First of all, the event was far to laggy. I couldn't even move the screen half the time and kept getting like 20m kickbacks.
The biggest thing that set me off and is the reason I left the event was I died in CP when there was a mob spawn with everyone still going. I was too laggy to spam heal and save my dairyaire and died. At first I was like, "Okay. I died. No biggy." Then I looked at my sys log for Fiesta and saw the dreaded 5xxxx EXP lost.

I've noticed that no matter how great your system is, lag always comes when there are too many people in one area. Pressing Z helps, sometimes. But it's no fun to play alone.
I've did this "Fight a Boss" event once with my in-game husband. He has a fair gaming laptop and he still gets laggy :/.
Sometimes, I like to participate in events, but when it gets too laggy I just leave another.
Sorry for your xp loss :/. What lvl were you by the way? 5,000 xp doesn't sound that bad, compared to 100k something when you are lvl 70...or was it 1 million? Not sure. :(

50 K! Sorry, I misread. I kept dying because of lag during those lvls, but followed this lvling guide for 60-70 on Fiesta Fan. It was tedious to follow it and it took longer than I thought, but it helped me through. Try it and see if it works for you. ^^

Normally they're fun. Like in Fight-A-Boss there isn't exp lost. It just kinda killed the event knowing I would keep dieing and not-so-slowly dwindle away my EXP...

There was a thread before saying that the older events were more fun, GMs did this and that. Then there was another player that noted that the community is a lot larger now, making it difficult for everyone to make these fun events. This is now, officially, true.
Sorry you didn't have fun at the event. We'll make sure not to do the same mistake again.

I could've had fun but there wasn't even a warning "You die in this event you will loose EXP" Personally I found it unfair how I got 3hitted by what seemed to have been a KKP mob at lvl 64 and have a resulting loss of EXP... I liked the fight a boss more due to the fact that even if I died 10000000 times I still didn't loose exp.

Well, normally the road from Elderine to Uruga isn't EXP lost free...
Our event ad also stated there would be monsters,
I'm sorry you feel unfair about this event.
I probably won't do it again.

I know it isn't normally EXP loss free but I also normally don't have a problem dealing with the mobs there. Actually I don't even agro them anymore. Its the mobs that were a lot higher than me that caused a problem. I knew there would be monsters but thinking they would have the same effect as they do in Boss Fights I didn't expect to loose exp. I'm sure it would be a fun event but most people's computers can't handle the lag from 100+ people standing in a single screenwidth. Maybe have it KQ like with more than one and the ability to only join one. That way people shouldn't have problems completing or lagging (of course it would be something like 100 people in at once). I love it when the GM's take the time to throw an event. It isn't part of your job to do this for us. I just think sometimes there could be more done for the enjoyment of everyone.

Well, I hope you'll look forward to my next spontaneous event! It's nice having you around. :)

And I like being around :) I don't get bored easy since me and one of my best IG friends have the same kind of game strategy. We try nto to level as fast as possible. Heck, we spent around 2 hours doing NOTHING just sitting and talking wile trying not to get pwn'd by trumpies in FoS. And so far I have loved your events (I'm upset about this one but I'll get the exp back so no waorries) and that you take the time to do them. Your boss fight was really fun for me. Sitting there trying to keep the manks healed and watching the chat go by as people complain our there non exp loss deaths.
