Not sure where to ask this, sorry x.x
I often get in-game money offers for store items, such as 5g for beauty shop, etc. It's really annoying... Are these people reportable or should I just ignore / block them? If it's reportable, how do I report them? Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English.

I think its just a block thing. You did the right things saying no and telling them its against the rules ^^

Umm, just don't do it and you won't get in trouble...these ppl are either scammers or noobs that don't know the TOS.

If they harass you about it? yea probably reportable but as far as i know you can't report for someone asking you to break the rules, Not sure but you could check the ToS, If a player is misleading you or encouraging you to break the ToS think thats a violation but im to lazy to check.

Think thats the link don't quote me on it but think its right x-x lol
i) You may not directly or indirectly encourage, incite, or direct other Outspark Members to violate the Outspark Terms of Service, Rules of Conduct, or any applicable real world laws.

screen shot and report. However I just do a block. To lazy to type out response.

Like each day I have average 3 player asking my characters. =.=

:/ Okay, thanks. I would never do that... I'm a fair player... and it really annoys me if people want to cheat -.- I want to punish them, lol...

Well according to the ToS yea you can report them for asking you to gift for money.
They are directly influencing you to violate Outsparks rule on gifting.

people selling sc items for ingame gold is against the rules stated in the TOS, they should know this already, those who dont know, have a look before advertising that stuff, i got the same thing and yea pretty much was scammed on the spot which they blocked me right afterwoods

i have to ban like 5 people a day just because they ask for sparkcash, and not all of them are noobs lol, i had 2 lvl 55s asking me, i only have a school uniform on nd they think im made of sc, im so not buying costumes anymore .-.
I tell them all its against the rules and that i wont do it, but most of em just say they dont care and then i block the little nublets ^ ^

i tend to warn
then if they repeat, they can't claim ignorance anymore

some people genuinely don't know it's against the rules, although whispering usually infers that they do.
it's not as bad as the roars asking, or the shouts, especially when they are told that it's against the rules, then tell us publicly they don't care and will do it anyway - those are actually fun to report

So I just screenie it and send to OS? (x

yup they'd get a warning and if it happened more then they could be suspended / banned.
If you look at it they person gifting shouldn't be the only one punished for breaking the rules, People are tempted to break the rules by the players offering them money to break it.
Therefore the people who request are as much at fault as the gifter who agrees to it.

Yeah, it actually sounds very good to get gold for store items, BUT I will never break the rules! I've never got banned from anywhere and I'd like to keep it that way :/

hehe, besides theres better ways to do it, ask them if they can gift somthing for free if ur friends with them, not against the rules to do that o.o its just ingame payments for sending stuff that is reportable. but dont ask scammers, tell them to look at the rules before posting advertisements on sc stuff for gold which they shouldent do in the first place =/

Yes kage does have a point, If they just ask you to gift it is not reportable, It is only against the rules if the player offers you payment in return for gifting.

kage32
07-21-2009, 11:11 PM
besides who has that kind of money to pay for gifting anyhow, if it was allowed, i kno it isnt but it'll be like 6-10G for it, plus how do u know u can trust them to do it, their likely just ripping u off to make themselfs rich, so 200 cudos points to OS for that rule to save the hassle^^

Yeah I know. I wouldn't report anyone unfairly ^^
(Even though, I think it's pretty rude to ask for gifts. Especially if you don't even know the person...)

smart thing to do, people advertise for gifting sc items for ig money, block & report (after being warned) if they continue disobeying rules, their just angleing to be banned from the game. not our fault if they do =P

...that doesn't usually do anything...you feel a little better at reporting it; but I've only seen people get in trouble for it by posting for it on forums. A number of people I know (myself included) rarely see people shouting or roaring gift scams get punished despite reports...perhaps they get around to it after a few weeks or after enough reports are sent...but I have not seen it yet

yeah forum related advertising for sc or whatever is much easyer for them to notice than ingame stuff, since shouts ingame ones are mostly done in towns shouting when GM's arent present at that time, they dont do it when they are there however

kage32
07-21-2009, 11:23 PM
i see it all the time, mostly block them if they ask me about it. or about account information which is totaly different yet against the rules too as support alwayse says on forums and ingame

well, i dont really see a problem with this honestly..its the same thing if you buy perfect stones and enhance a weapon to +9 just so you can sell it for gold :P its a fast and easy way to make money for people who have lots of irl money xD ..anyways, you can report, although i suggest just blocking considering he might not even know its against the rules. Not everyone is a forum nerd ^^"

Wen I get SC I usually burn it same day I charge it but then Im like decked out so some people beg me for gifts but I don't get whispers and spams saying gift me.

you know what i think? Eveveryone remembers the ingame game annoucements about buying gold from 3rd party websites? They should do an ingame annoucement for buying and seling sparkcash items for in game money. Atleast they can't use one of the oldest tricks in the book " omg i never knew it was agaisnt the rules" because either way those that don't now will be a small minute percentage of people who will genuinely not know >.>
