they drop from all the monsters, there rare, and random drops

Yeah, They're a real pain. I'm level 31 and I've only found 2 so far xD
Check the personal shops for them too.

Buying them is a pain in the ***. Am I the only one that thinks everything that is sold by the users is extremely overpriced? How do they sell ANYTHING?

people that over price stuff in shops, don't have there things sold, the people that sell stuff normal price, things get sold fast, so u almost never see people sell things for normal price, just over priced cause no one is buying it, so there shop is staying up longer~

if u ever want a good price on something, pm some1 that is selling the item u need, and u can get a better price~

The thing with yellow watermelons is they get to be very common drops in the higher levels. I usually get 2 or 3 a day when I am on the assassin or templar. Even my knight usually finds at least 1 per day. Most of my friends quit vending them because they weren't selling and really aren't worth much anymore. At one time I have around 150 in storage because I wouldn't npc them but couldn't vend them either. With the recent new players in the game maybe we need to get ywm back into circulation.
