That's where you move, then suddenly "snap back" to where you started moving from, as if tethered there by a rubber band.

And OP, here's the one I think you were looking for:

It managed to sink all the way to page 6.

When your Character bounces back a bit after moving. Happened to me while I was kiting. >_>

[Edit]: Grum beat me to it. >_<

That usually is caused by lag. But I haven't experienced this at all.
It may be your computer. Have you changed it lately?
Got more programs? Apps? lack of RAM? Using too much RAM? Etc...

And to your server statement, we open Cypion not long ago.

Okay, first off- what's installed is probably not an issue. It's only occupying hard drive space unless it's running at the time, and as long as the hard drive isn't crammed full with next to no empty space for Windows to play with that's usually a non-issue. Let's ignore it for now- if hard drive free space were an issue, it would probably be causing no end of problems outside Fiesta and you haven't mentioned any.

Depnding on OS, to find your RAM and CPU type/speed for most up through XP there should be a "My Computer" icon on the desktop. Right-click it, select properties, and one of the tabs on the resulting menu will show these things. For Vista (at least my version) you find the same thing by going to the Start menu, selecting Control Panel down the right-hand side, select "System and Maintenance," then under "System" you'll see an option to view CPU and RAM.

Follow whichever option fits your system, post what you find about CPU and RAM, and we'll go from there.

i did that but i cant find the tab where it shows my info about the CPU and RAM

nvm i found it! i have 1.00 GB of ram and 4 CPU.. is that good?

That should be quite sufficient. The game's recommendations call for half that much memory, and while I think the ratings are lowballed a bit 1 GB should be enough for at least "decent" performance. More to the point, that should be enough to fairly eliminate "not enough RAM" as the cause of your problems.

Well...if I've not missed a critical factor. Are you using a desktop or a laptop? in either case, it could be using onboard video built onto the motherboard, in which case the video chips are sharing memory with the main system. This is more common with, but not unique to, laptops.

And what's the maker/model of this computer? Bear with me, we'll get somewhere- but we've got to get all the useful information to do it.

I could well be using ancient lingo...I've seen it called rubberbanding since the original Quake, and that's been a while. *shrug*

how do i find that? under system properties it says "Intel(R) pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz 2.99GHz. 1.00 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension"

Should be on the outside of the case, or appear on the bootup screen, or both. It's also somewhere in the information you're looking at but I honestly don't know where- I've not owned a machine I didn't build myself for more than 10 years except the one I'm using now, and it's still not Dell/Gateway/major maker so my bootup screen is a logo from Asus for my motherboard.

But the numbers I'm seeing suggest it's "at least reasonably" unlikely the system is the problem.

Have you run into this constant snapback problem since the first time you ran Fiesta?

If not, more likely it's coming from an outside source- possibly a server at your ISP bogged down, or one between you and Fiesta in a similar condition. Although I'm hard-pressed to imagine a cause like that staying constant for an extended time, and unsure what to do about it if one of those does turn out to be the culprit.

Also, what else are you running (if anything) while playing? Instant messengers, music players, and so on. If anything like that is going, shut them all down and run nothing but Fiesta and see if things change.

Aha! I'd say that's your most likely cause then. Like I explained in your first thread, anything interrupting a smooth constant data flow can easily cause this rubberbanding, snapback, or whatever you care to call it.

So with your ISP acting up, there are pauses where your game client and the game server lose communication momentarily. Not long enough to disconnect- but long enough for them to get out of sync regarding where your character is. then they start communicating again, and the server says "I don't care- you're here, not there."

Now for the bad news...not one idea have I what to do about it. The obvious knee-jerk answer is "get better Internet" but I also know that's semi-useless. Maybe calling their tech support can get some results, if it turns out there's some issue from their line to your modem- but I also know what a hassle and often a pain that can be. But it might be better than just crossing your fingers and hoping- if there's a problem they can fix, they can't do it if they don't know about it, etc.
