 2 1hs comming at you

thats debaitable. Monsters like GoC when they have high dmg and LONG stuns, sometimes pots and stones arent enough. Cleric can heal between stuns. Problem sloved. Ive seen level 65 mages pull agro and die 1 hit from GoC`s stun attack and im sure archers wouldnt do much better.
PS: dont forget a tanker is only as good as the cleric healing him/her

I think thats a really bad idea. Before giving fighters a 4th weapon how about giving all of the other classes a 3rd? It seems to me that this would be incredibly pointless because it almost seems like it would just take the place of the 2 handed sword which no one uses.
Even if all of fiesta wanted this, it still wouldn't happen just because it would take alot of designing and work.

And lol... it's an idea, it'll never happen and if I were smarter I'd come up with ideas like this just to troll everybody who sees these posts & immediately starts QQing :p
