I hate em. I think everyone hates them. They're really annoying, especially in towns when you're trying to communicate with someone. Should I just report them all? Or leave them alone? Could you guys help me by screenshotting them? [push printscreen by the F12 button]

This...is a real no-brainer. Why would ANYONE think they aren't annoying? Sure, you can ignore them...but think of the decrease in server lag if they're gone!

.....Ummm.....I love bots, they're my friends. I sit there and talk to them and they don't say anything bad back to me, they are sooo nice. Sometimes they even give me advice to go buy gold on some website for real money! I don't know why you guys think they're annoying, you guys are silly...
(If anyone thinks I'm serious, they're retarded :))

I don't want to take this too far off topic, but : Why are there so many of spammers? I was must have been one of the first to log on after the recent Bijou reboot. The streets were deserted in Roumen... but it was only a few seconds before the shoutbox showed the spammers were already active. :(
I know the GM's have a lot of other things to do but I would personally like to see them take a more active role in ridding us of this problem. Surely the SysAdmins, GM's Developers know which characters are spouting the advertising. There is a swear filter so why not a filter for the spammers website. Is it so easy to hack the system that the spammers can seemingly do this with impunity? It is beginning to look like OutSpark profits from the spam in some way 8-|. I do hope I am not right.
GM's Devs etc: Please rid us of the spam. I love the game, but it makes Fiesta less fun :-/

the gms have already know about the spamming bots since they started. people have been complaining to gMS regarding the gold bots for how long. if Gms can ban people's accs, then they should be able to ban the bots acc. since the bots continue to spam, i think one reason why the gms allow it, is becuase the owners of the bots pay money to outspark to advertise?

Spammers.. as in those who got defeated by the forum search tool, and started yet another "do you think bots and spammers are annoying?" thread?
(Not meant to be inflammatory, I actually think when you log in it should take you right to the search page for sanity reasons.)

The gold spammers and farmers actually tend to have more than one i.p. address Im guessing around 20 + if they can afford to sit around all day and play games just to sell the game currency and power leveling I'd bet they have enough money to host mutiple cheap ip adresses which the gms cant always find out EVERY i.p they have because Im sure as soon as ones banned another pops up may be the same host. but ya I've discussed this to a WoW GM and he explained it to me somewhat the same as I am now. they dont just have one i.p. they have many. hard to ban many annonymous ip's dont you think?

Do you realize we have a limited GM staff, and that they don't live in-game 24/7? They've promptly acted on and removed every bot that I've seen reported as of late.
As for accusing Fiesta of taking cash bribes for spamming reasons, that's quite harsh considering that you know nothing of Outspark in any fashion. The initial seed money was already raised for the dev, and payment of initial crew. If you did a bit of research on the company of Outspark, you would see that they have strong ties to many capable of financial backing and don't need to take bribes from punks to make it work - this isn't Runescape.
Citing:
"Outspark, a company with offices in Seoul, Korea and San Francisco that hopes to help publish Asian multiplayer online games in English, said it has raised a $4 million first round of financing from Altos Ventures and Doll Capital Management (DCM)."

Yup, I noticed this - I was going to chime in on the post about multiple IPs as well, but the method running through my head would go to dev, and not to the public as I'm sure we have botrunners who sit on the forums and utilize a passive sonar-like approach to glean information :D

I highly suspect one of them is having issues with the install... the stats put up when they copy/pasted... is showing their "computer" with 40GB of ram (yes, you read that right, mid-size business server-like) and an insane swap file. We'll find out.

That's probably my fault, I am not all here and having thought collisions combined with lack of coffee while multitasking at work. Till I can re-formulate that post, it's best ignored lol

Thank you Summit for your kind and measured response (below) to my question and I'm sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Real life caught up with me :-/ . The very fact that this appears to have touched a raw nerve in your company (judging by Mr. Xanthros message to m1stuhlayzee's comment on my post) actually gives me some hope that the problem is being tackled. However, this is a highly visible and annoying issue (just look at the poll results) and as a consequence the credibility of the game operators is being damaged.
Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying you are not doing anything. From your post I am sure that you are all very busy. It is simply that we, the users, don't always see the result or action of your endevours.
I want this post to be constructive not destructive, so please consider my humble suggestion: -
Since the GM's are busy give a handful of selected or volunteer users the ability to kill the spammers in game. Better still, create special account just for this purpose. A police account if you like with a highly visible uniform.
Yes, I know you are doing something like this already, but it not done regularly enough to be visible to most users, and, secondly giving power to the users, might even create a sense of community.
This is of course not a final solution, just a very visible action to save face and show the players that something is being done and such behaviour will not be tolerated. The real solution will come via the developers and system administrators. People are no longer satisfied with "impossible to ban every IP address", even if this is the 'official' company answer given to this problem.

i hate spammers and botters, i deal with spammers by being in hide mode then with bots .... im a hawk archer so if a cleric bot tries to hit an enemy i hit it first then lure the bot to a spot where theres no spawning of monsters... exercise this technique if a bot is giving you problems
