Menian Costume?

When I stopped playing fiesta for a few months, when I came back Menian Suits were completely gone. How come they were removed? They were the original costumes, 30 days = like 70 def or something, and there was a permanent with no effect. Will they ever be added back? I want to buy a permanent one :/ I think they cost somewhere between 4.8k-6.8k [Its been like a year since I've seen ~.~]

i just know i want one .-. when i first started playing the were selling them, but the day i finally got some sparkcash they stopped selling them...the need to cycle back some of the "vintage" stuff lol all these swimsuits are overpriced and look ridiculous...i miss the way outspark was last summer :( but i will admit, the new tower nd seg has helped me get all my alts except 1(only lvl42) to 50+ xD

There's 8 on each server, we got them for the vday 2008 event. I have a blue one on my archer, along with a level 50 +9 vday bow.

In order to give the prizes to the winners, GM had to trade it with them. that why those items are tradeable. (like any others SC event prizes).

Fiesta was a much better game and a lot more fun to play back then.
Maybe if they fire the greedy scrooge person who is running the cash shop at this time things will go back to being more like they were before.

If they were to put anything like that back in the cash shop now they would probably charge 7100 spark cash and it would have a 30 day time limit.

But as it is now there is no more permanent anything in the game and even the event prizes are time limited to 1 or 7 days and most are so lame that no one even bothers collecting the drops anymore.

lol, this was my problem when they released the iron cases earlier yesterday, and then I get home for thin to tell me they sold perm menian suits just before maintenance. It sucks, because I want to buy the cases when they go on sale (I need 2 or 3), and I wanted a red menian for my cleric -- but my debit card requires 24 hours between when I request my money and when I can actually receive it on my card. bummer with these surprise sales :\ it's hard to keep money stashed away on my card or in pre-buying spark cash for the hope that something I want might pop up.

I have the money! I want to spend some of my money on something that I want from the cash shop but I can't because someone is playing some kind of juvenile hide and seek game with the items that I want to buy.
Those items used to be available all of the time but now I guess someone (not going to mention the name) finds it more amusing to watch people chase them around like a kitten chasing a laser dot.
Well I can just take the money that I have to spend and I can spend it someplace else.
Like someplace other than the Outspark cash shop.

Yeah, I know what their game is.
It's like they pulled every dirty, sneaky and conniving sales tactic from the mid 1800 hand book of robber barons.
Well it is making me and apparently a lot of other people too very angry at them.
So much so that I really can't deal with anymore and I have to seriously consider abandoning the game in favor of finding something more agreeable.

True. It's just so insanely annoying. Yes, I can charge sc instantly whenever I want. But I shouldn't be. I have bills to pay, gas to put in my car, food to buy. Meanwhile, they go releasing something that I've wanted for months - and know I probably won't see again for months - for a matter of hours. I have to put myself in a zen state of mind when OS does something like this. I feel like for a long time my posts are on the opposing side of OS' tricks. It shouldn't be that way for a game I love and want to help flourish. Wendy reminds me constantly "You came back...". Yes, I came back. I came back knowing that things were probably the same YET Silky should have learned that we don't appreciate being jerked around after a situation like this? The whole situation is the reason why people consider OS money hungry and inconsiderate to their players. I have given up getting insanely angry about it but I understand the frustration of my friends and lovely tevian investors to this game. I think Tamlinari will be a chubby person if they look for lunch everytime OS upsets them >.< (:P). But yes, looking for something else to do after stunts like this is the best medicine or you will drive yourself into hating something you're supposed to enjoy.

What is even weirder, the in game screenie showed her at a peculiar stance. She had feet spread apart and the held the sword in front of her with the hilt towards the sky and blade to the ground. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Its a marketing strategy called a flash sale. Flash as in its there, and then its gone. Usually they last anywhere from 1 hour to 1 day. They are never long. Its a common marketing practice in many businesses, this isn't something Outspark cooked up just to get rid of a few menian suits...its an every day thing that a lot of businesses employ.

Its not a big deal if you miss it. The cash shop rotates, and it'll be back around eventually.

It's fine to be an emotional person but expressing it when viewable to the public may have it's positive and negative effects.

Just FYI, the "Flash Sale" lasted from 7PM PDT to 10PM PDT. That's 3 hours.

My "comment" about the user being to slow was written because he missed it by literally 2 minutes.

"Flash Sales" can occur again with the same item through out different days and times to accommodate different crowds of people.

One guy may have missed purchasing by 2 minutes, but 10,000 others missed out completely from not being in the game. You have to broaden your view from a service point (Outspark) rather than an individual (player).

If management wants this item to go on a Flash Sale again, it will at a different time.

I can't fault you for not being in a good mood, I'm not either...I've had one heck of a week so far :)

That said, its not Silky's decision. He may be the one implementing it but he wasnt the one that made the final call on whether or not it happened. Its easy to perceive that GMs and CSRs run the place over there but they do answer to upper management. If you want to be angry at someone, I can send you a list of who's in charge of what department over there...those are the people responsible for such decisions.

I happened to catch the last half hour of the flash sale myself, I've never been a huge fan of permanent items because...well because I didn't have an iron case on my character for almost 2 years and to me they just took up inventory space. But the cash shop really does rotate through items, they always bring the favorites back again at some point. Like how the V-day costumes and the Christmas outfits keep appearing year after year. The menian costume will be back eventually, and probably in a different type of sale.

So no worries, there are a lot bigger things in life to stress over. -looks at the time- yikes, like me being late for work D:

This thread has moved quite a bit since I went out, and I'm eager to get back in-game so I didn't really read it all... sorry if I missed something important but...

You do kind of come across as being in charge of the cash shop... at least, from your actions and things that you've said, I've gotten the impression that you're the cash shop boss. *shrug*

Frankly, I think the issue is just that we need more time and more advanced notice. If something's going to be taken out, please tell us. Give us a chance to buy it first! And, if something's going to be added or discounted, give us more than a few hours to buy it. Okay some things that are already in the store going on a flash sale is cool, like the cookie packs and the iron case. It sucks for the people who are in work or school at that time but, if the times are switched around every day, everyone will be able to catch one eventually. But something that hasn't been in the store for a very long time, and something that it's safe to assume we won't see again for a while? That's not fair.

I really am bitter about having to charge money on no notice, feeling like I've been backed into a corner and forced to do so. Sure it's a game, it's pixels, I don't need it like I need, say, food. But it's something that I've highly wanted for months. I would've really appreciated having 7 days to do some things to pull together a few extra dollars and make space in my budget to fit it in. I'm cool with "flash sales" but would appreciate a notice of some kind, whether in-game (we all know how much you like to post those green letters about the cash shop) or via forums.

It is, of course, possible that there was some kind of notice, as I was not on last night. If these flash sales are really daily, are they always at the same time?

Mostly likely at a bizarre time, with little to no advance notice, and the price of 5k+ SC.

I'm gonna guess they'll do it again near some sort of 'pinch' time for consumers, "to create rarity."

It is not really a "flash sale" when it is something that doesn't exist in the cash shop to begin with.
It's more like an "artificial scarcity sale" or a "flash here it is and now it's gone again" and you can't even buy it at a higher price in the cash shop until they decide to sneak it in for a couple hours again. And who knows when that will be?
Play Fiesta non stop, all of the time to find out I guess that is the plan.
Well some of us have real lives to attend to in the mean time.

The fact that it is not available at all even for a higher price in the cash shop and they tease you with it like the proverbial carrot on a string.

Can't the people at Outspark provide the players with some fun without trying to triangulate about how to force more cash shop sales?
If they spent less time focusing on greed and more time on how to make players happy the sales will happen automatically without having to use grossly outdated manipulation tactics.

After the site going down for maintenance during they sale yesterday, they had the sale again today.
Luckily I had charged my spark cash yesterday and was able to purchase the sets I had wanted to with that SC, however when I went to charge more today (for someone's birthday present), it repeatedly said my credit card was declined.

Havnt heard anything from them either but it still says is being processed.
