in the beginning, put 7 points on dex and 2 on str.
until level five, put 3 on dex and 1 on str.
your stat build will now look like
str: 6
dex: 19
after evel 5, put 4 on dex every even number, and 3 on dex 1 on str every odd number.
this is the maximized damage build for rogues. I have a level 18 who hits about 58 damage with his weak attack and 65 with his strong.
rogues are one of the few classes whose weak attack is often higher (with the damage variation) hitting than their strong attack. Use the two as you see fit.
against...
warriors: warrioirs are slow and cumbersome, just block their attacks with defense and evasion and get beind them, push, stun, weak attack 3 times, then poison (until level 18, hit them with shuriken in the back and then at level 24 use burning blade)
monks: monks are faster than warriors but you can easily jump over their attacks and do the same thing as with warriors.
mages: just jump over their attacks, stun, weak attack 3 times, then poison. poison does loads of damage on these people.
priests: they can heal! jump over their attack as with mages, but make sure to keep them poisoned as much a possible or else they'll heal over the damage.
archers: you don't really need to poison them, just fight them like anything else.
rogues: fight as you see fit.
skills:
-poison: lasts 9 seconds, drains some hp and some mp. in the arena, it does in the 20's of damage every second for 9 seconds, meaning it hits somewhere around 190-200 damage in total. use it often, the hp drain isn't that bad!
-sprint: increases your movement speed for a few seconds, use it in unison with hide to catch up and sneakily attack enemies.
-evade: increases defense. this can be useful if you get caught, but a good rogue who uses their agility won't need it too much. get it anyway.
-hide: makes you invisible for a short time, takes a while to recharge. use it in the beginning or to get away. be aware that your dashing/jumping can still be seen/heard as well, so don't let those give you away.
-shuriken: deals slightly higher damage than normal over a good range and recharges quite quickly, as well as using very little MP. good for hitting frenzied berserkers safely.
-burning blade: lots of damage (i'm only level 18)
assassin skills:
-assassination: it's like sonic slash, deals good damage and can be good for moving around because it's faster than dash.
-blind: i've been preyed on by this skill many times, it'as definitely a good one.
-ninja trick: you still take damage but it's good against monks/warriors, it allows you to re-appear behind someone after you get hit.
I'm drawing a blank on the rest.
fighting against advanced classes:
berseker: watch out for their skills. crescent slash will hit you lots of damage if you're standing close at all, weapon shackle prevents attacks, frenzy is good to run away from, sonic slash you could just jump over (if you can figure this out, try to jump and land right behind them after they use sonuic slash because of the short period of vulnerability), and you should just dash/assassinate away from heaven strike.
paladin: just like a normal warrior except for that they can heal and make themselves invincible.
shaolin: as with monks, jump over their attacks.
counter: stun them before you attack or else you'll end up hurting more than they do.
elementalists: jump over their attacks, watch out for the ice rain attack, fire wall, and wind nova.
summoners: fight them like a normal mage but watch out for Meteo and their pixie thrower.
bishops: avoid their attacks and hit them before they can heal.
dark priests: not sure how exacly to fight these, just try to avoid their attacks.
snipers: fight them like a normal archer but make sure to avoid the arrow rain.
beast masters: fight like they're just an archer and avoid their pet's attacks.
assassins: avoid their attacks a all costs and beware of the ninja trick.\
trappers: fight with caution. they often stun, web, puppet, repeat you so that you cant fight them back. if this happens, fight with everything you have to get out.
at level 30, your stats should be (if following my mold):
str: 18
dex: 103
every 2-3 dex points will raise your weak attack and strong attack each by 1 point. every 2-3 strength points raises your strong attack by about 1, but it'll take longer to raise your weak attack. trust me, you'll need the extra strength. this is a maximised damage build, i've been testing it for a while and it hits harder than all dex.
with this build, every level will raise your weak/strong attack by 1-2 each. trust me, you'll be hitting hard by level 30.
