I got to level 5, and I'm getting quite bored of this game already.

What I ask is this: What is the point of gearing/leveling up in this game? Are there raids or PvP?

The point of this game is to just have fun. You make your character stronger so that you can help others, likewise, others may help you.

Other than that I can't give you a reason that'll make you fall head-over-heels. This is just like any other MMORPG, you develop your character, explore the maps, and play with people.

I am a retired World of Warcraft player. In that game, the object was to get to level 80, gear up, and progress through raids of varying difficulties. If you wished to PvP, you got benefits such as access to different types of weapons/armor.

You're saying this game runs off of that philosophy as well? Are PvE and PvP in this game two different aspects or are they combined as one?

it depends, it can be different because u have the Free Battle zones that you can PVP in and u also have the PVP kingdom Quest. They can be the same because you can enter the Abyss which is a PVP zone but there are monsters there can u can fight to get exp.(which is at a higher rate then normaly due to the fact of the chance of getting PK)

The point of this game is to meet people and enjoy their digital company as you grind. PvP is pointless unless you have cash shop. When you're capped, you're bored.

There are raids, but it's essentially a one guild per server thing.

Finding gears is kinda fun.

It's a fun game, though, if you enjoy getting to know people.

Just have fun.

What keeps me playing Fiesta is the goals I have for my character. I like to meet people but I'm not very social online so I know a few XD

When I was bellow level 20 I wanted to be 20, so I could become a "WizMage". When I was 20 I wanted to have the PVP skills. Then I wanted to be 49 to have the Magic Blast skill. Then I wanted to be 57 to have all the new skills for fire, ice and lightning. Then I wanted to be 60 to become Enchanter and use Frost Nova and Drain Mind. Then to be 65 to be able to kite with Magic Blast... now I want to be 67 for Inferno, and 70 for the armor.

It's a never ending story, unless you get to the level limit, and it's fun. I actually take pics of my achievements, like a Fiesta-life biography.

Hm...set a goal for yourself xD. Take the initiative and just get there, any way you can. I'm not good at this, 'cause i get impatient and start to level lazily so i just make money and socialize instead lol.

The game Fiesta has no objective other than to level your character.
It has no objective like a regular video game does,
There is no save the princess scenario or recover the secret documents and stop the bad guys.
You just muck around doing whatever you want pretty much.
You can concentrate on leveling your character or just hanging out with your friends and / or meet new people.

There are guilds that you can join and guild wars to be fought or you can make your own guild and be the king.

It is pretty open ended.
One thing that it doesn't have is rampant PVP on all maps like other similar games have and you don't drop prized items that you worked hard on when some other hooligan goofball PKs you (I hate that in other games).

The only place that you will get unwillingly PKed in the game is the Abyss and that is still a much argued about issue as you can actually lose experience points there.

It is a nice game and I have been playing it since closed beta.

It remains a different kind of game even though some malcontent people who like cloned games are trying to change it in a way that mimics every other game.

I like Fiesta because it is different.

Well I will say just like all gemes there is no point to it. Like playing chess, it is moving pieces of wood or bone, there is no point to it. All it is, is just entertainment provided to you for your amusement on your free time.

Of course like all game there is technique, skill and strategy you can use as well. Be it PVP or PVE, you win the game against something or somebody.

And like all game, you play with friends. Now that friend in this game is probably not your next door neighbour, they can be just anywhere in the world.

Applause, cheers, invisible +rep, and two thumbs up! You saved me the trouble of saying it myself.

It's a game- aside from amusing yourself and using up some time (whether you consider that time well-spent or "just wasted" is really irrelevant) there is no point.

Or, as the late Frank Zappa said with regard to why he wrote his frequently-offensive lyrics, "I do it to amuse myself. If somebody else likes it, that's a bonus. If not, then blow it out your [censored]"

Let's be really honest here: Is there a CRPG, whether MMO or not, out there that can't be fairly defined as being pretty well all about: Gain levels and hoard loot, to become more powerful, so as to gain more levels and hoard more loot more easily? Usually (but not always) with some story woven into it to help hide the harsh truth of it being all about the loot and levels?

Every other difference, however subtle or blatant, is just some minor spin on that basic theme. *shrug* Raiding? Gaining levels and loot in a (semi-) organized group. Guilds? Groups devoted to collectively gaining levels and loot.

Whether any one game is good or bad is really nothing more than whether or not you, personally, like the particular spin that game puts on gaining loot and levels- and how you like/don't like the community interaction options available in online multiplayer versions of loot/level-gaining games.
