i was thinking about the other week when the gm's asked if we wanted new content or bug fixes. well i thought to myself why not have that every week for maintainence. or maybe once a month. that way the gm's know what the community wants and can become closer to their customers. (would've made a poll but dont know how... yea call me a noob lol. if anyone could tell me lol i'll see if i can add it).
basically just say whether or not you like the idea.

yeah let the players have input and help making decisions =3
Been saying that for long now xD
I think Fiesta would really improve if GM's let us have input on their idea's.
Afterall, we are the ones playing it =3

How about we just get a grip on the reality that the poll everyone saw wasn't "Vote, and that's all we'll work on" but an attempt to find out where people wanted the efforts to be MAINLY FOCUSED while still working on both?
But I guess that's too much to ask from a forum where despite it having been clearly laid to rest, people still continually bring up: "Remove PvP from Abysses," "We're still in Open Beta," and a dozen other myths that won't die no matter how many times they're staked through the heart and put back into their graves.

Outspark doesn't actually decide what content (or bug fixes) are released with each maintence.
Onsonsoft is the actual developer of fiesta, they're centralized in japan (i think? or maybe korea) and they are the ones who decide what comes in each patch.
OS does its best to tell them what the players want/are complaining about, but the only thing OS has direct control over (last i heard, and i've heard this discussion a lot) is the Cash Shop.
So weekly polls would kind of be useless, as I'm guessing relaying the general community requests that are already out there, the known bugs and errors that are out there, and planning for the in game events we have (automated events, like the ice cream one) take up a good chunk of their week.
Give them a break, they're trying. And they have asked before, we voted bug fixes and that's what we're getting ... slowly... but they're coming.
Besides, how often do you change your vote in one weeks time?

if you had read my post properly you would've seen that i had put maybe once a month. it gives them more time to decide what they want to put in. and it gives the community a feel of actually being listened to.

Ummm to a certain extent i feel players should be able to have more power over smaller things, Like say if we wanna do some events for the servers, or maybe by votes forcing items into store the mass majority would like to buy for certain time frames. But as for new content and etc? im against players having a say in this. Because honestly? I'd like to cap all 4 of my chars this time x3 i know its not happening ever again and if we had the choice we'd push for new cap raises every couple weeks lol.

What if you cap in a month and the servers completely crash for fiesta? You would loose ALL of the work you had done since the last maint because these maints are also for data back up. Also if we don't have a schedueled weekly maint then we will just have to have unplanned emergency maints when a problem comes up.

He wasn't saying "only do maintenance once a month". The OP is suggesting that every so often they do the poll again, about whether we want them to focus on content or bugs.
Personally, I think there should be balance. We know that new content = new bugs. So, one week add content, next two fix bugs, fourth week routine maintenance only. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Have you suggested that before big?

Something similar, but not that, no.

thank you big. that is what i'm suggesting to a point. let them continue with they're normal weekly maintenances. but once a month (i changed my mind about the weekly thing) let the people vote what they want. more bug fixes or new content. and to keep people happy the new content shouldn't be something big like a new cap level. just something smaller and something everyone can enjoy.

*bump*
keep thread going
The question+poll was put out to help make Outsparkians happy and see what could potentially bring in more money. I think it is more important to have a stable game than a shiny one. Once the game is stable, more content can be added.
As for the maintenances being weekly, OnsOnsSoft gives them fixes to be scheduled into the maintenances and Outspark has the maintenance time set at a late time around where the least amount of (north american) players are on. It also allows for backups and testing if needed. They really aren't that long if you ask me. :)

i completely understand that. and this kinda of idea could actually bring money. some people tend not to buy sparkcash because they may feel that the gm's and other people dont listen (it could be for other reasons too but i'm stating this one). so if people were given the choice at the end of the month between a bug fix or small bits of new content. then people might actually be willing to spend money on sparkcash to partake in the new content.
this is my personal opinion. i might not even make sense but i still think it's a good idea

When GM_Neko first did this poll she told the community that she did a "One or the other" poll was because if she let us say both then everyone would pick both (even her). She wanted to know what we wanted more and the community said bug fies. She also pointed that just because the poll says one thing doesn't that they'll completely stop doing the other. They just need a priority.
