Define hack.

Using a technique or sequence of commands to force a system do something that it was not designed to do.

Gaining access to a system through a back door vulnerability in the security protocol.

Most hackers are not bad hence hacking is not necessarily a bad thing.
It just depends on how it is used.

I honestly don't believe someone would write a code to get a password for a game.

i believe that those who are 'hacked', gave their password to someone and they shared it with others who may have taken their account.

Solution: Don't give your pass away. I know its hard, really.

go to gold sites or scam sites and enter you info you will become account stolen, not hacked

you give your info out and the person steals it, its stolen not hacked again

people just use the "hacked" wrongly

So dont give out your info or give your info to anywebsite other then the trusted OS loing to froums and store and you wont have to worry about getting hacked

They get hacked cuz they put their gear in shops for 1 gem just to show it off. Some hacker sees it and goes "damn, I want that," then hacks the account.

People don't really get hacked, they rather get scammed cause they gave out all their information on their account.

Don't trust people in game. They are pixels >< In real life friend maybe you show them your character a bit that's okay but over teh net? Even if it's your best net friend, DO NOT TRUST THEM. Greed gets the best of ppl.

Correct, many people gets "scammed", not "hacked". Make sure when you enter your password on our website, it says "outspark.com" in the URL and make sure not to give your passwords out to anyone.

Scan your computer for Keyloggers. You may have visited a site and gotten one. These will record all sorts of information, including passwords.

Also, change the passwords for any Instant Messengers you may use. These can also be compromised and endanger your Outspark account. Change your Outspark password as well.

Make sure your passwords are strong passwords. Try not to use anything simple. Misspell words, add numbers, symbols, etc. Anything too simple can make it quite easy for someone to break through.

Also, please try not to multi-post. It can be considered a form of spamming and can make it a bit difficult for those to follow the thread.

Actually, this is quite simple.

Most of the people who get "hacked" gave out their log in information. Either to a friend or to their little brother or something along those lines.

The little brother then gets annoyed because you didn't do the dishes and gets back at you for it by giving out your account information.

That is not a hack, it's user stupidity. :p

NEVER give out your log in information to ANYONE. Not your mom, your siblings, your spouse, your dog, or even to Outspark itself (they won't ever ask for it). Do not write it down in your journal (someone might read it).

The trick is to be seriously paranoid. So I repeat: NEVER give out your log in information to ANYONE.

XD I like your paranoid point. And I think it's true if you want to prevent from being scammed or hacked.

Focusing on the crux of the issue here:

For emphasis, and also to quote for truth:

No one will intentionnaly hack you over this game. Keylogging and sharing your acc information on the other hand is definatly something you should be aware of.

4 simple tips :

1) Don't share your account info.
2) Get firefox and noscript plugin.
3) When you type in your info at the site, make sure the url checks out.
4) Have an up to date virus scanner and spyware detector.

This should keep you safe from 99% of the things that might compromise your account.

Thanks for the support to my main point. :D

I would also like to point out that if you buy from gold spammer websites, you deserve to lose your account.

I'm going to close this thread because we really shouldn't allow this type of conversation.

But I hope everyone remembers to never give out your personal information to anyone no matter how close you are to them.

Also, never download anything that you are unsure of.
