Everywhere i go there always an archer come ks me or my party and do like the spot was his and entire without care of who was here or respect anything while we quest, do lic .... that annoying i just think too the archer kinda over powerded with nature mist skill i can aoe all mob in burning rock with my archer lvl 61 easily that hillarious

Wow... Normally its a mge/fighter rant thread. 10/10 for originality. 0/10 for basically saying they're rude and inconsiderate for using their skills and doing what their class is designed to do.

I only kill steal when I honestly don't believe that person is going to make the kill in the first place. Like today I was in Uruga and saw a Lv4x Archer running into town with 2 Orks kicking her butt so I used Nature's Mist to steal Aggro and solo'd them both stationary (she thanked me afterwards), and I also defend shops being attacked by monsters. This is pretty much the only time I steal aggro from someone that I'm not partied with.

As for other Archers, well I must admit that I've seen this happen before. I was in Goblin Camp with my Mage and this happened ALOT when I was trying to solo Goblin Captains and Werebears. It's not that much of a problem on Teva(my main server) from what I've seen but lately I've seen more Archers KS than any other class. Fighters usually just take aggro of everything around the area and hog it for themselves, but that's not the same (though it is more annoying IMO).

As far as Nature's Mist goes, it does make Archers overpowered in terms of leveling up but it doesn't really help much in PvP without a speed scroll. It's kinda two sided. Overpowered in some ways, less than average in other ways.

Well, that'snot really archers archers archers... It's the personnality of the guy/girl behind the screen kinda x_x Mages can ks the whole map with scrolls & cleric o_o, and i would say they kills faster than archers :s

yeah i admit it i've seen alot of archers ks but to be honest no more so than any other class ingame, like someone already stated it depends what sort of person you are. i don't think archer are over powerd at all, each class has it's designed strengths and weaknesses to be honest id say the most over powerd characters are mages and fighters but everyone has there own opinions

you dont ever think about this, but theres a delay in mist of about 1 sec from firing to animation hitting the target. WHy cause its a ranged attack. You could be the one doing the ksing in all honesty. Seriously it wouldnt surprise me at all if you are a fighter.

OMG QQ i have devatate but i cant kite more mobs than an Archer. Yeah well its called Balance learn to play your class as intended and leave the kiting archer alone.

Well archer are natorious to shoot something right in front of you noise which you already targeted standing in front and ready to hit. =.= Don't like archer too much in general.

I think it is there way of sticking it to the classes the pick on them in PvP KQ. Archers don't have a stun so they're easier for a mage to killl without the worry of getting walked over. And who DOESN'T a fighter kill? Unless of course they're on a team...

what about the arche come in flaming mine and kite all the spot alone and kill so slow or even in rhinoce ,gargoyle or muds ... and they do even though a party already aoeing there that not fun

No lower. There is also a fighter in his team who die instant when he takes the aggro. So he just keep on hitting mara while I tank all the damage and need to heal in between. All he need to do is free swing. Because I worked more than half the damage, the drop is mine but not the kill count. :mad:

What about the Mage/Fighter/Cleric party that comes in the aforementioned spots where the Archer/Cleric duo is already kiting and just starts aoeing everything they can pull before the archer gets to it. Spot "sharing" goes both ways, since theres a rule against spot claiming.

Its about decency, when I party with people we'll just find a different spot if the one we want is taken. Other people would rather try to force you out of a spot and make both parties suffer with poor exp rates. Its not the class, its the player.

still a archer can aoe easily everything around and keep running *kite* and kill so slow the spawn time is slower .. im able to kill all the rhinoce spot with my archer 61 no +9 eq and nothing only a x-bow and aim scroll only at using natural mist skill and dont even get it one time lol

You know calisto lol that is the funniest statement i have ever heard out an ANK member, and im not saying that you wouldnt go else where if another party was occupying the spot, its just i have known ANK members since what? trumpies/stonies lol then the 89 cap? lol none, and i mean absolutely none had that mentality, and once again i do mention, i am not saying you wouldnt, but it was a bit of a laugh. =P

what annoys me is when ppl bring mobs close to archer whilst the archer is kiting and thier mobs get hit by NM because they stupidly raninto the archers area and then the had the niceness to call it kill stealing >< what ppl have to be aware of when they see an archer kiting a spot is to not run thier mobs into the archers path.

if your mobs get aoed via NM because u got to close its not the archers fault but yours, so also be aware of that issue as it happens alot and the archer will get the back wash for it when wasnt thier fault.

Fair enough if your away from archers kiting path and that archer still aoes the mobs u have then by all means get annoyed and tell them to stop ks'n

as a couple mentioned theres always to sides to this its not always just one persons/parties fault.

one more thing i will say which can happen every so often is that if there are 2 parties in one are it is possible to stop looking where your party members are and accidently move to the other party b4 realising you have ended up near wrong party. i think this has happened to almost every1 no matter which class you are.

I love how so many people claim I KS because I only shot the mob with my regular shot. Even if I have them down to half, it doesn't seem to count unless I've poisoned them or something...

I don;t really have a prob with ksing I do have a prob with spot claiming by one person or a group of people. If Im soloing mass mobs or anything in one area I usually either share the area with one person or another or if people want pts. I usually give it to them. I don;t like leachers tho at all when your ready to do your job and not leach then you can join up or else I'll ban you or ask the pt master to ban you or leave especially if Im doing most of the work. Bosses are a different story tho xD I don;t share drops thats how I make my money :P

archers kite, that's fine, just don't kite like u own a spot where someone alrdy is at the spot grinding/questing/doing lic
if archers want to be mean, archers GO FIND SOMETHING MEANINGFUL TO DO!

they are doing something meaningful, they are trying to level.

And since you cant spot claim its upto you to either A share, or B ignore them.

Fun fact, If you arent attacking it when i run by and kite im going to shoot.

I'm an archer, does that make me a KSer?
I don't think I've KSed in my Fiesta career (which is pretty long actually, I just get bored after 2x and keep deleting my characters). I actually haven't really had kills stolen from me either, given that I like to lure things into little tiny corners where nobody goes.
And if I find myself shooting at something that someone else is killing (PROVIDED they got there first) then I leave.
But then again, I play on small-ish servers. Is that not as much of a problem on those servers? (I think Teva got big again. I don't play on there, but I'm poking around these forums and everyone is like TEVA TEVA TEVA. I can't make fun of my brother's friend anymore...T_T)

On topic... I'm not sure what counts KS-ing really? O.o Even if you're in that "spot" a mob that you haven't aggro-ed or attacked is free for someone else to take, no?

Post this in the archer forum, and you'll get a bunch of archers counter-complaining about fighters Mocking/Devaing the mobs off of them and mages Nova/Infernoing the mobs (which kills faster than NM/PS ever will).

To my understanding, I think the OP meant that he hates the archers that DO ks. Of course not all archers KS. It would be silly and even stupid to think so. So when he says archers archers archers, I think he specifically means KSing Archers.

Now, to go onto the whole KS-ing topic (which is what half this thread is about)... What is annoying is when I as a cleric am solo-grinding because there is no one else to party with and I'm strategically fighting something like a kidmon and someone thinks I need help and kill it. Many times, I will try to move a kidmon away from its neighboring cart miners or whatever without attacking it and whoosh a super hero archer/fighter/mage or KSer comes in to "help". Help not needed. Also, when as a cleric I have to actually be close to my target to hit it. I'm walking to it and almost there and boom, someone with range hits it from way far away. FML.
