Party Loot

I'm not sure the party loot is 'working as intended', but if it is, I really don't understand it. Is there anyway to clean it up a bit, maybe a round robin ability? Serious pain watching someone pickup loot over and over in groups...

Also related to parties, is there an easier way to indicate if a person is grouped with you on the screen? My run thru the Labs today was a mess of people getting seperated. Only way I stayed close was the leader was wearing horns, and I just watched for her to move. If there'd been another one with horns, I'd have been lost...

yea the party items sharing is crap, one guy in my pary got 2 lucky balls and all the quest items we were all looking for and i got crap not worth the wieght to carry. as for your question, Go into the game options and turn on the view names of all players w/e its called option and all the people in your party will have Yellow names. hope that helps

Yeah, I've got it showing their names (in yellow ) when I mouseover them, but I'll look to see if I can turn the names on all the time :) thanks for the info.

The party item division system is great,, if the leader of the party chooses random divison than thats what happens.. its truly random..
As for picking up heavy items.. either drop them down for someone else.. delete them.. or sell them to the shop.
The item divison doesn't look at the worth and makes sure people get an equal share.. it just randomly gives it out, so lets say you had 4 people in your group, you would get a 1/4 chance of picking it up, if someone picks up 2 lucky balls.. it is just there lucky day

As a party leader I often use the random sharing - if not, the tanks such as the fighters and rogues get the loot whereas the spellcasters get jack. However, 4 LBs today and I didn't get 1! LOL

I don't mind random loot, that's to be expected no matter what, but the ability to determine how the loot is set, is not easily understandable. In other words, it doesn't always seem to be set to random, and I don't see how you would POSSIBLY want it set any other way. Unless you're a jerk.

I'm not sure where the comment about 'heavy loot' comes from...Just noting that the party sharing is notquite as clean as it could be.

Well, I agree sometimes the random sharing isn't as random as it should be. Perhaps it should be cyclical... since party members are basically in numerical order, have the loot bot set the drops down the line: Party leader gets 1st drop, next in line gets 2nd, 3rd gets 3rd, etc. and start all over again.

One thing I try to do is tell my group is they see something drop they want/need, i.e. quest item, etc. to simply ask for it. Oddly enough, that never seems to happen with lucky balls LOL

4 LB drops... still laughing over that.

1 thing I HATE is when someone asks to join your party then immediately starts taking over.. "Go up here!", "Turn off random loot!", "Turn off sharing xp!" Bah! I recently had one group where we had a lower level rogue in a higher leveled area... although I was party leader this person started harassing this young'n about not attacking, etc. despite the fact I gave specific orders she was not to initiate, only assist as I didn't want these (red-named in her case) mobs attackng her.

Soooo close to the boot button on that one... >:/

yea I don't understand why people do that....it's like "you DO have other party members to think about you know"....I usually keep it on random division of items because I don't want the same people running over and hogging the items while the rest of the party gets nothing....
