When the black box appears with all the initializing, appears the message in another box: Xenclient.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I've seen this problem in vista and no one seems to have solved the problem. But I'm running on Windows XP.
What can I do to solve this problem?

Ahh sorry about that. I don't have any experience with Windows 7.

Also I do not know if it officially supported. It is not listed on the system requirement page.

I might recommend submitting an official help ticket while you are trying to find support here in the forums and ask official support about this.

It's alright. You posted everything this time I have the information I needed

*As a side note*
Anyone having this or other videocard related problems please do the following and post your results here:

http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71022

A CSRs is compiling a list of videocards that do and do not work properly with Sos.

To collect the information do the following: (Xp/Vista)

1. Click start
2. Click Run
3.Type dxdiag
4. Press enter
5. Click no
6. Click save all information in the bottom right hand corner
7. Click desktop on the left
8. Click save
9. Click exit close the dxdiag dialogue box
10 Open the dxdiag text file on the desktop
11. Copy and paste paste whats listed in the System Information area and the Display Devices area into your post. Explain the error you are getting.

Moving along:

After you changed from wired to wireless and logged into sos were any updates performed?
Have you tried switching back to a wired connection test if this somehow caused a problem?
( Even though it shouldn't and probably didn't. )

Q.Q Sorry to hear about that. I am not a CSR or an official support rep for Outspark. But we'll see if we can get the problem resolved. Of course you may have to submit an official help ticket and get support from them.

Because this happened after an update which is a common occurance, I would recommend performing a completely clean reinstallation of SOS.

I realize this is long, Painful and requires alot of work. But if you are patient I think we might be able to come to a resolution for this problem and if not we can learn alot about the problem and provide quality information to Sos technicians.

Performing these steps will largely create a more black and white picture of the the causes surrounding this problem. This will reduce about 85% of the causes for a problem of this nature.

Before you begin, Download the game using the best internet connection or computer system you can.

In other words, If you have a laptop and it's connected wirelessly, Download the game using a computer that is directly connected to the internet. Or connect your laptop directly to the modem for the best and most reliable connection. If this is not possible for some unknown reason, Then make sure the laptop is stationary, remains stationary throughout the game's download and the signal strength is as strong as possible before attempting to download the game.

Download the latest version of the Sos client

1. Download the Latest game client if you don't have the LATEST version already saved on your computer. Do not install the game from an old one. This is very important. doing so can void the validity of this entire process.

Located at:
http://solstice.outspark.com/support/download

Click the blue Download button, Click save, Click desktop on the left hand side, Doubleclick the program to begin the download.

=============

Restart into a clean environment:

(After the latest Sos client is done downloading and has been saved onto the desktop. The installation will start automatically. When it
does, click cancel.)

1. Click start
2. Click Run
3. Type msconfig
4. Press enter
5. Choose selective startup
6. Uncheck Load system services
7. Uncheck load startup Items
8. Click the services tab
9. Scroll to locate Windows Installer
10. Checkmark Windows Installer
11. Click okay in the bottom left hand corner
12. Click restart

Remove Sos in the clean envoironment

1. Click start
2. Click run
3. Type appwiz.cpl
4. Click ok
5. Scroll to locate Secret of the solstice
6. Click it
7. Click remove
8. Click yes
9. Click finish
10. Restart the machine to ensure complete removal of SOS

Rename the following folder by adding the number 1 to the end of the folder name:
c:\Program Files\Outspark\Secret of the Solstice\

Reinstall Sos to a new directory on the hard drive:

1. Doubleclick the Solstice-01_32_0000.exe file on the desktop
2. Click next
3. Click change
4. Change the installation path: C:\Program Files\Outspark\Secret of the Solstice to
5. C:\Program Files\.Outspark\.Secret of the Solstice

( Notice the periods, This forces the installation to re-write all new values for this
installation. Many times during a reinstallation the program is reinstalled to the same location, this should not be done and is not recommended.)

Restart the computer in normal mode and attempt to run Sos

1. Click start
2. Click Run
3. Type msconfig
4. Press enter
5. Choose normal startup
6. Click ok
7. Click restart
8. Attempt to launch Sos.

If the same problem occurs.

According to the information you posted, you have a GeForce4 MX 440 Video card
Download and save the latest videocard driver to your desktop from here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71_2.html

Before changing or modifying drivers and other important system components. A restore point should be created in Windows, So any changes that cause an undesired effect can be easily undone.

Create a system restore point:

1. Click start
2. All Programs
3. Accessories
4. System Tools
5. Click System Restore
6. Click Create a restore point
7. Click next
8. Type Video Card Driver
9. Click create
10. Click close

Uninstall your current videocard drivers:

Check the Add / Remove control panel to see if there is an entry for the videocard model you saw earlier or the videocard manufacturer's name. You will probably see something like "Nvidia Drivers"

1. Click start
2. Click run
3. Type appwiz.cpl
4. Click ok
5. Scroll to locate either the name of the video card manufacturer or the model of your videocard.
6. Click it
7. Click remove and follow the instructions, This should remove any driver software and should also also remove the videocard driver. Restart your computer to complete the removal. When you reboot the screen will be very large. This is normal.

Install / Reinstall the videocard driver

1. Run the driver installation saved on the desktop
2. Restart after the installation is finished to ensure the system has been updated completely
3. Attempt to run Sos again and reproduce the problem

If this does not work or the system is in a worse state than when you first started, Restore the system to before you changed it:

Perform a system restore:

1. Click start
2. All Programs
3. Accessories
4. System Tools
5. Click System Restore
6. Restore my computer to an earlier time
7. Click next
8. Choose Video Card Driver
9. Click next
10. Click next, The system will restart

Post your findings please.
