#1 - Abide to the rule that you will use your items for good, and never for evil. You must swear that you will never be mean, instead of being helpful or such. This event is to help and try to make the community more friendly, and so I want it to keep it that way.

#2 - Under your list of items, write a paragraph of why you deserve the item(s). This will seperate the ones that are willing to do a little work, and instead I can give to the ones that can actually express it. (I will also need a professional screenshot of your character as well)


#3 - I cannot say this enough. If you're order is taking too long, or if you're impatient, I will immediately take you off the list. Remember that I am trying but if you very well got a expensive item, you will know delays. So remember...no rushing.

Realizing that I can use Game Cards, anyone that asks for a non-giftable SC item, I will buy a Game Card, and of course give you it's PIN number. (Expect a small delay)

#1 - Each week someone will receive the requested SparkCash items each week, or even a little more. It can't be no more than 3 items or less. Prices are limited(if it's more than 8'000, expect delays, because I want to try and do the lower orders first. Makes the others satisfied, no?) So remember that. When it reaches the 1st it will go back to 10, but when it's past it will be straight running back to Five! I know, it sucks. >:3

#2 - To all who got items over the limit of 8'000, as said, expect a few but not long delays for your item. I am trying my best to fulfill your need, all I ask is that no one complains or bothers me about it. Thank you. (As a example, Iron Cases and capsules will have a few delays, as the price of said items are above 10'000. Know that I will not forget your order, but accept my decision of finishing the other requests that are much cheaper.)

#3 - I send my heartfelt thanks for the person who reminded me about this particular subject(You know who you are. >:3). I now realized charms and tough cookie packs have been used countlessly for the sake of PKing and War abuse...please, try and respect the one rule I have, and used these things for just, not of evil. If I could get a few people to help and check the status of things of each server, it'll help alot...but that will probably happen in centuries.
But, this is all I ask. Do not use my items for the sake of evil everywhere! D:<

I give you kudos for being proactive in trying to help the community. There have been a recent rash of players promising but failing through on sending out free gifts which made left most people cynical that such prizes pay out if ever.

I liked the idea that you wish to give the newer players with money issues a chance to look pretty and all they have to do is to be altruistic. But before you can effectively influence others perhaps you should show others an example of what you would do that in your eyes that helps out the community as a whole. While sparkcash is a nice reward, there are better ways to get your contestants excited about joining your contest.

Other rewards in order of importance:
1. Recognition (Shiny forum MVP badges, POTM, Something you can't buy with money, etc). Make the contest hard and let the contestants work their behinds off, they will notice the self improvement and become better in the long run in achieving their own personal goals without relying on others for charity.
2. Appreciation (Maintain a close relation with contestants for although you are the sponsor, without the contestants there is no contest).
3. Praise (Always be positive and set an example for your contestants to emulate).
4. Money (sparkcash or gifted costumes, it can motivate people to do things but never for the long term).

Cycle 3 of Top Model is my way of showing appreciation to Fiesta and all those people who make up the Fiesta community. I will do my best to make a fun and educational experience for the judges, contestants, and voters alike ^^.

The contest is spread out into 4 voting cycles with each model posting one screenshot to go with their one paragraph minimum written responses to each week's challenge question.

Week 1 is exclusively decided by the special judges and cycle 2 Top Model finalists Applepod, Naomi89, Celtic_Princess, and saueracker. The reason being that the poll is only limited to 10 options, but I have 26 official models the first round. If any of the original 26 models can not continue on for whatever reason. I will use the Wildcard/alternate list to replace them only for week 1 voting. Each special judge will each have a one time use immunity card to be used in the rare case that a model submitted an exceptional entry and that judge felt the model should be given a second chance. This helps to combat potential *unfair voting practices.

Week 2 is decided by the player polls, the players themselves decide which Top 5 Models will move onto the semi finals. Here's the fun part, a special judge may use at their discretion to throw a one time immunity card to give any model a second chance and move onto the next round.

Week 3 is decided by the player polls, the players themselves decide which Top 3 Models will move onto the finals. Off course any special judge who have not played their immunity cards may do so at their own discretion.

Week 4 This is an experiment in a very unique voting system, its a combination of players, special judges and maybe the staff working together to decide who's Top Model of Cycle 3. The big secret will be revealed first to the finalists and special judges. It's so big I will need to request assistance from cycle 1 finalists FatalLace, _CareBear_, and PrincessAi along with the cycle 2 finalists lol.

*Unfair voting practices: Please do not create or use multiple accounts created by one person for the express purpose to insure the model you like make it on to the next round. I understand how some people really want to support their friends but its best for models to make it on their own and not get special help in the long run. A person can never truly grow and improve themselves if they are constantly being protected by others.

Oh also I as the sponsor will manually remove any suspicious poll votes reported to me via PM only please. I do not want to distress my contestants on issues that may or may not be valid until I can research it with concrete proof.




Schedule of Events

1. Week One: 26 Official models go head to head in a battle of beauty and wit to win the special judges favor! Only 10 left standing will be moving on to the quarterfinals decided by the special judges.

-Deadline for week 1 model submissions: Over.
-Deadline for special judges submitting their scorecards: Over.

2. Week Two: At least 5 official models out of 10 will move on to the next round.

-Deadline for week 2 model submission: Amended to Friday June 19, 2009 at 7PM Pacific Standard Time.
-Deadline for week 2 voting polls: Amended to start from Friday June 19, 2009 evening PST through Tuesday June 23, 2009 evening Pacific Standard Time.

3. Week Three: At least 3 official models out of 5 minimum will move on to the next round.

-Deadline for week 3 model submissions: Friday July 3, 2009 at 7PM Pacific Standard Time.
-Deadline for week 3 voting polls: Starts circa Friday July 3, 2009 at 7PM PST through Tuesday July 7, 2009 at 7PM PST.

4. Week Four: This is the finals where only one will be crowned Cycle 3 Fiesta's Top Model!

-Deadline for week 4 model submissions: Thursday July 16, 2009 at 7PM PST.
-Deadline for week 4 voting: Starts circa Thursday July 16, 2009 at 7PM PST through Wednesday July 22, 2009 at 7PM PST.




Schedule of Prizes and Winners

1. Week one: (Winner of Mesa Pegasus = xNimue)

-The model with the highest score determined by the judges will receive a random SC (Spark Cash) gift from the sponsor.

2. Week two: (Winner of Hawaiian Palm Swimsuit = lenore_lurks) (Winner of $10 prepaid sparkcash code = mynkon) (Winner of premium beauty coupons = all semi finalists)

-The model with the most points determined by judges will receive a random SC gift from the sponsor.
- A poll voter will be determined randomly and receive information to reimburse a $10 SC gift card code.

3. Week three: (Winner of Blue Dragon Pack = ShonenHero) (Winner of $10 prepaid sparkcash code = gh0st89)

-The model with the most points determined by judges will receive a random SC gift from the sponsor.
-All models who advance to the semi-finals will receive a predetermined SC gift required to answer the next.
- A poll voter will be determined randomly and receive information to reimburse a $10 SC gift card code.

4. Week four: (Winner of 30 sets of costumes to share for the Live Tour = lenore_lurks, princessyfeather, and ShonenHero) (Winner of $10 prepaid sparkcash code = HeartsxAces) (Winner of $10 prepaid sparkcash code for Congeniality contest = sinful_delicious).

-One model whether they make it to the finals or not will receive a Mr/Miss Congeniality prize of $10 SC code for just being super. The winner will be determined by a vote of your peers ie the models themselves.
-All models will receive a big surprise TBA.

**Qualified poll votes: Any voter must have their Outspark profile set to public, long enough for the sponsor to verify your join date is prior to June 8, 2009 with one friend minimum. This method helps curb the creation of mutliple accounts by one voter.

My friend birthday was awhile back, and I wanted to do something for them, and they mentioned, that they had a weapon that could use enhancing. That made my hopes plummet, seeing as I can't get sparkcash. So I couldn't do that for them, and put that aside hoping that someday I'd have the money to buy a sparkcash card to get some enhancement bundles. So then, my birthday rolls around and my brother gives me a sparkcash card :D unfortunately, it's not enough to get any enhancement things, seeing as the price went up.

So now I come to you, hoping that you could help me out. I don't know how many bundles this would take, but I'm hoping there's a way to get at least two tier three bundles.

I've been used to this kind of thing IRL, ever since I was Ten. The money comes from what little I get from chores, my allowance, and the support of my mom and cousin. Yes, it could get tiring, but doing this kind of thing makes me happy. So all in all, I don't mind it.

Please do ask something you really need instead. And consider the price. Seriously. He is trying to give to everyone and accommodate all requests, please put aside your greed somewhere else. I'm not pointing to anyone. But consider that he is using RL money, be a bit more considerate please ^^

There are a few expensive ones that I think are OK to ask seriously like skill reset or stat reset. There's no fun in playing your character if you know he/she sucks right? XD But yeah, anyways that's my point, be considerate of the gifter as well as well as others who might need gifts ^^

Here's a suggestion to help you determine what you need: what's your goal for the coming weeks of playing? Is it farming? It is leveling? Is it earning more money? Working on your production scrolls? =p That can help you to think of what to ask that will really benefit you or what. Also this can help lower down the requests so that he can gift a lot more others!

How can you be more considerate? By looking at the price that you asked, if you are asking for 2 items and one is super pricey, try to think which one you feel you really need. Or try some other items instead. Or how about this, asking for 30 days when you rarely play every day of the week? Those kind of stuff. :)

It helps this act of kindness to last in the long run which is what I want to see personally ^^ This means more people will receive gifts right? :)

Wow, I must say this is quite impressive. Finally, someone who cares about the people instead of just himself. I'm not just talking about Fiesta either, I believe mankind has limited it's own rate of progression with the invention of currency. Currency in general isn't a bad thing but mankind has gotten to the point where money is a priority is the lives of almost everyone. I always had a vision that maybe the world would be a better place if we put money to the side every once in a while and created something truly epic and beneficial simply just because it needs to exist.

Anyhow, I've personally always wanted an Iron Case for My Archer but they're so darned expensive that I usually just bought something else. This would probably be the absolute best gift I've ever gotten from anyone EVER. Well I respect both your opinion and previous posts' opinions (on how you should give money to charity).

Truth is that you are free to help out whichever way you find to your liking. Some might help old ladies cross the street or some do community service, some will help in charity, some might give gifts for the happiness of others, or some will do many of these at once. It doesn't really matter which action you take and none are better than the rest, because the true meaning of it all is to help out and give a piece of you to make another happy. :D

I don't have enough money to do this on fiesta but on another game when their first cash shop came out I set up a section for friends/people I knew to sign up for something they wanted and I would give out things from a list through out the month. Yes, it's just pixels but if someone doesn't understand the meaning of small happiness then that's their own issue. You're free to chose what you like and people getting all after school special doesn't make them the better person. I'm sorry that your idea was disrespected as you've put time and effort into your idea.

Heh, what Chaola said makes sense but despite what others think about online games, its escapism from the hells of IRL is but a small distraction but a good one at that. If this game helps people forget the sad things in their life even for a bit, and it helps others meet awesome friends they would not have otherwise met, I think what he's doing for an online game, a silly online game, is truly worth while.

If you have that much money to waste, on strangers and pixel items, why not keep the money and give it to charity ? or some organisations to aid people/research traitements for sickness/cancers etc

Or found an orphan who doesn't get to eat, nor to go to school, instead of giving it to teens who can't bother to move their asses to work to gain money for their own entertainment. And don't say you're too young to work, babysit or little "jobs" like that could get you enough money for pixel items.



I agree with your statement that the money could be better spent but since its his event he can run it however he wishes to as long as they follow the guidelines set by Outspark on forum posts.

From the OP's posts I think Icetra had a super relationship (R) side to his personality and there is an altruistic side to him that he would rather help others before his own issues. If Icetra is interested I can assist him with structuring his event where he can create a long lasting legacy of good will.

I like using this analogy, If I was a kind fisherman and I come upon someone down on his luck I have 2 options.

1. Give the man a fish to feed him for a day.
2. Teach the man how to fish.

Giving a fish to the man to eat is quick and easy but the next day the beggar will get hungry again and ask for another fish then another and another. It gets much worst as more beggars comes seeking more fish from the fisherman but the fisherman is only 1 man, he can only fish so much in a day.

Teaching the beggar how to fish is more time consuming and difficult but the extra time spent on the beggar to feed himself saved more energy and effort in the long run than feeding the beggar for life. But as you teach the beggar your skills, the beggar becomes a duplicate of you and the beggar teaches another beggar and by passing the kindness forward. The number of potential people who willing to help the community will explode exponentially.

I can say recently that I have been requested for a lot of sparkcash gifts from random people. I turned them all down because I do not believe giving something for nothing is the right way in helping people in the long term. I believe in passing down my skills to others so they may learn to help themselves, so they in fact can emulate what I did and help much more people.

The skills you learn in life is one of the most valuable assets you will ever have in your life because no matter what bad things goes on in the world and you lose all your physical possessions, you will always have the skills you learned from others which may help you survive many hardships in life.

Nothing great in life comes for those without hard work and discipline.

Please do ask something you really need instead. And consider the price. Seriously. He is trying to give to everyone and accommodate all requests, please put aside your greed somewhere else. I'm not pointing to anyone. But consider that he is using RL money, be a bit more considerate please ^^

There are a few expensive ones that I think are OK to ask seriously like skill reset or stat reset. There's no fun in playing your character if you know he/she sucks right? XD But yeah, anyways that's my point, be considerate of the gifter as well as well as others who might need gifts ^^

Here's a suggestion to help you determine what you need: what's your goal for the coming weeks of playing? Is it farming? It is leveling? Is it earning more money? Working on your production scrolls? =p That can help you to think of what to ask that will really benefit you or what. Also this can help lower down the requests so that he can gift a lot more others!

How can you be more considerate? By looking at the price that you asked, if you are asking for 2 items and one is super pricey, try to think which one you feel you really need. Or try some other items instead. Or how about this, asking for 30 days when you rarely play every day of the week? Those kind of stuff. :)

It helps this act of kindness to last in the long run which is what I want to see personally ^^ This means more people will receive gifts right? :)

But...When I was a nub on my mage (which is lvl 92 now), I messed up with my skills and skill points. >.< And I can't really change it since you need a skill reset capsule/scroll to do so. So my wish is to recieve either a Skill Reset Scroll or Skill Reset Capsule. =)

The most you can do to show your appreciation is to turn around and help other people, even ig. Icetra, after reading this whole topic (since my last post... not much before) I must honestly say I envy you. I used to be just like you, willing to do the unthinkable solely because I wanted to. To give things most people wouldn't ever give up, and to do what I believe I was meant to do. But somewhere along the road, something happened that changed me in ways I didn't realize until 2 years ago and now I don't like who I've become. Looking at you reminds me of what I used to be and who I want to return to being. Something is holding me back, something I cannot get over and I'm not 100% sure what it is but I'm certain it had something to do with moving from my home town at my parent's decision right when my life was about to have a breakthrough into self-achieved independance.

Anyhow, thanks for making this topic. Even if you can't live up to your promises, knowing that you WANT to lets me know that maybe there's a chance I can get back on-track, though honestly I doubt it =/
