A Opinion on Priest

This is my opinion on priest.They arnt the best fighters hving a vary weak
meelee atack,BUT,Make up for that having good elemental damege and the
ability to heal others and themselves.

Yeah... Attacks of priests is kinda 'LOW'. I Mean Like when you Attack Monster, The Dmg Is Low.. But My New Strategy of Priests Is This:
1. I Will Get A Friend/Player.
2. I Will Ask Them To LVL up With Me(Party With Me)
3. I Will Say,"Can You Fight Then When You Less HP/MP, I will Heal You?"
4. If They Say Yes, Then Good.
5. I Will Just stand Somewhere Then IF They Need Me, They Will Just Come to Me And say If They Need HP/MP.
6. Fast Leveling :D

A smart person wouldn't party with you, as you're basically leeching, especially with nowaday's nerfed party experience. They're doing all the work, and the whole thing would go a lot faster if you helped with holy strike.

Priests get nowhere with their melees in PvE, lol. Their only reliable sources of damage are holy strike and holy lightning, if you're a bishop.

Heal skills aren't helpful. It's better to use pots, priest's healing power is not big and they consume lots of mp. If you're not a priest, you will never know.

Priests and their second classes are the most underpowered ones, after fighter and paladin.

Priests weapons are wands. They have less defence and health then most classes, but make up for it with buffing and healing skills. They have magic spells also, making up for their low attack. Priests work best with parties. Dark Priests have debuff skills and damage over time skills. Bishops have very useful buffs, healing and resurrection skills.

No you don't get me, bishops are SERIOUSLY underpowered and only two of their magic attacks are edible, which are holy strike and holy lightning. Earth strike deals way less damage for the same amount of mp as holy strike, it's rubbish..

The bishop's buffs, namely group protection, which adds 20% ele def. and phys def. in ctf, lasts for 15 seconds at a cost of 58 mp. To give you an idea, a bishop has usually got 1000 mp in ctf, and a holy strike costs 30 mp.
Sacrificing 2 holy strikes for 15 seconds of less damage... I don't think so, I'll use self heal instead.

Breath of vitality is another buff; it adds 100 hp of the maximum health, and it does not restore the hp difference. This means we have to use group heal for it to do a thing (hooooooly molly, 100 mp for a heal), plus, it costs 34 mp for 40 sec.
Worthless - 100 hp is nothing in ctf, all fire attacks and sometimes earth can take that down in a flash.

Moreover, you don't need these buffs for a thing, due to their high cooldown and cost, which don't make up for anything. Smart people would bring pots to train, at least at higher levels.

Another point worth mentioning is group heal. It cute and all, but, gosh! 1/10 of the total mp? Eff me! o.o'
It costs nearly twice as much as a self heal, it heals 1/3 less than a self heal - 84 hp. Ridiculous, especially with its cooldown (15 sec).


That means: a bishop has to stick with holy strike only until lvl49. Is that fun? No.
It doesn't even matter if holy strike makes up for the melees (they're rubbish anyway) and I would be damned if it didn't.



Priests work best with parties.

If you're referring to heals and buffs again here, forget it.
It would only be TRULY worth it if the party was huge or full.
But this way, the exp received by each member is tiny.
Plus, constantly healing drains mp very quickly and then the party asks for mp!? LOL.
For your information, heal takes 66-75 mp at lvl49, and mp heal takes 90 mp.

Priests do fine on their own.
Another way it's minimally worth it to party is with an elementalists, who are overpowered.


Dark Priests have debuff skills and damage over time skills.

1. They don't have various damage over time skills. They have one only, which happens to be the weakest poison in the game. It deals less damage than holy strike overall and consumes more mp.

2. Their debuffs aren't very worth it in PvE, they'll make the monsters move towards the player more slowly. However, the cooldown of holy strike stays the same, and, in the end, it would have been the same as dashing and casting, as a priest would usually do in a grinding situation (unless there's some sort of cliff).

Yes i agree with ola swirl, priests and bishops arent the best classes out there.

They can heal yes but, it takes tons of mp to keep your hp at full in PvP and PvE.

And as bishop we get one, maybe two helpful skills (holy lightning, Breath of Life).

By the way, as a lvl 70 bishop, it takes 196 mp to heal 147 hp with group heal.
