Help W/ Skill Empowerment

I'm a full END, 1H Sword & Shield fighter. I was just wondering what skills I should empower, thanks. :)

Oh, and another thing... say I enhance Slice and Dice [1] and I get Slice and Dice [2], will the enhancement carry over? Thanks.

Advance some dammage for starters and save points for later on, yes the bonus will carry over through all lvls of the skill.
